- This song is from WTK's EP known as Between the Ink and Paper. This is my favorite song by We The Kings. It incorporates so many different styles of music, I wish they would release new stuff with this sound to it.

Call the constable
There is blood in the streets
Call the constable
Call the constable
There is blood in the streets
Call the constable
White chapels stained with shame
Like a child, you fell right into my game
A sprig of grapes and chardonnay
Did you even know my name?
A gentleman with horse and carriage
Is four pounds for the taking
I gave birth to the twentieth century
They couldn't have done it without me
You fear my name but not my face
Is that where you went wrong?
Escape from your lungs, awake Mary
There's a taste of laudanum on your lips
This feeling is numb
The way you've pulled me in
So go ahead and kiss me goodnight
Comatose and two pints for the ride
No one can hear you cry
Where did you go wrong?
You marched the streets of London
Never saying a word
It seems like heaven and hell
Are fighting their waiting for you
Did someone follow you there?
(Did someone follow you there?)
Is that where you went wrong?
Did someone follow you there?
He was so clean
Like the knife was an extension of his body
Escape from your lungs, awake Mary
There's a taste of laudanum on your lips
This feeling is numb
The way you've pulled me in
So go ahead and kiss me goodnight
Comatose and two pints for the ride
No one can hear you cry
So clever I never rushed
I never said you meant this much
So clever I never rushed
I never said, I never said
So clever I never rushed
(Where did you go wrong)
I never said you meant this much
(Where did you go wrong)
So clever I never rushed
(Where did you go wrong)
We never said you meant this much
I never said you meant this much for us
I never said, I never said
I never said you meant this much for us
I never said, I never said
So clever I never rushed
Call the constable
There is blood in the streets
Call the constable
White chapels stained with shame
Call the constable
There is blood in the streets
Call the constable
White chapels stained with shame
My face immediately lit up within the first five seconds of first hearing this song. Amazing. We The Kings/ Broken Image are so amazing! :)

The intro is the best part in the entire song.
Another extremely underrated song.
I love how CTFxC for the win is written on like all of WTK's songs.
Ohhh Charles Trippy, you have the best friend core =]
Although i love We The Kings, im listening to their old stuff now (even some of their De Soto and Broken Image stuff) and its so good!!! Dont understand why they changed up their sound so much. Lets hope on their next album we hear some more stuff like this :D
@WeTheAllTimeCab I know, I didn't know about this EP either and it's really good! I love WTK, someone please share a download link for the songs with me! pleease!
the beginning sounds like the intro to the scientist by coldplay...
but this song is amazing!!!
Intro Seems "fall far you" by Secondhand Serenade xD
@thebeast8890 it is a vlog it means charles trippy famliy core
kid cudi def sampled the intro on his album dvd
What is CTFxC anyways i see it everywhere
FUCK YEAH GOOD JOB
they all have the most rediculous hair... i love it
:O Can you send me the songs? I've looked everywhere to get it and I cam't find it! I have every other album and ep just not that one!
CTFxC FTW!!!!!!
@rcuff1: i should hope it isn't based on the film... the book - extremely well researched, beautiful, and scary as hell - was infinitely better. also, it's called "laudanum", which is an opiate, used commonly in victorian times as a pain reliever.
I don't understand why people keep writing ctfxc stuff on here, Charles wasn't even a part of the band when they made these! Idk, it just annoys me :/
no, not really.
