Capitol Hill is known for many different political aspects but throughout history many important civil events have also taken place right outside Capitol hill, like Islam on Capitol Hill, a day of prayer for American Muslims where thousands of them from across the United States gathered outside Capitol hill to perform their Friday prayers. According to the organizers Islam on Capitol hill was a simple way for American Muslims to demonstrate the diversity of this nation as well as to show solidarity, love and respect for their country, the United States of America.
