Thats why i love listening to him. The news crew on Kron 4 SUCKS when it comes to the weather. They seem like wanna rush through their reports on the weather. Daren Peck is the best.
@@TheJordanHunt3r that's right. I can never really "hear" the important information when the other 2 weather person bubbling through the numbers in one breath. exactly why are they in such a rush , like always !
This is the most amazing meteorologist that I've ever listened to! After a couple of minutes I feel like I understand weather systems (from being completely ignorant before). This guy sure has the talent for explaining complex principles in a digestible, understandable way. What a talent!
Love KPIX’s weather report. This has got to be the most detail and educational report in the country. I have learned so much about weather forecast from watching KPIX weather reports. Now I can explain to my wife why the weather is different from what’s on her weather app. I think she walks away whenever I start going over the European and US forecast models 😂
In the 80's they used to neglect the subtropical component unless it was extreme. Every cold front had a tail in the subtropics but the instrumentation in those days probably wasn't sensitive enough to detect a significant contribution at higher latitudes.
Darren is the man. The whole KPIX crew is excellent, but Darren is the man! Thanks for this high level of detail, super cool.

This is the guy. He is passionate, takes it most seriously, and is usually always right.
The best! I even send links to my dad on the east coast to see Darren in action!
Thank you Darren! I wish we could see this kind of breakdown for every storm - it's so helpful.
Exceptionally informative Mr. Peck. I am a proud weather geek and find the discipline fascinating. Very nicely explained.
Thanks for this thorough explanation of the upcoming weather!

Darren is the best weather forecaster in the Bay Area, there, I said it.
Couldn't agree more

Love the detail!

I feel like I’m watching a college lecture, and I mean that in the best way possible
This was fascinating and I learned a lot. Thank you Darren Peck!

Good info. Thank you
I used to live in Fremont and now in Socal. The quality of his weather presentation is superior than Socal's stations.

Well most people off themselves in Seattle, it's very gloomy there, I think it's the absence of the sun, but please we all know Saturn is depression

Really this is normal NorCal weather. It used to be anyway. In fact the storms in the 70s and 90s Were routinely Monsterous compared to this.
