90k on average for starting salaries sounds unreal. LA's starting salaries are about 75k for new grads. Don't think many other areas pay new grads any better.
UK Works slightly differently. Structural Engineering is its own specialism - so Civil Engineers don't touch building design. Geotech, Transportation, Environment, Hydrology is the domain of Geologists/Hydrogeologists/Transport Planners, etc keep out! So in the UK, civils design then essentially boils down to utilities design.
I’m thinking of studying for civil engineering but I’m not too great at math (I am willing to study though) and I wanna do something environmental to help protect the environment but I’m not sure I can get jobs with that. Any advice? Would be greatly appreciated
Hello sir, I had a question. That is, does the red-green color-blind have any effect on the civil engineering career, for example, to get a job or in other fields?
don't worry, i'm in first year civil eng. Yes its hard and different to college/high scl but lots of practice and it just clicks perfectly, also alot more independent work :) Which one do you want to do?
So you don’t actually build stuff, All my teenage life I have been thinking that civil engineers to the actual building as well like carrying the heavy material, and sitting in tractors 🚜 like vehicles and pulleys and actually do the building. So You just have to design and come up with solutions to problems. I thought I wasn’t good enough for civil engineer as I am not fit enough to build these massive structures.
@@padilla1122 makes sense, Now I feel so stupid for thinking that Civil engineers actually build stuff as well, like carrying heavy materials and driving pulleys etc. I am so dumb

Wanting an engineer to not be "strong with math" is like asking a firefigther to not workout.
If you're not cut out to do the math for Civil, I highly recommend Construction Management

You basically design it and oversee the construction crew implementing it
