- [Stereo feed] The journeyman bassist teams up with Mr. Weir for this performance on cable television in the US.
Thanks to the two commentors who stressed the song was incorrectly named "Throwing Stones".
Sad loss. I forgot how great he was. I had the pleasure of seeing he and Bobby when they opened for JGB at Old Orchard Beach in Maine. (1989)
Saw those two together in Philly around this time it was awesome!
Grateful to have seen him live several times, what a joyful skill Rob has! Weird is the most wonderful rhythm guitarist of all time ❤️
He played my hometown in the early 00s and was outstanding. Went outside to smoke and he bummed two cigarettes off me and we chatted a little.
Rob, thank you for healing me that night at the Wiltern with Bob Weir acoustic, Now your eternal Brother:)
I never appreciated this song that much when the GD played it live, but its a masterpiece. Complicated composition.
This has always been a favorite! Now even more so!!
Rob, maestro!!
This is amazing.
They played Ventura Theater in 91. Great show.
Respect to Rob
This arrangement of the song is great. I finally feel like I get it. Wasn’t really a fan of it before.
Rest In Peace Rob.
Ive been sick all day, and now I wake up to this lousy news. 😭 RIP
RIP Rob...

RIP Rob!!!!
R.I.P. Rob
boa muito boa..kkkkk

That's "Victim or the Crime" not "Throwing Stones".
+stc123420 Thanks for the original correction, although "the powers that be [namely youtub]" cited the song "Throwing Stones" when it was first uploaded...
“Throwing Stones” was also performed in the studio for this taping. I was the stage manager for the shoot.
Amazing Performace. Barlow's Lyrics are in point for what a Herion addict thoughts are! 100% ON POINT
@@billmcevoy you sooo lucky
Dude that's fucking Victim man.....
+Jason Pope Thanks for the additional correction, although "the powers that be [namely
youtub]" cited the song "Throwing Stones" when it was first uploaded...
No problem
Is it me or does music have a feel of Nick Drake to it here?
Definitely :)
@@harvoa6785 cool good to know somebody else knows Nick and his style of that really weird tuning he liked to play in.✌️🎸
@@truckerkevthepaidtourist I heard some of the vocal lines, like Drake.
But you are correct, also the bass lines/rhythms remind of Drake, e.g., ua-cam.com/video/aXnfhnCoOyo/v-deo.html
Don't think 'journeyman' is the right word.
