I use fake grass for my matting too but I find that no matter how much shaking and kneading I give it I still have to give it several belts with the hose at a bit of pressure to clean it right out. I call it the gift that keeps giving.
There is something really special that happens in a sluice box that is made properly. That rubber mats do not do at all, if something works great and efficient it shows in your cleanout. And yes i picked up that coke bottle someone threw on the ground.
i grew up farming mangos, rambutans and bananas this is easy work to me. Its not about fun to me its my therapy as i was diagnosed with severe suicidal depression at the age of 27.

if u let it dry out put a tray down and belt the back side with a broom stick u release the bank hehehe. Its great stuff i love it.
