A MASSIVE THANK YOU to @reevesfamilyadventures & @nathanstaker for helping us with this video - please don’t forget to go check out their channels for great Disney vlogs! Also anyone thinking of checking out renting DVC point please keep in mind that these are part of a timeshare which means travel insurance may not cover it in the event of a cancellation as standard
(Experienced DVC renter here ) The DVC price is slightly misleading. As Value studios can book out at the 11th month window. So trying to get 2 weeks would be near on impossible unfortunately. There are huge savings to be made renting DVC. But can be difficult to get long stays or cheapest points room. Flexibility is key Split stays are amazing using DVC rentals. Happy to help out with rental questions if needs be. Other than that great video.
This is very valid! I’ll be honest I didn’t see he selected the value room during the edit otherwise I would have mentioned this. Thank you for highlighting as these rooms are near on impossible to get hold of for even a short period of time. Old key west was a couple of hundred more which is more realistic
@@TheKershawsAdventures OWK and Saratoga standards will be best bet to keep prices down and more likely to be able to pick up longer stays. AKL,Boardwalk book out instantly due to low points and commonly used by some owners to sell confirmed reservations.
Would like to echo the comments already made; this is a really great, informative and entertaining video. Thought I knew everything there is to know about booking, but renting DVC points is a great option.
Fab video ❤️ loved seeing the tips and tricks and brilliant job editing it together! I'd love to see one for off site/villa with car hire! Maybe even a live challenge for subscribers to take part in, though imagine that could be a logistical nightmare 😂
Absolutely loved this video! So well put together and interesting to see how people do it. We have rented with David's and have had great experiences. The only thing with AKL is those value rooms are like gold dust and probably wouldn't be available for a full 2 weeks, you'd have to be very lucky and right on it at 11 months out. Old key west and saratoga though... Great resorts for moderate prices with good availability. Well worth a look. You've made me want to start looking again! 😂
Such a good point that I didn’t notice whilst editing this video! I didn’t notice it was the value room and we know they are so difficult to get hold of. He did price up old key west but I cut it out as it didn’t beat this price 🫣 old key west and Saratoga are great options with a lot of availability. Anj is on the booking sites pretty much every day 😂😂😂
This was a great helpful vid, some amazing tips which I’ve not thought off and made to see the price differences. Great editing too as that could not have been an easy one. Looked slick and very professional. Defo be using some of these tips - Thanks
Wow guys, what a fantastic video! It was great to have a realistic view on the dates because of the school holidays and love how it was broken down and so fun! 👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻 Best Disney vlog I've seen. Short, snappy and fun...loved it! 🏰
Mint vlog! Might wanna help me by doing a vlog on Virgin points. We’ve got loads. You might be a good place to help us start using them. Happy holidays!
Absolutely loved this 🎉❤ such a fun, excellently edited video with some excellent financial tips! Just want to mention that people should also always check the t&cs... eg when i previously booked through a 3rd party instead of direct with the flight co. Moving/cancelling was not as easy... also sometimes when renting dvc points, the cancellation terms may not be as favourable as booking direct... not saying don't do it, just be careful and read the fine print!! Flying further out than mco may also incur additional xfer costs etc. Thanks and pls more vids like this!! 👏👏👏👏
Great points Amrit. We also want to point out that as DVC is a timeshare it isn’t usually covered in travel insurance too. Something we forgot to include
@TheKershawsAdventures aww u couldn't cover everything! Your video was awesome, i was just mentioning situations that i had faced recently... Hope ur having a fab holiday 😊
This was fantastic and so fun! I have been to DisneyWorld a few times as a kid and used to work at Epcot but thought with current prices I might never get back there any time soon - but this has given me hope and I feel really inspired! Thank you for the tips everyone 😊
Are you guys going to Orlando this year I’m going in Easter and the cheapest way to do it was Heathrow to tampa with virgin but on the way back we have to stop in New York for 5hours
I agree i'd go with Nathans package over Anj's for the reasons you stated, much nicer hotel, however, i'd also choose his as I dont think those Norse flights Anj chose would have included baggage (or at least it wasn't shown in the video) as I know Norse only show prices for the basic flight and you have to add each bag individually which would've bumped that package up quite a bit more. Great video though, very informative, especially regarding the DVC rental aspect.

100% I didnt notice it was a value studio at the time of editing otherwise i would have mentioned it. I know Old Key West was there for a slightly higher price but a more realistic option
Fantastic tips, and it would be interesting to price up the cheapest parts across the teams for an overall cheapest total found. Also, using your browser in incognito mode when searching for flights, stops the sites bumping up the prices they show you, if you're repeating searches to keep an eye on price changes!
Great production quality what are you using for all the graphics? We have been taking the kids since 2004 and they are still coming and I’m still paying. Next year though will be just me and the wife, flights with Amex points, no parks (given up on them, the Genie+ and other costs and no investment means we are not going back) and I will use the DVC for Vero and Hilton Head and maybe resort stays at WDW. That will be a fairly cheap holiday. Been to Florida 32 times, WDW at least 20 I’d guess. No more parks for us. Epic Universe I fancy though.
Thanks so much , yes it seemed a great time to buy resale DVC , have stayed many times at Jambo House , so looking forward to our first DVC stay in September. Xxx
A great one we would love to see you do would be about dining reservations can’t believe how many people still don’t realise you have to do them for lots of the Disney restaurants before your trip
Wow, what a great vlog! Nice one thank you very useful. You should set up a service to book this for people. Wish I'd seen this before. I just did a package through a travel agent. While I'm happy with what I'm paying I feel you could have saved me thousands more. Is Ange available to book my trip next year?? :-)
Hi I’ve been 58 times to was since 1996 we go min 3 times a year I’ve had a couple of Disney holidays for free in that time. And i love the fact that someone’s trying to show other you can play the system and get it cheaper
Finding ways to travel hack is the best! Glad it’s worked for you so well! Helping people travel for less shouldn’t be a secret especially with how expensive everything is these days
@@TheKershawsAdventures couldn’t agree more I think the best one we ever exploited was remember when Tesco club card £ were worth £4 virgin pounds? We used to go weekly and buy what ever gave us double and treble points. And that’s how we got a holiday or a family of 5 for nothing
Great video and tbh it’s one of the best you have done. Loved the format and the info will genuinely help people. Just need another video now on how to become a utuber so then we can all have our own channel and then earn money from it to go multiple times a year.
Thanks Peter! As soon as I figure out how this UA-cam can make enough money to pay for trips I’ll make that video 😂 unfortunately for now I’m not quite sure how to do it 😂😂 it might get us a quick counter or two though!!
Hi, I realize I’m not your usual demographic as a 76 year old American grandmother lol. I’m loving your Asian park coverage, and as an extreme bargain hunter I thought this competition was absolutely brilliant. Obviously as an American my bargain choices are very different but I wondered if you’ve ever explored the swan and dolphin independent marriot hotels in the Epcot area? They are usually equivalent in price, or even cheaper, than the moderate hotels. They’ve been grandfathered into the deluxe hotel perks like extended evenings. I’ m kind of (except for the heat) looking forward to July and august very short trips to use spirit points that are expiring in September that will cost me $5.60 on each Philadelphia/orlando flight, I’m only carrying a “personal item” sized backpack and letting them pick my seat. Love seeing how you guys handle these long trans Atlantic trips. Thanks!
Thank you for watching! We’d love to stay at swan and dolphin but unfortunately for us they always work out so much more expensive than others. Even travelling on points from the UK isn’t as cheap with the taxes we pay, usually costs the three of us about £800 ($1000ish) just in tax!
@@TheKershawsAdventures wow you guys really get hit so much for your us adventures! I can’t believe Disney has not worked out a non North America strategy for this new lightning lane integration starting July 24! Even though I can at least, use the system on July 24 for my July 31 visit, I’m dreading the computer overload on that first day. My dolphin stay on July 30 and 31st was equivalent ro all stars cost except for $35 “resort fee”. I thought that was ok for two night stay given the increased perks at dolphin. The price varies dramatically day by day there based on conventions and probably never a good choice for an extended stay like yours are!

Great video! Lots of tips there that we’ll definitely use! Did using the VPN make any difference? I’ve always wondered whether to use a VPN when booking trips xx
Great video, were going as a family of 5 in August 2024 (2 adults 3 kids). Going with Virgin Holidays were going for 16 days from the 22nd August this includes staying at the Marriott Springhill Suites plus Disney park tickets for 14 days and Universal Tickets for 14 days grand total cost £8,900.00. My wife is amazing at getting the best deals around to be honest 🌅🌅
Thanks for the tips. I'm a newly qualified teacher on low pay but stuck with school holiday 😢 I'm going to try your tips. I want to surprise my daughter for her graduation. X
I'd be interested to know when this was filmed as we all know flight prices especially can change over time, i've just tried to do a similar exercise and flight prices for me were coming out FAR cheaper than those found on the video. Bizarre.
Great video, I have just bought resale DVC at Animal Kingdom Lodge . I was wondering if I buy an annual pass , will I still need to reserve my park days . Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Love all your videos xxxx
Yay! Welcome home!! 😄 Yes you will still need to book your park days with an ap at the moment. If you have a DVC or on property hotel cash stay it will allow you to book your whole length of stay ☺️
Great video! Will definitely do this next time rather than the usual TUI option! Stupid question but how secure is David’s DVC rental? Is it completely legit?
Thank you! We haven’t personally rented points from either David’s or DVC Rental store but know lots of people that have and have been very happy with using them. We will just say though that not all standard travel insurance covers timeshare so please do make sure you get insurance that will cover it 😊
Brilliant video! would love more of these type. Can i ask, would a value resort come in alot cheaper? Looking for family of 5 (2 adults 3 ch)- one over 10yrs.
Hi Heather, yes a value resort generally comes in quite a bit cheaper however I’m not sure if they can fit 5 in the room apart from the suites at art of animation as they have the extra bed in them. I know that some of the DVC rooms have the extra bed in their studios too.
I’ll be honest, we’ve never done a single day ticket so I’m not 100% on that one! I’d double check to make sure it won’t cost more to do that than the UK 14 day ticket though as I know they’re the best option for value per day.
Let me share a tip with you all that I have used over the last 10 years with Virgin Atlantic. I have always booked with Virgin Holidays since 1994. I always book economy but check every few weeks on upgrading to premium economy. I originally booked our May 24 trip economy as they wanted over £1500 return. 8 weeks after I booked the trip I upgraded return for £80. Yes £80. No points. Trust me it works not always this low but give it a go.
Exactly what we have done this latest trip. We picked moderate to give a middle ground for everyone. We will probably explore a cheaper option video soon 😄
We haven't booked a package since 2013 and would never go back, DIY all the way. N.B. be aware that cash back can take quite some time to payout, we're still waiting for disneyholidays to pay out for August 2023 bookings. Also VA anyday, had the worst experience with BA and will never fly with them again.
@@TheKershawsAdventures we used Quidco for the cash back as they had a better rate, however I have seen some decent promo rates of points per £ with virgin shops away. So example my cash back for a £3k 2 week Disney booking was £80 but at a rate of 4 points per £ on shops away I'd have gotten 12k of points worth £195 - based on the usual VA rate of £15 per 1k of points + £15 Transaction Fee. Hopefully that makes sense.... it's Disney economics ;)
@@TheKershawsAdventures Does that factor in the cost though, its quite an integral part of the trip. I've been many times and have always stayed on I-Drive solely for the cheapness and free shuttles.
There are for sure more ways to save money including the ones you mention (although they’re saying a Tuesday or Thursday is the cheapest for 2024), not flying direct, staying off site etc but the purpose of this video was for those that are stuck having to travel within school holidays that want to stay on site with tickets 😊
Love this style of video. The savings were amazing. Of course another option is to dump the kids on the grandparents and go without them😂 (I'm joking!!! 😂) Having spent 2 weeks at a value resort, I wouldn't rule that out as another way to save. Anyway, have a fantastic trip 😁
😂😂😂 Simon and Lisa also face that tip in their time limit but I cut it out 🤣 - 100% a value is a great choice if you want to cut the price even more! It would be interesting to do something similar without the restrictions I put in place (any time of year and any accommodation) but 60 minutes wouldn’t be long enough for that 😂

We will just say though that not all standard travel insurance covers timeshare so please do make sure you get insurance that will cover it 😊
@@TheKershawsAdventures Amazing! Thanks for the advice! ☺️☺️
No problem 😊
Brilliant video! would love more of these type. Can i ask, would a value resort come in alot cheaper? Looking for family of 5 (2 adults 3 ch)- one over 10yrs.
Also the best off site hotel but within walking to say Disney springs to use Disney transport
Hi Heather, yes a value resort generally comes in quite a bit cheaper however I’m not sure if they can fit 5 in the room apart from the suites at art of animation as they have the extra bed in them. I know that some of the DVC rooms have the extra bed in their studios too.
What would be your suggestion for 2 single day park tickets ? Disney-world and animal kingdom ? Buy in the UK or get a VPN and buy stateside ?
Great advice to keep checking back! Also bidding for upgrades is another option to explore
Id go value resort, not that fussed about the facilities in a hotel, as youll be at a Disney park during the day XD
Thanks for sharing your casino experience! That is a long time. Who did you use for the cash back?
@@TheKershawsAdventures we used Quidco for the cash back as they had a better rate, however I have seen some decent promo rates of points per £ with virgin shops away. So example my cash back for a £3k 2 week Disney booking was £80 but at a rate of 4 points per £ on shops away I'd have gotten 12k of points worth £195 - based on the usual VA rate of £15 per 1k of points + £15 Transaction Fee.
Hopefully that makes sense.... it's Disney economics ;)
What about transfer from the airport?
It depends on the airport and if you want to do a hire car or not. Mears connect/sunshine flyer is a great option or Uber
@@TheKershawsAdventures Does that factor in the cost though, its quite an integral part of the trip. I've been many times and have always stayed on I-Drive solely for the cheapness and free shuttles.
Great Vlog!!
Thank you ☺️
If you go when there are no school holidays and fly on a Monday and avoid virgin Atlantic prices you can save a lot of money
There are for sure more ways to save money including the ones you mention (although they’re saying a Tuesday or Thursday is the cheapest for 2024), not flying direct, staying off site etc but the purpose of this video was for those that are stuck having to travel within school holidays that want to stay on site with tickets 😊
Absolutely loved this! One for off site (but recommended) hotels would be great too please for us much poorer minions :-D :-D
😂 thanks Erika! Will look to do a cheaper stay version at some point 😁
Brilliant guys ❤
Thank you!!!
Superbly made video 👍👍
Thanks you ☺️
Love TopCashback!
It’s great for saving the pennies 😄
Good video 👏
Thanks 😁
Fab vlog 😃
Thank you 😊
This is fab!!!
Thank you!
Love this style of video. The savings were amazing. Of course another option is to dump the kids on the grandparents and go without them😂 (I'm joking!!! 😂)
Having spent 2 weeks at a value resort, I wouldn't rule that out as another way to save.
Anyway, have a fantastic trip 😁
😂😂😂 Simon and Lisa also face that tip in their time limit but I cut it out 🤣 - 100% a value is a great choice if you want to cut the price even more! It would be interesting to do something similar without the restrictions I put in place (any time of year and any accommodation) but 60 minutes wouldn’t be long enough for that 😂
Please do this again for 2025 -26. Prices seem to have shot up
We will do! I think you’re probably a little early for next summer, prices aren’t always cheapest for international flights when they first release
