- Time to try another great vintage recipe! Today I'm cooking from Meta Given's Modern Family Cookbook, and it's a weird one :) This 1950's jello vegetable salad even has cheese in it, and of course my husband Gianni had to try it! It was awful, but it was fun!

Omg the sound when it popped out of the pan😂
I loved Gianni's reactions to your meal. I glad he gets a bownie.
LOVE this video, and so very grateful I didn't have to taste it. Thank you for these vintage recipe gems. They make my day!
This was so funny. Canned peas and cheese do not sound good at all. But Giann's face was precious. I love when he joins in on the taste tests. He's a good sport.
I love your husband! You guys are so cute together! This video just made my day - thank you!!
Oh my gawd! John and I watched this and laughed until we cried and then got ourselves into a fit of coughing😆😆 Great video!
Yessss!! I love these videos!! They are my favorite! 🎉❤
Yummy I love trying new things
Fun Claire I love your ideas and my dad just ordered me a big eight pack of those prime lemonade I’ve never had before ❤❤❤❤and it’s coming to my group home Thursday
Another great video 🎉🎉🎉
Vintage Cooking with Claire ❤
Gianni's face 😮 waiting in anticipation of how it will taste 😂😂 lol 🤮🤢😅
Maybe add some ham and bananas to it. Lol
Des's face too 😖 😊
Love your videos Claire ❤
Poor Gianni and ham/banana are the first things that I think of when I see you get your recipe books out. Desmond's face! 😂 I feel it could be worse...Jello gelatin that's sweetened for sure. It seems like a take on pea salad? Maybe the molded one came first? Gianni deserved two brownies for sure! 😂
I was thinking the same with the ham and banana 🍌😊😂😂
All I can say is two things: 1) y'all are brave and 2) thank goodness meals encased in gelatin/aspic have been left where they belong, in the past. 😂 That "squish" sound as you scooped it out...🤢😬🤣🫣🤔🤣
Beautiful
Pea water. Good one! 😂
These videos are always entertaining! Gianni’s reactions and brutal honesty just make the videos 😂
I don't like peas😮
Also I went on Amazon to find your journals for recipes. No luck🤔
The mayo on top, just set me off 🎉🎉🎉 NOPE. Lol
Maybe, id try it, without mayo. Lol 😀😂😂
My grandma used to make jello salads with like regular sweet jello and coleslaw mix. It was our dessert! I also think one of the grosser things my family made was my mom’s tomato aspect. It was lemon jello, Campbell’s tomato soup, sliced green olives, celery and then topped with mayo or possibly salad dressing ie miracle whip… I finally got her to stop making it in the late 2000s when I told her it was disgusting!
Oh my gosh! 😂
I love your spirit, but the thought of a veggie jello mold makes me sick😂😊
The only thing this recipe is missing is a can of flaked tuna! That would have really elevated the entire dish! 😂
You are fearless in recipe selection!
I love being able to connect with the past, even if it’s weird 😂😂😂
