The "Fisheye" Shotgun Slug - Viewer Created - Insane accuracy
Вставка
- Опубліковано 18 бер 2024
- Today we test out another design by Brian of Nor-Cal. Made from a stack of washers carefully centered in a resin jacket, these show fine workmanship and consistency between each slug.

The slug exploding needed a Sonic the Hedgehog sound effect for when he hits something and the rings go flying everywhere lol
You win best comment lol
😂😂😂
which one?
/watch?v=9JjBAOrwZhU
@MarkoDash - the one where when Sonic hits something and all his rings go flying. 🤦🏻♂️
My thoughts exactly, but I want gold washers 😅
Red beets...that last shot was worth my subscription in itself
Exactly what I was thinking...
Took the words out of my mouth. Beets for the win.
I was looking to comment pickled beets.
Yes go Beets!!!
Cherry Pie filling!
The lead plate always brings back memories of Danny, glad it's being handed down and reused 😢
Danny did perfect the lead plate using a cake pan. he found a bunch of lead scuba weights at a yard sale so he actually made 3 plates from all that.
I never met Danny, but I sure do miss the guy. If you were to look up 'Ridiculously cool dude', then there would be a picture of Danny, possibly catching the spent cartridge from his gun. 👍👍👍
I still re watch the Minié ball video. That was some crazy shooting.
@@JohnBeck-pb9xl First time I saw Danny was when they were shooting at swords. Danny destroyed some that were edge on to him. That blew my mind.
@@brianartillery his shooting was next level. And a really lovely person to boot. No joke the video that Geoff released of him shortly after he passed away made me ball. RIP dead eye Danny.
Turning Cornelius into the Great Cornholio!
fortunately lacking any bung hole
@datadavis
In these tough times, good to save on TP
@@nemesis3329 I use the pressure washer
The close up slow motion with the blurred floral background is very artistic! Like a Monet. And Cornelius is the best target in years, maybe since Danny cast the lead plate.
thanks!!
Lead plate for the win.
from "Kern County!"
Cranberry sauce and name him Berry Cranium.
Cast in something canned that's inedible like eggplant (YUCK) You could then say he's an egghead... AND CORNS just TOO damn TASTY TO WASTE!! 😢😢
Thanks to Brian for sending in this Fisheye slugs. Appreciation to Zach for his Ex"zach" accuracy, And a tip of the proverbial hat to Jeff for his table top, loading and excellent filming. Thanks for posting!
thanks Nelson
@@taofledermausyou should try the 45 caliber explosive pellets they seem really cool they're used for varmints air rifles have come a long way. Also ik you probably don't have the time but Tennessee outdoors did his gell tests in a really cool way he once tested a brenekee black Magnum bear slugs and it was really impressive.
@@taofledermausalso color water inside condoms is usually what most companies use and 3D printed plastic. The FBI standard is certain amount of denim on I believe 10% ballistic gell a certain depth of penetration and it gets a stamp of approval. The old army standard was just thick plywood.
@@taofledermausgrey Poupon like Kentucky ballistics
@@MR.Gunworks We try to avoid shooting glass jars full of liquids.
So its canned corn in there! Beauty! Gives a new meaning to "In one ear and out the other" .
He just cob-bled it together.
Loved the second shot to Cornelius, with the corn flying out side to side and front and back at the same time. That was a great target. Exceptional accuracy too. Great job Brad.
thanks David
Maybe I'm just demented, but there's something hilarious about that head flopping back with all that corn squirting out the front, hahahahaha....
I laughed so damn hard. Funniest target I've seen in a long time.
I thought it was hilarious as well.
count me in the demented crowd, too funny.
I also hop on the train... realy funny 😂
It isn't just you
"Cornelius" was an excellent salvage-purpose for the used-up gel!
Chili has to have beans in it. Without beans you just won't get the same volume of gas that a good chili will produce. If OG was there I\m sure he would have mentioned that and the band he was part of called Hot Chili and Beer Farts.
Great job on the head and looking forward to seeing more of it. Don't know how hot the jell is when you pour it but balloons or Ziploc bags would allow all kinds of liquids to be use and any volume as well. Thanks for all the great content.
lol thanks
Reminds me of my 90ś band named tow jam I agree I want my beer chili farts to hurt
Ok, Cornelius is brilliant as a DIY target,!! Well done, Jeff!
thank you , Tim
I love that little mini mushroom cloud of corn on the second shot. Can’t believe it stayed inside the head! That was totally cool.
Cornelius's head now "creamed corn!"🤣
6:10-6:41 - That honeybee that dropped in from the top of the screen quickly regretted his decision and NOPEd the flock out of there!!
lol I didn't even notice the bee!
Nice. As impressive as catching the rotation on these slugs is, watching the bee flap its wings was really neat. Good eye, Max. 👍🏻
I love watching the insect's reactions in slow motion
The high speed film is magnificent.
I honestly believe that film of any kind is as close as we will ever get to time travel.
It gives people the ability to see the past in as much detail as the technology will allow.
GJ taofledermaus!!
Great call out -- I missed that! I wonder if that was the first time he ever encountered a pressure wave? 😆
This was fricking awesome round. The shooting was great by Zach. And your creativity with targets and heads is really fun. I appreciate your channel.
thank you Tracy
Put a can of beets in and rename the head Deadbeets.
Amazingly accurate for a stack of washers in resin. But obviously the best thing in the video was Cornelius.
Did not expect it to contain the corn, not only once but twice!! How cool were those shots! Amazing!!
13:35 some sort of pressurized can/shaving cream should be top of the list for this is the future! the Cornelius was a great target LOL
Can of red silly string.
"it's kinda rare that we get lucky on the first shot" classic Jeff. I know how complicated loading is, I just love how you get surprised everytime 🤣
It's nice when the slugs just work. So much can go wrong and often it does and that is no fun!
@@taofledermaus absolutely
That lemon got atomized. Great job, everyone.
Right on, corn in chili adds some sweetness
Love the DOOM tune.
Fitting
thanks!
@@taofledermaus used to play that a LOT
Brian's idea as carried out by you is definitely impressive.
thanks!!
Wow did not expect them to be so accurate, And i was impressed with the penetration when you shot the gel block, Did not expect it to go all the way through.
Now this was a FUN video. Thank you Jeff, and Zach for your AWESOME accuracy ! ! !
Those shots to Cornelius were beautiful.
Daggum! So nice!! Definitely need some long range shots...see how they drop and wind effects them!
So awesome!
Keep em coming!!!!
Great corn-ographic content.
This made me think; Surely we can fit a tiny camera inside a shotgun slug by now.
Good luck with 10k psi pressure.
@@mhadlock78It’s not the pressure, it’s the gees of acceleration.
Although… I’ll point out that during WW2 American engineers took the newly designed British radar system, that sat on two big trucks, and crammed it into artillery shells so the shells would detonate at a preset height above ground on the way down. Those survived thousands of gees reliably.
If that could done with 1940s tech, I have confidence that somebody will figure out how to put a video camera inside a shotgun shell and make it survive. It will need to use some kind of rapid radio link (faster than Bluetooth) to get images, SD cards aren’t going to survive impact.
There was an april fools video on a bullet cam made like 6 years ago.
The two problems here:
1. Making the camera survive the acceleration
2. Getting the footage to survive / off the bullet.
I did more research. Seems you're right. Damn@@danielstarr2483
An air-rifle has enough oomph to distort the image of some scope cams. Don't think a cam will survive a shotgun launch.
❤ it.
Great video as always 👍🏼👌🏼👏🏼
thanks Horst!
Great video, Zach adds a lot of fun, Thank you both.
It's a good day when Taofleder uploads
Incredible consistency with that slug. Impressed!
Good job on the cut away shell for demonstration. Thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
I truly love this channel, I've watched for a long time now, and I can't get enough of your content. I think you guys deserve a huge audience. You have great chemistry with officer Mike too. I'd love to add that as someone who has lived in LA County, CA. I love seeing content from here in this genre. This state is so restricted when it comes to this stuff, but you've not only figured out a way, but also do something quite unique. I would love to see you get some big sponsors and a signal boost. Take care, and keep doin what you do! Thank you.
Great video. Cornelius did a good performance.
I agree Zach, corn in chili ftw! 🤤
Thank you Jeff and Brian for a great video. Those rounds were pretty impressive, and the new ballistics head is awesome.
Wow, that was wild with high speed footage. So cool. Thanks
Thanks Jeff And Zach Great vid and thanks so much for the slugs Brian Awesome
thanks!
Thank you, Jeff, for another AMAZING VIDEO. After 8 plus years of watching your videos you still are the only one that i leave my notifications ON, THANK YOU AGAIN FRIEND..💪👊💥FYI Cornelius was epic!!
Fisheye is another one with potential to be commercialized. Great stuff. I like the gel heads with whatever you put in them. Keep 'em coming.
I was thinking the same thing, except I was thinking it would be cool basically the way it is except drill the center out and put a lead core in it for a little more weight.
Great fun. Love the videos! It’s always such a welcome bit of joy every time I get a notification for one of your videos. Oh and my suggestion for the next filler material for the head would be one of two things either chunky peanut butter or beef stew or both. Anyway, great fun guys and thank for providing a few minutes of real wholesome entertainment. I love watching these with my son. Oh and thanks Brian for the slugs
Always happy to see an upload
SHAVING CREAM CAN INSIDE THE GEL HEAD!
The head mold's awesome! Great work!
Really cool. I love these videos. Thank you guys.
thank you
Cornelius poppen aka "corn pop" was a bad dude. And he ran a bunch of corney boys (against their will), until he met taofledermaus and had his head blown through his corn chute....
That is good stuff
Use beets in the head mould calling it Beetlejuice
lol that is great!!
I've been busy with something and I was continuously thinking about not miss your video.
Danny would've loved these
Fantastic slugs, great marksmanship, amazing video! I loved Cornelius!!
thank you!!
Zach awesome shooting man. Jeff great video and camera work. Brian those slugs were incredible.
Thank you William!
Always a great day when when you post. Thank you, sir!
Cheers
thank you!!
Great video, as always. The half-cut of the shell was again much appreciated. And Cornelius spewing his canned good, especially in the second side approach, was a pleasant surprise. Great job all around from the slugs, to making the shells, to delivering them on target. Thanks!
thank you!
Very nice. Thanks for the video
Awesome slugs, by Brian, so accurate and no tumbling. Great shooting by Zach and the dad joked were appreciated. Thanks Jeff for putting it all together for our entertainment. All in all one of the best trouble free posts we've had.
thank you!!
Love the corn head. Great video. Thank you.
Thanks for watching!
My compliments on Cornelius! Well done!!
thank you!
Excellent video and fantastic slugs!!

Solid shooting Zack! The lemon shot was perfect.

Great slugs, great shooting, great targets, all around great video. It's a lot of fun when everything goes right.

Great video boys! Laughed with you a few times there 🤣
thank you!!
Really like this!!! Thank you so much for sharing this video...
Glad you enjoyed it!
OG is the reason I watch!
Excellent video, and Corn-neilius was such a great target.
Glad you enjoyed it Charles!
@11:20 - Folks, that is, by far, one of the coolest shots I have seen on a mach acceleration channel since the first days of FPS. Super nice. EDIT - @13:08 - you took it a whole leap farther. Dang!
thank you!!
That was a great video..I was amazed how accurate the slugs were considering the weight of them..the corn head was great n hilarious..I really enjoyed it it..thanks
Thank you Eugene!!
Damn good vid! Great shots!
thanks Mikey!
Well, thanks Brian, Zack, and Jeff. I was about to say I don't care what you put in those heads, just make more of them and then got happy you already did. Can't wait to watch and thank you again ☺️
They are easier and faster to cast than the gel blocks. I'm sure we'll use them a lot!
@@taofledermaus awesome
This was a great video. OG will give it a thumbs up!
thanks Paul
Now that was a good one, thank y'all!
thanks!!
These are really accurate! That head was very artistic, corny but artsy. Great video!
thanks!!
highly impressed with those rounds!
Thanks guys!
I really like the Gel Head Idea... Love your stuff.
Thanks so much Robert!
That was a fun one! Loved Cornelius.👍🏻
thanks!
Zach's got a steady hold. 👍👍👍
Thanks a lot, I had to be institutionalized after the slow motion footage of the Cornelius shots. People thought I was laughing too hard. There's just something about corn flying out of eyes and ears that makes me giggle.
Dang Feller can shoot can’t he! Love all your vidjas and this one certainly ranks among the top 5. Awesome job y’all.
epic last shots wow ty man u guys rule accurrate yet POWERFUL
thank you
Very cool!! Love the video
th anks!~~
The lemon target was outstanding! Hope to see that again soon.
Dude, these are incredibly consistent! Hand made by someone skilled is almost always better than anything mass produced
He does nice work. He spends a fortune to make them!
Great video Jeff. Those slugs were very good. 😊
thanks Jason
Crazy round. He did a good job making those rounds.
Nice shootin' Zach!
Man! Cornelius from Kern county was awesome! Great Job Brian, and Tau and Zach!
thanks Gordon!!
Great to see the cut away of the assembled round. You have used so many variations of seals and cups, etc - seeing it like this is very interesting. 👍
Thank you!!
Interesting round. As far as corn in the chili my older brother used to put corn in the chili he made for deer camp. Sadly we lost him to cancer in the early 2000's, but I got invited to join the deer camp several years later when I ran into the guys after losing contact with them when my brother passed. This past deer season I made chili for deer camp and out of tradition I put corn in it.
Brian made an awesome round with your expertise. Damnit Jeff i had an idea of a head gel mold. My son asked me when we were going to build it. Oh wow it's awesome and placing the can of corn and other stuff is EPIC. Please keep up the good work Jeff.
THANKS!!
Excellent video and great idea with the dummy head mold
Thanks 👍
Great video as always
Glad you enjoyed
great choice for new target jeff thats a keeper
thanks Michael!!
Excellent accuracy from that projectile! Great job on on the cornhead! ;D
thanks!
Dudes. That's sick a.f. I love it. Kudos to all y'all,
