Those Goldhog mats can take a lot more water flow than you might think! Most important is tuning your equipment to the type of material you're running!
That miners moss material is actually a material for they put in gutters to keep larger debri out. Can be found at lowes or home depot. I keep looking at it and it does look and feel like itd keep alot gold in place
Nice setup.......and you can drive to it! Is the corner of your dampening flap bent or out of square causing the mat to wash out? Next time try a shovel full with the flap up. One thing I don't like about goldhog mats is the way gold can push left or right and get between the mat and box wall. The tape works but I feel its a a crappy "solution" at the end of a well engineered product. I feel the mat should have a permanent lip at the sides of it to stop gold from getting between and under the mat and box.. I've looked at the exposed tape with a magnifying glass and there's gold stuck to it and i don't want it to be. Also if the mat is too tight the mat will bow up and cause that spot to wash out. Good luck and take care
As I've been running hog mats for years it seems you ned to tune it more. The mats should not hold that much material. It looks like you need more water. If you can set it up so you have two pitches make the first 10-11ish then the end about 7-8. But it depends a bit on what mats you have and material as well so keep tweaking it.
Great informative show of the Goldfox Trommel!
That is an awesome setup
Super stuff... but I would call those beer holders😂
