- We test out Evan's latest design he calls the "Worminator". This is a 12ga. sabot round made from massive pieces of steel acme thread.

It's like Christmas when I get to lay in bed and watch an exotic shotgun slug lay waste to various miscellaneous targets
I had a Christmas themed tequila commercial right before this. Wtf
For real man
lol thanks
Especially with OG on the video
Your Christmas is very different to my Christmas
I know that rifling makes everything better, but the rifling on *THAT* slug is *EXTREME* !!!
The fact that the wound cavity was so expansive that a cork pad ended up in the gel says ALOT about the power of that slug!!
Always great to see OG on the channel. Not that your other guest shooters are boring, but Greg entertains in his own way and he's a great shot. Amazing piece of work by Evan Perry, and Jeff's loads should be given mad credit too. Thanks for the years of entertainment, guys!
So true!
@robertfrapples2472 pocket sand!
Yup.
Im quite impressed with how stable it was in flight. And unimaginable energy transfer (i wasnt expecting it to almost rip the block in half)
i was thinking the same thing, also saying to myself imagine if it was 200 F.P.S. faster it would of ripped it in half and would of been badas* too see on the slowmo cam
It's nice to see Greg and Jeff are helping to make the world better by spreading seeds and making whirled peas.
Yes,but the seeds of heaven are sown by the elect in Christ.
@@Reformed_Borzoi phifffft
@@Reformed_Borzoinah
Considering all the bands OG was in, and all the associated groupies, he's probably spread a lot of seed in his time.....
@@stephenwallace2423 Not to mention all the diseases.... 😁
Man, that 51-yd shot is a top ten shot of all time on this channel. Gregg's accuracy, the slug's perfect performance and shockwave, and that beautiful embedding in the plate. You could screw a nut onto that stud and it would be parallel to the plate.
Lol it looks like the plate was drilled and tapped for that thing
100% agree!
I’m impressed with that aluminum plate! I didn’t expect a steel projectile to stop that close to the surface or be deformed that much.
Especially a flat nosed slug
The mushroomed Worminator 2.0 stuck in the aluminum plate was fantastic! Also loved the still spinning bounceback after going thru the gel block. COOL!!
It looked like we threaded it into the plate lol
@@taofledermaus I think you just invented the screw rivet. File a groove in the back and you could probably screw it out (edit, or use vice grips), I bet it would leave a nice thread in the plate.
I wonder if we'll see a future round knock it out.... That was sweet
I'd love to see a cross-cut off that; they might have stumbled upon a miniature example of "explosion welding"
Evan's imagination + Jeff's powder loads + OG = UA-cam magic! Thanks for the video! Have a safe trip OG.
thank you Jim
This right here is so true! Greatest trio 😂
OG should come to Hull in England and the drinks will be on me 🍻
Greg’s politics leave me wanting, otherwise hear here!
OG always hits where he aims. The times he misses is when he is knocking a fly out of the air so he doesn't miss what he is aiming at. Those make a nice round honestly. Well done both of you.
thank you
I'm amazed at the stability of Evan's slugs. Not to take anything from the shooting, which was impressive. Great video guys. Keep 'em coming Evan!
thanks!@
Evan’s designs are impressive, I’m surprised a manufacturer hasn’t reached out by now
It’s literally just a piece of acme threaded rod
Can't wait to see another work of art from Evan Perry.
Dudes...that was an epic TFM video, for sure! We love 'em all out here, even when you think it didn't go particularly well of a day...they're all great fun to watch. Stay cool & hydrate!
thank you!!
@@taofledermaus Thank you, for producing such great content for us! Sometimes, I think you're too hard on yourselves for the way certain tests proceed...but, that's the way things make progress. Even science goobers will tell you that problematic results are just as valuable as the ones that go well...all are instructive and lead to the truth. Keep on truckin', guys, no matter what.
It's great to see Jeff and OG back together . The dynamic duo more please
greg never fails to make me chuckle. effortless one liners like that is a very rare ability, he should consider doing stand-up part time.
The stability of these slugs in flight is incredible. Evan hit it out of the park with this one.
I think it had something to do with the threads. It didn't affect spin but the threads may have created a favorable pressure gradient for stability.
@@tubingview3251some golfball like fluid science stuff
I'm betting a rounded nose is all it'll take to prevent the impact spalling. And the threading makes me wonder how manicured cheap rebar would do? Somebody's already tried that, I'm sure.
@@willcool713no, it takes more than a rounded nose, welcome to the channel though!
@@It-b-Blair Yeah, thanks. Supersonic characteristics are all about maintaining a pocket of air around the object that ultimately refines itself as the optimum flight shape for passing the bulk of the air. A flat front, perpendicular to trajectory is never optimum. A stepped or angular nose might be better, but the classic bottlenose shape fits most ballistic shapes, supersonic or not.
Jeff, O.G. great video as usual. No matter what happens, if projectiles don't work it's still a good video. 👍🏻🇺🇲
thanks!
Those slugs are pretty nice. I always feel like a kid watching these videos. Who cannot love shooting crazy things with a shotgun, using strange and exotic slugs? My first gun was a 22LR rifle. My second gun was a 12ga 870 my Dad got from a pawn shop. It was rough. We took it apart, refinished the wood. Someone left the thing in the rain or something stupid like that. The metal was fine. I used to shoot all manner of crap at the county dump with that gun. I even fished with it! I got up on low bluffs overlooking the river and would shoot gar when they came to the surface. Gar would always screw with my trot lines. I am 65 now and I still use that gun for dove and turkey hunting every year, and for varmint work around the chicken coop at night here on the ranch. These videos make all those memories flood back. Thanks guys. Very enjoyable for sure.
Those are awesome slugs, Mr Evan is a genius and I enjoy to see what he makes next
That worminator is a potential Scotsman killer !!! The ding and damage to the Ally plate was amazing. The first one just zipped through the body armour like it was paper....aye that would ruin yer day. Who's all looking forward to the OG World tour ?
Hopefully he lets people know where he'll be when he's over there
I'm speaking to UK Customs and they'll tag him upon arrival@@taofledermaus
Fingering targets around the world.😂🤣😂
Another great round from Evan - Plus Tau and OG's mastery on the range. Thanks Guys!!
thanks Gordon
Everything came together just right in this video. OG's aim and jokes, Jeff's powder load and Evan Perry's genius. Awesome!
What a treat of two lead plate shots. And second one delaminated lead plate, crazy!
thanks!
Along with Jeff and OG, Evan Perry is awesome. His slug creations just keep getting it done.
Perfect timing, just got beef stew in slow cooker to look forward to and a new Taofledermaus vidio.
Great Labor Day already.
Bro this guy is so creative. Thank you for your great content
thanks Isaac!
Y’all just had yourself a great episode congrats & thank you
I loved how OG was trying to wind the video down and Jeff just kept starting up again! Lol! Those two are hilarious together!
Some great shooting and footage, as always! 👍🇨🇦
Awesome round Evan, great loading Jeff and amazing shooting OG! Safe travels and if y'all ever make it down to Alabama, give us a shout!
Thanks
thanks Alex
The footage of that shockwave before hitting the aluminum plate was incredible!
I need to do more of that!
Another GREAT show!!!
Thanks!
Thanks guys!! Great work!! Have a safe trip OG!! Have a pint for us!!😎🍻
thanks
America: "We fought two wars against Great Britain because we didn't like being under an Imperial system!" Also, America; "We don't like the metric system because it's not American, like the Imperial system!"
Pretty accurate, I was wondering if you could unscrew the slug with a pipe wrench, maybe it cut it's way in, interesting to see the results
i love the second intro from OG, it always drives someone completely insane lol
that and me talking behind the camera for some reason
Evan does some fantastic work. I always expecy decent performance when I see one of his slugs being tested. Thanks for the vid guys another good one!
Another interesting, informative and hilarious episode. Watching you guys is like hanging out with old friends - but with less blood and trips to the hospital. Ah, good times...
thank you
Jeff cut his finger pretty good during this video. Will that work?
I have a good feeling about these doing their fair share of damage to the lead plate.
**The #2 bonus shot was impressive, never seen that type of damage done to the plate.
Always fun to watch, you guys make a great team!
Cause of officer Greg's outstanding shotgun shooting I'll give u a 9/10. It's hard 2 be accurate with unproven rounds. Thank u Evan 4 sending these gearoators, love u, guys. Enjoy the travels and I know u an misses officer Greg will ĥave à great time. Be safe officer Greg and family.
A new fast paced epic directed by the one and only legendary Jeff! Action shots start to finish!!
thanks!!
when Jeff and OG get together all is right with the world!😊 the videography was superb as always and the badinage between you is just delightful. thanks guys, i so look forward to many more!!! p.s. Evan is the terminator of the worminator 😅😅😅
Glad you enjoyed it!
These were some of your best test slugs. Keep up the awesome work/fun.
thank you Samuel
Og is back. Happy to see the dynamic duo. Give OG's danger show a follow
Thanks Dylan!
I loved that secondary shock wave. I still think it had to be the sound return coming back. I wonder if you could make a blank round with no projectile or a projectile that would still allow pressure in the bore to build that would almost instantly go subsonic out of the barrel and shoot that closer to the ground to see the sound wave separate of the shock wave from the projectile. There's some kind of fun science going on there.
The shock waves are so cool.
Nice show! Interesting and informative. Always fun to watch.
Thanks Jeff and Greg. This was a super enjoyable video. I was really happy for you both that the accuracy was so excellent. I did enjoy a double dose of the lead plate and then an aluminum one besides. Take care guys. Thanks again.
thank you Bill
I think it's crazy how the crater in the lead plate with the Worminator is actually deeper than the thickness of the lead plate. I think Doctor Who would be proud.
Gorgeous camera work as always. Incidentally, I'd love to see a timelapse video of melting and recasting the lead plate one of these days.
I think that you were seeing the shadow of the Shockwave. If it was the wave itself, it would pick up the dust more.
Wow. Great ballistics! Super informative. Thanks TFM
i really liked this video.
Projectile and, cartridge calcs/design, plus great shooting were great but you guys and your humor made my day. Thank you.
thank you for the kind comment
Wow, the Worminator is quite a large hunk of steel! Impressive slug, indeed. I hope O.G. is recovering well from his police career, and it’s good to know that he’s on the side of the “Good Guys” again, he’s one heck of a good shot! Great video men, as always. 👍
- Jason/Freedom Fighter Until Death/Vermont, FRA (‘FRA’, meaning “The Failed Republic Of America”)
I'm pretty sure O.G. has always been on the side of the "Good Guys" even if he happened to work for a completely corrupt governor.
thank you
You are quite welcome, Taofledermen!! I’ve been taking in your very unique videos for about 9 years now, since back in the “Danny” days. (I miss seeing him as the designated shooter.) I absolutely love shooting my pump shotguns, and I mainly train in defensive shooting. What a great channel, and looking forward to what’s next. Let OG know that I’ve subscribed to the Danger Show as well, great content. 👍

Another great episode from you guys love what you do much love and respect brother keep doing what you guys do. It was crazy the lead plate crack almost perfectly followed that sharpie circle makes ya wonder what the hell kind of ink their using these days lol. PS on the pink smoke congratulations it's a thing probably! (I wouldn't want to assume the gender or what not)
lol
Wow OG greg and Evan Perry creations?!, Now this feels like a Classic!..DANNY MUST BE WATCHING!!
Really, and this is definetly in no shape or form of a scam tactic right?? I hate to get robbed for all of my greenbacks and merritime rations!!!!
Great performance from both projectiles!! Excellent video as always. You guys are awesome!! Thank u
thanks kindly
Evan, you’ve done it again! Now I’m wondering if making them pointy would have let them fully penetrate the lead and aluminum plates…
Nice to see you again OG, and yes you are still OG even if you’re no longer an officer. Looking forward to video of you filleting the Loch Ness Monster after you catch it.
Jeff, either you’re getting better at estimating powder loads or just luckier. Either way that was damned fine. Especially appreciated the lead plate twofer. Ignore OG’s advice about giving it a vacation, okay?
The slug looks like drive screw used in industrial positioning stages.. I wouldn't think the steep screw pitch would act as rifling. But maybe you could get the inventor to talk on an episode to explain why this round worked so well.
I think they shot them out of a rifled barrel.
@@Boomchaclethey clearly state they're using a rifled barrel
Thanks guys. Great as always.
thank you Chris
There are two kinds of measuring systems. The one that put men on the Moon, and then there's the metric system for everyone else.
Definitely prefer OG as the shooter
Great video! Very successful rounds and good to see OG again.👍🏻
Glad you enjoyed it
Very impressive. Ty OG, Evan, and Jeff. 👊
thanks!!
Guess what?
Chicken butt
Somebody warn Scotland to put down a tarp.
My favorite part of the day is watching you guys destroy stuff with stuff you wouldn’t think to make a bullet from.❤
It's fun for us too
You guys are always a treat!
thank you Dave
For the algorithm
Absolutely awesome slug and an epic video Jeff and Gregg!
Really lovely (the pea can was absolutely impressive), lovely slow motion and precision shooting!
Thanks! We also have some old soup I'm looking forward to
I love your guys channel! you guys are awesome! keep up the great work!
Awesome video as usual👍👍 very cool to see the slow mo of how straight these were flying!
thanks!
YES! MOAR LEAD PLATE! Thanks guys, great video, loved it.
Haven’t watched your videos for awhile and I feel bad for it. You guys are top notch, as well as your content. Thank you!
thanks!@
Awesome! OG, Jeft and Evan nothing but the best of youtube!
thanks Frank
this shell breakdown is amazing, the physical cross section really explains the what, where, and why of the parts of a shell
In an apocalypse, I'm rolling with you guys! Awesome video! Thanks again for everything. I'm always amazed at the OGs accuracy you guys are the best . Anyway all the best from Northern California 👍
thanks
I also think part of the fun is that not every design works out. It'd almost be boring if they all did, I always try and guess how I think it will work and am often surprised how right or wrong I am. Even the little stuff like dialing in point or aim, it all satisfies that curiosity itch.
The shock wave shot was excellent. Thanks for sharing
UA-cam can't stop me from watching you guys. Many thank's from Denmark. ❤
thank you Martin
Thank You Jeff, Greg and of course Evan! That was great! Greg, I wasn't shocked you hit the pea's and the aluminum plate. Great!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great job. Love every video. Keep up the great job.
thanks for the nice words
FANTASTIC, thanks for the show.!.!.!
Glad you enjoyed it
Great video as always guys, have a good trip Greg!
thanks!
You and OG are magic together. Good slugs hitting or total failures, and everything between, his jokes and your good attitude its just so fun to watch. Ill always watch every video I see on this channel, and double check I'm subbed. I still am, YT knows what I watch and makes sure I still see these ❤ safe travels to OG across the pond! Watching from san diego fellow californian who appreciates the rapid acceleration testing 🎉
thanks
There are lots of shooters out there, but it's the combo of the TWO OF YOU that I find MOST ENJOYABLE to watch. So thank you for the video. 👍👍
Glad you enjoyed it
Great stuff guys! Evan sure put some doozies there for you. Of course, it's the skill of the Loader and eye of the marksman/person that makes the shot too, but as Eddy said, Wow, That's Somthin' Else! Nice one Evan! If you're in Scotland this week, you got the best weather we've had this year Gregg. Enjoy the travels Gregg, and thanks again Jeff(Geoff?) All the best! Cheers!
Ok Jeff I’m loving the addition of slug build you have been adding to your episodes. Great job guys. Thanks for all you do!!!
glad it didn't bore you lol!
Hah!!
Thanks guys! Enjoyed it
thank you
My first Taofledermuas comment. This was one amazing slug. Loved it!! Just like Christmas!
You're looking good OG, also , have safe travels mate. Another great projectile and video Jeff👍
thanks
Very cool slug and vidja. Way to go Evan. We are purdy dang good down here brother!
thanks
Great idea, great loading, and great shooting, all made a damn good video! Thanks fellas. 👍👍
thanks Rusty
great job Evan. Oh and Jeff too. OG well nice shooting.
Thanks 😊
Jeff,OG and Evan y'all rock! Love the channel and content. Peace
thanks Benjy
Jeff been subbed for a long time I believe at least 7 years. Gosh it sure seems like 7 years. You helped me personally pick out the correct size mold I needed. To cast my first bird shot to pellet slug mold. When everyone in the comments were just trying to confuse me. I’ll always check to make sure I’m subbed to your channel Sir. Seen a lot of stuff happen on your channel through out the years. I have also had to tell people to shut their mouths in the comments section. Because you had opinions about stuff that you honestly felt were correct and all you wanted to was help. A lot of my favorite channels that I have watched for quite some time. Are slowly disappearing they leave their content to be viewed but they don’t make anymore new stuff. And I don’t blame them because UA-cam has treated channels in this community like crap. It just sucks because even though I never met any of these content creators. I have liked and commented on all their videos for quite some time. Point I’m trying to make is I’m glad your still around still making great content. And you will ALWAYS have at least 1 person following your content and liking your videos. Because I am not going anywhere no matter how many times UA-cam unsubscribes me.
Crazy how much UA-cam has changed over the years. Sad that we can’t have a thriving gun community.
@@ryanburbridge yes Sir your definitely right about that
Nice to see OG back.
Nice accuracy !!!
I'll attribute it to tremendous loading expertise and a phenomenally cool shooter ! And also to Evan Perry for the innovative idea.
As always, entertaining and informative!
Glad to hear it!
Great shoot!!! You finally got the load right. It flew perfectly.!!!!!
thanks!
OG, nice to see you again ... been traveling? Another awesome video from the dynamic duo!
