Morning. Just woken up too find this . Know these pubs well as well as the beautiful market town..Louth in Lincolnshire with the Lincolnshire Wolds . Great too see Louth as I left in the late 90s and live down in Dorset .
Hi great video. I was born in Louth and when I was at school i did a project on the pubs in Louth, still have it somewhere 😅. Years ago there was 52 pubs in Louth, yes you could go in a different pub every week of the year and not go in the same one twice 😮
Pity you missed The Brown Cow (just along the road from The Boars Head) is a great free house, Woolpack at the Riverhead well known for food and I think the only Batemans pub in town plus nearby is The Gaslamp, another fabulous micro-brewery that still burns a few gas lights, hence the name! There's a 4th micro brewery too called Munyard...
Great vid mate. As a Yellowbelly myself, I always thought of Louth as a place just for foodies. Never realised there were so many great pubs! My eyes have been opened! 😅
Thanks mate, that's the whole reason we do what we do 3 times a week, every week haha, to make sure that we can show pretty much everything a town has to offer
@@thegreatbritishpubcrawl I've always liked Bateman's Ales. They're proper oldskool English beers and if I'm about that area I will drink them enthusiastically. That's part of the joy of travelling around our country; trying local delicious beers. I'm sure you both concur. To me it's showing respect for the place you're visiting that you sample and support local produce and businesses rather than multinationals.
@@thegreatbritishpubcrawl The Guinness Guru is rumoured to loiter in streets near to quality Guinness dispensing establishments and torments with his crazed rating system (out of ten) and 'Limericks of doom' after drinking a pint. Oh yeah he's got a youtube channel...* now changed to Daragh Curran. ;)
We didn't 'miss them' - we trawled around everything that was a sensible walking distance in the pouring rain... we never 'miss' (God, I hate that word haha) anything... and always make return visits to everywhere we go

It's made to think there were once so many! Hopefully the town doesn't lose any more 🍺🫶
Love a pint of Bass at the wheatsheaf.

Great video, we've recently moved to Louth so will definitely visit some of your recommendations, thank you!
Thank you ❤️🍺
The millers daughter was the busiest pub back in the day i grew up there and moved away in 07 alsorts of crazyness went on in there 😂
meant to say many of the older locals still pronounce it "Luff"..
Hahaha... so many regional ways of saying things that I'm learning as I go 😂🍺
I'd have thought so. Its population is 17000 and there are 3 Ratebeer recommendations. So it's not outstanding but still pretty good.
We loved it

Unfortunately you didn't manage to get to The Brown Cow (133 Newmarket). Great atmosphere and food.
We'll be sure to get there next time 🫶🍺
Have you met the Guinness Guru? ;) There would be a time/space collapse potentially if you did,
Haha... no I haven't... where would I find such a person? 😂

Like most vloggers. Too much of your face and not enough of what is around you. Enjoy …
