One of the best channels on UA-cam! Have y’all ever considered making an instructional video, to show y’all’s thought process for ball selection during league/tournament play? Like what ball to start with, when to ball down and so on?
Original Phaze would probably remind everyone of the Zen. Really strong in oil for a pearl and smooth off the end of the pattern. Probably fit between the 2 and the 3. One of my favourite Storm balls ever. Favourite line would have to be anything with the Melee Jab core. I've had maybe 5 or 6 balls with that core, and they've all been stand-out pieces for me. I think I said last video, the Knock Out really lined up well for me on 2022 Viper. I've never felt that comfortable on a sport shot before. I hope they put it in more balls forever.
I’m a huge fan of the Phaze series. I bought the Phaze 2 back in 2016 and still rolling it. I got the Phaze 3 when came out and just order another one. I have the Phaze 4 on order. Can’t wait to pick it up on Friday.
My personal favorites are the I-cores from Track. All the lines with them... version 1,2 and now 3 have always matched up well for me. (Hx line, Paradox line and now the Paragon.) 2nd is a tie with the Widow line and the Kinetic line.
Even though I'm primarily a Storm guy, I'd have to say the Game Breaker line from Ebonite. Extremely consistent and versatile pieces. I have the original from back in 2007 with hundreds of games on it and it still has plenty of reaction.
I love my Proton Physix and Axiom, different lines but same covers. Seems like several lines have died off including the Physix, I'm curious if they will come out with new shiny balls with the physix cover?
Love it amazing but just one thing I’m going to ask kindly for Jordan to stop burning a hole in my wallet. I just found my perfect league ball. THE IDOL HELIOS ☀️ I’m not trying to get this yet 🥺. Also would you do a review on the roto grip gem 💎?
Was the original Phase a pearl also? Never remember that ball even coming out. With that said love the Phase 2, one of the most versatile balls I've thrown in a long time.
Yeah it was a pearl. It was definitely not received all that well, which is why the Phaze II when it came out was a quiet success until folks took notice of how often PBA pro's were throwing it in tournaments and on TV.
Out of what's currently on the market the Widow, Game Breaker and Phaze lines as they cover a lot of ground as for as stuff that can be used on a wide variety of patterns at various points in league or tournament block. Before I had to stop bowling again the Brunswick Mastermind line was another one that was really good as well.
I might have to put the money together for the Phaze 2 and 4. I've never thrown anything from that line and, I only have experience with the OG Idol, !Q Emerald and Crux Prime. I liked the Prime out of box but, after about 50 games and deoiling it, it lost alot of its hook, thus being removed from my arsenal. The OG Idol guided me to my best series about 3 years ago of 769. The !Q Emerald absolutely stunned me out of box and opened my eyes to the benefit of having a pearl ball in my arsenal. I forgot about the IQTNP, which turned out to be disappointing for me. The Rubicon line, OG for me, is just a killer ball. And I really like the Nuclear Cell. My current arsenal is pretty solid for a house shot, with the Axiom Pearl rounding off my bag, other than my spare ball (Pitch Black). Great video though, Jungo! Love your content! 🤘
You guys should do a old vs new school type video with the storm line Hyroad iq shit like that vs the newer line stuff. That would be cool to watch! Love the videos guys
Being a Storm fan the IQ series has my vote. My highest game was with the IQ Tour 30. Too bad it cracked last year. Missing the R2S shape now. The IQ Tour Edition is a great first ball. The SonIQ has plenty of backend hook and so does the IQ Tour Nano. I've had the IQ Tour Nano Pearl for a short time. I had a pretty good series with it not long ago and I had to keep my speed up with it. The IQ series covers most all conditions you'll encounter and does it well with several coverstocks.
Roto's Cell line will always have a special place in my heart. Hot Cell was my first big urethane and I loved the hell out of it. When the Nuclear Cell came out, I was just floored at how easily I could make that thing boom off the dry. Maybe not the best balls ever, but I love them.
Phaze, Phaze and Phaze. I have a II and a III, which will probably get a 4000 to it and the 4 is on order. For me, on heavier oil, the Axiom and Incite are a nice combination.
Best lines of balls, really good question on that 😅, in my experience on Lock series having Sure and Snap, these 2 helped up quite a bit when I first started bowling. I really wanted to try IQ and Phaze series, but didn't had that opportunity, but nonetheless, every ball has its strong and weak points, always find the right ones that suits you! 😊😉
Personally from someone who's only been bowling for about 2 years with an average of 160 I really love the Physix line from Storm. Astro first choice for me!
I have 2 of the older IQ balls, the tour Nano and your fusion and they’re still really good after 7-8 years so for me that’s probably one of the better lines but I love the Phaze line too
Can you do a comparison with the Spectre and Wolverine? All 3 of these are pretty close together and curious as to what you see in terms or hook and backend.
I'm partial to the Xfactor or the Virtual Gravity series. Those are the ones that I had at my disposal before my spine injury. :) The Phaze 4 is the kind of ball I would have loved to throw. How does it compare to the Dark Code, the X2, the UC2, and the Trend 2?
Imho, the phaze 4 looks like it's equivalent to the hammer Scorpion on the Brunswick side. Scorpion is the same in that it gets better as the lanes burn up.
I would say Storm's Gravity line. Just based the sheer popularity of the Virtual Gravity and Virtual Gravity Nano. Everyone was using them, myself included
I am at the beginner level of bowling. When it comes to choosing a ball what types of balls are best for House shots? i am not good at hooking the ball at all yet but still would like to know what balls are best for house shots at my local center
Juno what do you think of the phase 2 compared to the Helios? Phase 4 looks very nice , I have the phase ll, & lll, I love the core, I like the phase line, I used to love the widow line. Thanks for the great video
My house gets a lot of light mixer strikes and my Phaze 2 excells at that. Hard for me to ever move off that ball. It's so consistent week to week for me personally.
My Favorite line is the Marvel series. I believe storm should bring some of the overseas releases to the states. The marvel S and marvel pearl were sooo good. I’d love to see an R3S pearl cover on the centripetal core. Or even NEX hybrid
So how do you set up the phaze4 ball for extreme dry lanes ? will it work to play up the boards say 7 board go down long swing back without over reacting ?
Hmm.... favorite line... I've honestly rarely had multiple balls from the same line. I look for very definitive differences in my arsenal and I subconsciously worry about them overlapping a little
Original phaze is basically a zen 8 years ahead of its time. People didn't like it back then because it was a pearl, but didn't do anything you thought of when you thought of a pearl ball.
Question I have a original zen and altered reality. Would you still get a phaze 4? I start out with a phaze 2 then usually throw the reality if it’s hooking early I go back to the zen. Would a phaze 4 be beneficial after the phaze 2 starts going into the pins flat? Thanks
Yes, for sure. The coverstocks on the Zen and Altered Reality are quite strong, so they will likely hook too early when the pattern really breaks down. The Phaze 4 will get down the lane easier and corner much harder than the pearls you currently have
Phaze 2 or Reality? Current arsenal right now is Phaze 3, Altered Reality, and Rubicon UC2. 2-handed, 500rpm or so, and about 17-18 mph on average! TIA :D
My assumption would be consistency between balls. Some balls have more cover stock and less outer core, some balls have thicker outer core and thin cover stock, heck they’ve made balls with all cover and just inner core. So that would be my assumption, same reason people get thumb slugs
What would have really been a sick thumb nail would have been a black back drop and essentially 4 jungos starting from a picture to an outline each more transparent than the last then in the center frame he's looking down at the "phase 4". That was a missed opportunity. Lol
Pretty much summed up what I've been seeing phase 3 seems to have an inconsistent reaction where phase 4 has similar shape but saves its energy better.
!Q lineup is by far the best in my opinion. Just the !Q solid alone is one of the best balls ever made. I will say the next installment in the line needs to be something with a stronger cover. That line really doesn't have anything in the upper tier of hook potential at the moment
Favorite line of balls??? Thats a tough one. The Boss line and Rock line from Columbia were awesome. Then the Triton line from Track back in the day as well (Heat, Elite, and Elite Pearl). In the modern game, there are not many "lines". Obviously the Phaze and Hyroads come to mind. I do not consider a pearl and solid version of the same ball as a line. Obviously there are 4 Phazes and the Hyroads you had the original, X, Max, Nano, pearl, and solid.

I would go with the Crux line. The original was fantastic. Same goes with the Crux Pearl. Omega is a staple in my bag now as as the Alpha.
Original Phaze would probably remind everyone of the Zen. Really strong in oil for a pearl and smooth off the end of the pattern. Probably fit between the 2 and the 3. One of my favourite Storm balls ever.

My 3 ball bag is an OG Black Widow 1.0 (Still a workhorse), Trend 2 and Spectre ... The perfect progression of Shape
The Code line is also very solid, I’ve had the Code Red, Black, X and recently the Dark Code and all are really good
I’d say the Rubicon line that Roto has is pretty spectacular! Great diversity and the UC3 is one of my favorites rn
love the melee line from brunswick or the (insert any color) hammer lines, always rolled good
In my opinion the Hy Road line is the best line of bowling balls out there
Best intro ever. That phaze 3 guy is amazing
My personal favorites are the I-cores from Track. All the lines with them... version 1,2 and now 3 have always matched up well for me. (Hx line, Paradox line and now the Paragon.)

I know a lot of other people see this but R2S pearl usually ends up being easier and smoother apposed to r2s hybrid that snaps more.
I was thinking the same thing, i have a phaze 3 but im getting a 4 because i love that sr2s coverstock
I really like the Rubicon line. I have all 3 and think they are all fantastic. UC3 is my current go to ball
Just bowled my first 300 in practice the other day with the og rubicon. The ball is so versatile.
It was a pearl with a different coverstock. It wasn’t very popular though
All time favorites are Marvel Pearl and Phaze II, but I have shot some very nice sets with the Phaze III.
I will definitely consider the
Phaze IV.
Out of what's currently on the market the Widow, Game Breaker and Phaze lines as they cover a lot of ground as for as stuff that can be used on a wide variety of patterns at various points in league or tournament block. I use to like the Brunswick Inferno lineup alot. The Phaze lineup is my new fave.
I might have to put the money together for the Phaze 2 and 4. I've never thrown anything from that line and, I only have experience with the OG Idol, !Q Emerald and Crux Prime. IQ no doubt is the best line in my mind. Put any cover with that core and they've always been a winner.
i love the idol line if i had to choose a good line for me. getting a phaze 4 - love the videos - very informative keep up the great work
My favorite line, if we’re allowed to go old school, has got to be Zone. There were SO many good ones!
Please do a phaze 4 vs the Trend !!!!! Both are late game balls that haven't been compared yet. Awesome review👍
You guys should do a old vs new school type video with the storm line
Hyroad iq shit like that vs the newer line stuff. That would be cool to watch! Love the videos guys
My favorite line was the OG Hammer line. Unfortunately, a wrist injury ended my bowling back before reactive balls were introduced.
Love my phaze4 absolute beast.
The Cell line is awesome along with the phaze.

The Raw Hammer line, Black Widow, and, the Obsession line

@@Mikey-1990 I loved my Hyper Cell fused but unfortunately it cracked. My No Rules pearl is still going strong though!
Is your Phaze 2 drilled pin down? I like the Phaze 2 Phaze 4 combination. Enjoy your videos man!

Game Breakers from Ebonite or Solaris line from Seismic Solaris Pearl, Requiem, Blackout, Platinum. Those made me so much money
Storm company's line-up: Storm, Roto Grip and 900 Global.
Personally from someone who's only been bowling for about 2 years with an average of 160 I really love the Physix line from Storm. Astro first choice for me!
The iq and hy-road line definitly for me
I have 2 of the older IQ balls, the tour Nano and your fusion and they’re still really good after 7-8 years so for me that’s probably one of the better lines but I love the Phaze line too
Idol phaze is my favorite the Helios is good for house shots in league and switch to the Zen when the Lanes Burn up.
How about the hustle line? I’ve had scored with multiple different hustles balls. The ink was my favorite
Without a doubt the IQ-line or the Hy-road. I remember loving the Fury-line from Brunswick also back in the day 😁
With the phaze 4 be a good ball with the hustle camo and the roto grip rtsx2
Right in between!
Can you do a comparison with the Spectre and Wolverine? All 3 of these are pretty close together and curious as to what you see in terms or hook and backend.
Going with phaze line

itll hook less and travel further down the lane
i still throw the xfactor lol
Toss up between this line and the DV8 Nightmare line
Rubicon series of balls is great!
could we see a comparison between the phaze 2 at box and phaze 4 at the same surface? Was thinking of getting a phaze 4 and scuffing it.
