Wow - that is an impressive weight loss! I've lost 11lb this year, most of it between Feb and April when I was on a calorie counting diet. I stopped doing the diet in April, and since then I've lost a further 2.9lbs, which is great because the weight often goes back on once you stop. I think the key for me was doubling the amount of protein I was consuming, as I've also been trying to improve my strength, doing minimalist training (I also read Atomic Habits earlier this year!). I have a cow's milk intolerance so I started taking a vegan protein shake every day, which I consume as a soup. I increase the amount of protein after a workout/hard climbing session. It's definitely helped improve my climbing.
Thanks. It’s actually a more steady loss than I’ve achieved on more ‘extreme’ diets :) And yours sounds impressive. Upping protein is a good strategy. I understand that protein triggers the ‘full’ response faster than carbs or fat, so you end up feeling less hungry quicker.
Smashing that like button 🤘! Great progress Gordon, really impressive! Great to see the steps you’ve made. Also would be great to say hello in the bouldergym, but it’s a tad far away haha. So here’s a digital ‘Hello!’ Since Atomic Habit I also started walking on a daily basis plus I’m illustrating again, but now with baby steps (really enjoying that again!). So can’t thank you enough for that 🙌
Hi Gordon, congratulations on the progress you've made so far. Losing a stone is no joke, you've done really well to do that in such a short space of time. Keep going. Looking forward to more climbing vlogs, i keep getting little hints and tips from watching the various members of your group climb.
Congratulations on that progress so far! Well done!
Good luck on setting in those good habits
Thank you so much!
OOOOHH! Part 2!
Yup. Have at it
At least there is a plan! Go for it Gordon! 💪💪
Thanks. There is indeed a plan and I’m committed to working it.

I can’t wait to start the hanging core workout again!
From next week.
