Hey, its a great builder gel! I used full cover coffin tips, they are on amazon, but the ones I have are no longer available! But I know makartt sells them too 😁❤
Hello! I'm new to your channel and I'm enjoying your tutorials! I work in healthcare and have not been able to do anything with my nails since the pandemic began. I received the Gellen set for my birthday, and finally have the spare time to try it! Do you have any experience with poly gel and alcohol based sanitizers and harsh cleansing agents? We scrub our hands with harsh chemicals and immediately put on gloves. Just wondering how well these might hold up to the cleansers or if I shouldn't even bother. Obviously I can't wear long nails, but I'd like to try the poly gel on my short nails with glitter. These days I'm looking for something, anything, to make me feel a bit pretty on the outside after being completely covered by PPE for so long. Thank you for your tutorials and I look forward to seeing more.
Hey hun and welcome! So happy you found my video, unfortunately I'm not sure what the hold up on these nails would be with your kind of work but there is no harm in trying of course, just make sure to prep the nail well, don't get any product on your skin and don't make thek too thick, I think they should last as short nails 😊❤
Yours look amazing and I went ahead I bought 🤣🤣🤣 but I must have missed something Bc mine wouldn’t dry after curing it! Any help or tips ? Thank you so much for the video by the way
Thank you lovely! Hmm... thats very strange! What watt is your lamp? Is it a uv or led? Also, how old is your lamp? Sorry lots of questions, sometimes the bulbs need replacing, they still light up but don't have the curing ability anymore! Sounds stupid but that is a common mistake and not many people notice because the bulbs still turn on! As for watt, I always recommend 48w and above! Otherwise it takes longer to cure and some lamps can't cure all the way through, also uv and led are much different, led cures faster and uv takes sometime 🤔 let me know ❤
Thank you lovely! 😂 just blame it on me if the hubby asks questions 😏😂 I'll fully take the blame for you! So glad you enjoy the videos! Means a lot to me 🥰❤
I see someone has asked but I really want to be sure: I have this set but am afraid to use it as my nails were damaged once by a "nail tech" who filed too close to the nail plate. I will ONLY do the soak off method for gels with a bit of filing to remove the top coat. Will this ACTUALLY soak off? Most reviews on Amazon say "this is false advertising- this does not soak off." But, I'm wondering if they prepped as directed (Cleaning nail plate, using the soak off base etc)? To me, if you use a soak off base, it SHOULD soak off or at least come off without filing all the way down. I'm really nervous about this so your answer would really help (and others too I'm sure!).
Hey hun, im so sorry you experienced this 😔 and I hope you don't ever have to go through it again, as for these products, it does say its a soak off product, so i have reason to believe that is the case, gellen is a great brand! And if I didn't think so I'd be 100% truthful about that 😁 so as long as you file away the top coat, this should soak off without a problem but dont forget gel products take a little longer to soak off, so ofc if it's not soaking as fast as acrylic, it's just because it's gel and takes a little bit more time, you can ofc also file down the product to where your comfortable and then soak off the remainder of said product, I hope I helped in anyway I can 😁❤
hi!! your video saved my life, been eyeing the 4-pack for a while! is it a soft gel and can it be soaked off instead of filed off? 💕✨ And does it say how much wattage the lamp should be? I'm worried my mini won't be strong enough but I don't wanna buy a new lamp 😭
Its a soak off gel hun, but you can file it off too, I find filing down to a thin layer of gel and then soaking it off is faster 😁 it doesn't say what wattage but the curing time for this gel is only 20 seconds, it says on the tube :) and im so glad my video helped 😁❤
Hey! So would you say you prefer polygels to builder gels? I want to try buider gels soon because it just seems like regular polish to me. My polygels tend to be quite thick but therapeutic to do lol
Hey lovely, I prefer polygel to builder gel because it doesnt move until I move it myself with my brush, builder gel is like gel polish I suppose, but is much thicker and more sticky, so it sticks to your brush when you move it around, you have to use a back and forth and circular motion to apply it to the nail, but it's really easy once you get the hang of it! I would suggest trying gellen builder gel! I have used builder gel twice now and gellen was amazing for me, as a beginner! Hope this helps! 🥰❤
Your the only one I found to use the same one do u find cuz id put it on and I was seeing this to see if yours lifted mine would have the sticky stuff that sets on-top after u cure it but it would also go under the gel so it would form on my nail so the colour would just pop off
Hey hun, oh really? The sticky layer should only be on the top of your nails, not underneath, gel rises when cured so the gel underneath should be completely solid, by the sounds of it, the gel might have needed longer time in the lamp, some gels are like this because they are so opaque in colour ❤
Okay that's what I was thinking also I did leave it under that light longer but was still forming between I did order a new lamp so I'm hoping it will work I ended up just using poly gel 🤦♀️😂❤️ thank you
Hopefully your new lamp will be able to cure it hun! Let me know ❤ im not one for acrylic myself, im mainly polygel 😁 but I know femi beauty does a lot of acrylic videos! Id highly recommend checking out her acrylic playlists, she will know which monomer is the best ❤ sorry I couldnt be much help, i hate the smell of monomer and it gives me headaches 🥴 so I tend to stay clear of it ❤
Hey hun, I have been using the same equipment for months now and its never let me down, same lamp, same primer and dehydrator, its not unusual for gel to create a burning feeling on your nails, its not a bad thing, it just means that you have thinner nail beds, try using the lower setting on your lamp to cure your nails until you dont feel that heat spike and you should be good to go, always use a base coat when it comes to gel products, helps with adhesion 😁🥰
Are those half tips or full tips? Also, do these get as hard as the file off polygel once cured? Every area seem so "very" thin. How long do these last in comparison to the file off polygels? When I use the file off polygels they last me for a month. It seems like the soak off gel is more convenient
Hey hun, these tips were full cover tips, hard gel/builder gel files as easy as polygel in my opinion, hard gel lasts anywhere from 2-4 weeks, depending from person to person as some are more heavy handed then others, I love polygel but hard gel seems to be much stronger, that being said though, polygel is still very strong though and also can last 2-4 weeks! Hope this helps 😊❤
Most gels are soak off like acrylic, if you read the box or the tube itself, it says soak off gel if you can remove with acetone, if it doesnt, usually you have to file it off 😊❤
hi!! did the builder gel stay on? did it lift or chip at all? i’ve just come across it on amazon and the reviews were very mixed and then i found this video 😍 how did you find them?xxx
I love this builder gel! Its honestly one of my favourites! No lifting or chipping! As long as you prep correctly and dont touch the skin! They will last up to 3 or 4 weeks! 🥰😍❤

Do you still recommend the nail lamp to cure builder gel/ hybrid gels? Also does it heat up too much?
Also you’ve listed a primer and dehydrator, do you still need to use that before the gel base coat?
