    I just love you guys. The cms-filter is such a joy to use - and it just works. Could you guys please take over webflow? I cannot imagine what your team would be able to build with the resources of webflow. Or even better - you could lunch your own web-builder-cms alternative? Heck I'd switch to a finsweet CMS-Web builder with no questions asked.

    Really nice tools guys! Fantastic work! One thing I can't seem to find an explaining for in this video or in the documentation is having multiple category item to select like you show in your documentation. In your documentation you show it is possible to select different categories like "Park", "Paid tour" etc, but you have seem to forget to show how to implement it? Or am I completely missing something obvious? xD

    Love the content and how RAW they're delivered, but I do have ONE REQUEST. Can y'all add CHAPTERS to your videos so we can navigate to the content that's important to us? Y'all cover a lot in this video WHICH I LOVE, but I'm specifically looking for the CMS Load discussion and how to implement with CMS Filter.
    *BTW* - I just built a website that I never thought I'd be able to by using Attributes. Super easy to learn and implement!! THANK YOU!!!

  • @cristina.aytecdigital
    @cristina.aytecdigital 8 місяців тому +3

    Hi guys, it's amazing how powerful and easy to implement your solutions are!! 🔥We already work with a number of them on our projects, thank you so much! There's just one thing we didn't achieve yet: search by date range. I understand that 3 attributes need to be set on each filter-fields and collection-fields relating to the "from" and "to" dates: field identifier, filter type and range, right? However, we didn't succeed yet! Is there any specific tutorial on this topic? 🙏

    • @pheal
      @pheal 5 днів тому

      Yeah, but it ain't that great. Their CMS Load attribute prevents Google from indexing pages correctly. It's a known issue that I unfortunately discovered after some months of using it. The worst is I saw on their forums other people were complaining about it, but they decided to ignore instead of putting a warning on their site. Absolutely awful behavior.

    This is awesome, Joe. New subscriber here!! Is it possible to filter if the items for the same collection are set up in different grids? Since they're all from the same collection, would the filter read each collection individually to find the right tags/labels and only show those on the screen, no matter what collection grid they're in? Or do all of the items need to be in the same collection grid in order for the filter to work? I hope I'm making sense...

      Hey Andras. To select only one button at a time, use radio buttons! By default this element can only be selected one at a time. Works the same way in the filter system. We have had several requests for the list to start empty. It's on radar for a feature addition

    OK #1 I RE-implemented everything on my current site I'm building that had used finsweet tools with the new Attributes in under a few hours and It was so easy!!! I love it so much. Question on this video though, you mention "there is no delay" when it filters, is there a way we can add a delay so that the content fades or animates in? In my case multiple items I click still load the first result and it's not very clear to the user that the filter is working.

    • @joekrug8980
      @joekrug8980 2 роки тому

      Hey Jennifer! Great to hear this. You can adjust the duration the filer duration in ms. The example right now is set at 0. I've just changed to it to 50 to show the fade effect: cms-filter-example.webflow.io/. On your Collection List, find the attribute fs-cmsfilter-duration = 0 and change that to 50, 100, 200, or whatever!

    This is one beautiful, functional work of art! I can't quite figure out the multiple instances (i.e. having multiple filter controllers on one page... "filters-2", "filters-3"). Though it says this works on the main page, I can't seem to get it to work, and I don't think you covered it in this video. Any resources to help me get that working?
    Thank you so much for your Webflow contributions. Finsweet makes Webflow F'n SWEET!!

    • @crooker2
      @crooker2 2 роки тому

      Maybe I misinterpreted. *IS* is possible to control one list with two controlling filters? I was able to add a filter (down the side column) and filter-2 (across the top of the page) to a single collection list, but maybe I can't control one list with two filter forms. Any help or advice is appreciated.
      Either way... kick ass suite (sweet) of tools.
      EDIT... I came to find out later. No it is not.

  • @Reapertips

    Wow! This is lifechanging! Would I be able to somehow have the search function on the navbar and when people press enter, make them go to this filter view page and show the results of their search?

    • @Reapertips
      @Reapertips 2 роки тому

      Another similar question, what if I have categories links on a homepage. Can the user click on a category and make them go to this filter view page and show the category they selected?
      Those two things I don't know how I would handle. A navbar search and clicking on a category link somewhere outside the filter view page.

    • @Reapertips
      @Reapertips 2 роки тому

      Okay! I think I figured out the categories thing.
      I'd make each of the category buttons in the Home Page link to the Filter Page by adding the suffix to the link "?category=Category1"
      - Now all I need is a way to do that, but this time with the search field.
      Is there any way I can mirror what they typed into the search bar and do something similar?
      For example, if they type "searching for something" into the search field in any of the navbars and press enter, it will take them to the Filter Page with the suffix "/?*=searching+for+something". That's how I think it'd work but not sure how to implement that.
      Thank you for reading 💙

    Why is he using different CMS collections instead of a single one? This makes the regular data import more difficult.
    Can this filter also be implemented if only one CMS collection is used? (i.e., filtering by different fields from this collection)

    Hey! All clear thanks.. except for the following.
    I've created a dropdown in my collection items, lets say 4 categories: Marketing, Production, Transportation and Logistics.
    Every vacancy has one of these sectors added to it.
    When I create the filter and bind one of the filter fields to the sector, I don't get 4 filter sectors. I get 10 times marketing, 4 times Production etc.. Because multiple vacancies have the same sector. How do I solve this?

    This looks great! 1 question: If I use the "*" to set up a search field, will it search ALL the fields in the CMS, or only what is displayed in the relevant list? E.G. setting up filters for a blog page. The blog homepage (where the filters are) has blog cards with title, summary, etc. The full text of the blog article is in the blog post page. If I use the "*" will it search the full text of the article, or only what is in the card?

    Hey, is it possible to make a single radio button label to have multiple values to filter?
    E.G. - a radio button with a label "Shirts, Pants" -> apply filter for "Shirts" + "Pants" text on the cms item
    Thanks!

    Amazing!! Does it work with once I export it to Shopify through Udesly Adapter? I’m trying to setup a simple Product filter system with a custom theme! Thanks a lot!

    Great! Do you guys plan "dropdown" as filter solution?

    Great set of tools! Implementing them is so easy. There's just one glitch that I'm facing with this: On Safari and Firefox, the filters work on first load, but if you refresh the page then they don't. Works well on Chrome though.

      @@andreaso.1549 Got the fix for this. Remove any other forms from the page and this will work. Your page should have only one form block for the filters.

    This was so easy!!! Thank you! I am having one problem. Previous and next refuse to sandwich the pagination. They always preceded the pagination numbers. Any ideas?

    It's a great tool and I found it very useful :)
    I only encountered one problem and would appreciate your help @Finsweet. If I filter using the radio buttons, after selecting one of them, using the search field is problematic. The same in the other direction. If I use the search field then I cannot filter by radio buttons.

    Absolutely amazing... thank you so much for this! Unbelievable value! Couple of quick questions: 1) when I have along list of options for a checkbox list, would it be possible to set a local search bar that points to that specific collection list, which then will filter the main collection list?. 2) Say I have options for years of experience: +5y, +10y, +15y, +20y.... If a user selects +5y, I also want to the filter to select the +10, +15 and beyond... is there a way to write a logic to "accumulate" options? Thanks!
