Thanks for letting us update CMS without third party tools! 2 questions: 1. Any recommendations for importing rich text? For example, if a client writes a blog post in Google Docs and then I want to bulk upload the docs using csv. 2. Any plans to allow for bulk uploading newsletters? One of my clients is a historical society with monthly newsletters dating back to 1975. Would be great if I didn't have to update it individually but so it goes.
It would be nice if you allow exporting products including all related custom fields. Since bulk editing is extremely important for e-commerce as well. I just payed Integromat 60 bucks just to export all products and it took me 2 days (1400 products).
Thanks for this but we miss important guidance on exporting to Excel. Doesn't work on my collection, we get a lousy CSV file with no titles, no columns and only 2 rows. You should also give more guidance on how to export assets like images or video files.
I need to bring the collection IDs and item IDs from the CVS to a restored project not to break my integrations (Airtable, etc). I can't seem o be able to 'force' the CVS item/collection IDs upon importing the CVS.. The option to map these is not there in the import window. Please help, how to go about this?
I understand the need to export and import data for CMS, but why Webflow cannot make a plugin for google sheet that keeps the google sheet synched with the CMS without the need of a third party like zapier?
Syncing data between platforms requires an intermediate platform that listens for a signal from one platform then, based on that signals instructions, sends that data to another platform. With the Webflow CMS API ( developers.webflow.com/ ) you can do this without the need for Zapier, but you'll need to code it yourself and setup a server yourself to listen for a signal from Google Sheets and then send that data to Webflow CMS. The reason why Zapier and other platforms like it are valuable, is that you can do all of this without coding and in a visual way. Hope this helps clear up any confusions :)
But: 1) Custom fields are not imported or exported from the Products table. 2) If your design is broken and you need to restore a backup, your Collection ID's will not be the same anymore. 3) The mask to edit individual data records is a disaster Conclusion: If you depend on proper import/export, you have to add your own ID to the datasets and keep your data reference external (MySql, GSheet...) and work with the Webflow API.
"I'd like to import my Multiplan sheet, please." "Can't do it." "Why?" "If you read the description above you'll see that that format isn't supported." "I want to import my spreadsheet!" "We ask that you please bear with us." "Bear with you? People should be able to import any format they want!" "Ideally."
"No Grimur, we're still on step one!" 😂
Nice work Miguel! Looking good!
LOL I am just wondering, it is more fun watching the tutorials than Netflix and webflow is amazing
We NEED this for E-commerce CMS's too!
I love this new feature. Thank you. I really looking forward to memberships and logic though.

If ok, please provide files to help us follow a long with the tutorial
I didn't saw McGuire in the last few videos. That lets me hope, he is working on something big.
How do we update it via mobile? Not everyone carries a desktop/laptop
where's the old guy?
Does it import the images of the cms item as well?
Yes. As long as the images being imported is a URL of where the image currently is.

Curious to know the Amount of 3rd Party Apps webflow has to make the store more effective? (Shopify have over 3200)

Oh Hell Yes!

Does this work with images?
