I feel like we’re twins. I also suffer with really bad IBS along with Fibromyalgia (and several other chronic illnesses) and our symptoms are very similar. I’ve changed my diets so many times since being diagnosed and nothing has worked. It sucks. At this point, I feel like the only thing I can eat without getting sick or setting off symptoms is water. Seriously sucks.
I’m sorry you’re going through this, but at the same time, thanks for making your videos; I don’t feel so alone. Best wishes to you! 👍🏼

I know exactly what you mean! That's why me and my doctor agreed I should not have a "diet" and simply eat what I like and makes me happy cause I was getting major food anxiety. Sometimes I eat a thing and it's fine and sometimes I eat the same thing and I feel terrible, so you know, it's impossible to know. I just try to eat varied, balanced and healthy, and only avoid stuff that REALLY sets me off, like bell peppers, cauli flower, cabbages, beans...
I'm sorry you're also experiencing this, but like you said, glad to know I'm not alone, and that me sharing my experience helps others :)

See, this is why I love UA-cam: it puts in contact with people who I can relate to and learn from. 😁
Like Olga, food seems to be hit or miss with me; a certain food can be fine one day, the next it wrecks hell on my body. And like Jenna, being on restrictive diets (currently on a gluten, dairy, and sugar free diet), even repeating them, doesn’t seem to make a difference or help. So I think I need to adopt both your attitudes/perspective of just not being afraid of food and eating what makes me happy. 🙌

Samantha Fisher I’m so sorry you have this as well. I always say I wouldn’t wish the pain and struggle of fibromyalgia on anyone because it’s so terrible! I hope you’re doing okay. ❤️

So true! I feel like a lot of people don't understand this though, that diet and medication doesn’t always help everyone, and that my body just does what it wants and I'm just along for the ride.. I dont know. But I'm so happy to find other people who feel the same way and that you guys get to be in touch with each other too!
And yes, Annette, ever since adopting the "oh well, my body is gonna do what it's gonna do, might as well be happy" has so helped, because I just eat what I want and makes me happy and at least my mental health is less affected by it. I hope that makes sense!

I've been very similar to you so very tired. Pain ramped up. I'm still plodding on slower than I would like but I'm not at a total stand still. I've spent a lot of the weekend in bed again been a little grumpy and down. Roll on the spring.
I still deserve a pat on the back 2018 I probably had twenty weeks of sick time. I probably had around four weeks Last year. We shouldn't feel bad having the odd days in bed but it's so frustrating my tolerance for it is low. New week tomorrow so start again 😂
I hadn't even realised you didn't post last week and that is very unlike me.
    Love your new makes.
-think about not going as often to see them tbh I'm sure the packing and unpacking plus the travelling is doing you in.
Take care hope you have a better week let's try and pace 😉

Aw I'm sorry you're feeling a little down too. You're right, we have a lower tolerance for it when we start having them more often.. I guess it's a good and a bad thing.
      Thank you!
Yeah, I have to go spend a couple weeks there at the end of the month and I am dreading it a little. I will try to stick to my schedule like at home and do my own thing a little. I'm taking my sewing machine with me so I'll be busy hehe

I can totally relate to your ibs-c issues. It’s so frustrating. I use Smooth Move tea. It’s the only thing that works for me. The diets didn’t change anything for me either. I just started medical marijuana so it’ll be interesting to see if it helps my ibs-c. From my experience you can get allergies later in life with having autoimmune issues. I’ve developed so many like latex and contrast. I would like to know more about the spoons. I don’t know much about how it works, but it sounds like a good idea. I totally get not being able to mentally deal with fibro and it’s issues. I started to see a counselor a couple weeks ago and I’m feeling more hope. This is a difficult condition to manage. So far I’ve learned that I need to give myself grace. I’m working on that. Boundaries is something I’m learning to incorporate as well. I’m sorry you’re struggling with it right now. I hope you start feeling better soon. 😊💜

Your comment was so lovely, thank you! ☺️ I would love to know how medical marijuana goes for you - it's still not legal here so it's not on the table for me to try but I'm interested in how it works for others. I think it happens with autoimmune conditions but also happens with fibromyalgia. It's very common to develop sensitivities with fibro.
About the spoons? I'm not sure I know what you mean, sorry! If you mean the way we use the term spoons for energy, then look into "spoon theory" (I've made a video on it in the past actually!)
I did therapy for 6 years and feel adequately able to tackle my anxiety & the lows of chronic illness, but I feel it’s still important to share the downs. Without therapy I would not be though, so I definitely recommend it to everyone. I hope it helps you as well :)

I didn’t know fibro could cause Ibs flares. My stomach has been bothering me for like 3 weeks now. That makes a lot of sense and yes. When it gets bad I get so weak I can barely talk

I don't know if it's the firbo or the IBS on it's own but I have always had flares, and generally times when stuff works better than others.

Olga Chronics I take dicyclomine and it works really good. It’s a miracle drug for stomach cramps. When u see ur GI doc, maybe just ask about it. It could help. 💕

Thanks for the tip! We actively try to avoid "drug" kinds of medication and stick to natural/simpler stuff cause my ultimate goal is to manage my health without drugs, but thanks!

I have...chronic cough now too been with for couple years now A chronic cough is when a cough lasts longer than 8 weeks in adults or 4 weeks in children. Common causes include asthma, allergies, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), or bronchitis. Less commonly, it can be a sign of a more severe condition, such as a heart cough or lung disease. persons with fibromyalgia (FM) exhibit many similar symptoms: a chronic runny nose, a congested head, a throat-clearing cough, or a maddening postnasal drip.

Interesting.. Thank you for this! The three common causes you mentioned we are testing/treating already, but I still have a cough. Hopefully when I see my doctor next time we can figure out what is wrong or get closer to it.

Hi, I so appreciate it, but I'm not available to do that, I'm having a hard time keeping up with the work I already have. I'm sorry!
