It's happened to me in Madden. Back when they did the Superstar mode, my guy got drafted by the Titans and they wore their throwback Oilers road jerseys against the Texans. At home. Two years in a row.
As a Raider fan I wish that they would occasionally use the black helmets, black jerseys with the striped sleeves. But I’d guess that the Davis family doesn’t identify anytime for the Raiders before 1963. Not something that is Uber-vital, just would like to see it occasionally happen.
@@syndrac6254 I can't remember which company did this, but the green gridiron channel showed skins that could be attached to helmets over its current paint and decorations, but I never heard anything after that. It would have been perfect for NFL throwback helmets.

The red helmets were horrible. The bison was also a quarter of an inch bigger. Red was quarterback Joe Ferguson's idea. All the division rivals had white helmets. He thought you could differentiate players better, I guess. It didn't seem to matter to Dolphins.

Very good list! Makes me feel really cool to be a Chiefs fan and have an iconic uniform like several other teams that have uniforms that only make subtle changes that go unnoticed and work for every generation. Cool vid
Sea Hags... get rid of that neon green. 🤮 Miami Dull Fins... bring back the 1972 uniforms. Everyone... unless you’re the Steelers or Raiders stop using black uniforms.
The NFL single helmet rule instituted in 2013 has ruined these throwbacks however hear they are lifting that for 2021! Hope so because all of those beauties need be worn. Some others I love see, my Detroit Lions wear the Barry Sanders era uniforms from 1983-2002. Atlanta Falcons red helmet, jersey from 1980s Gritz Blitz. New York Jets the 1968 Joe Namath Super Bowl III uniform. Buffalo Bills Jim Kelly 4 Super Bowls red helmet era (1987-2001). San Diego Chargers 1994 AFC Championship era uniforms (1988-2006).
Bengals fans deserve more throwback games. Mike Brown agreed to just ONE game (in 1994 I think), and that game was BLACKED OUT. I don't know why Cincy doesn't go back to their 1980s stripes. Those were the only unis to ever win a playoff game (5) for the franchise.
Unpopular opinion: I always preferred the Patriots‘ 1993-99 home jerseys to Pat Patriot and The Chargers’ darker home unis worn from 1988-2006 to the Powder Blues. 🤷🏻♂️
How about the 49ers 75 year NFL anniversary unis, the Deion Sanders Ones, The Arizona Cardinals Blue Alternate Phoenix Cardinals Unis and The San Diego Chargers 1980s Royal Blues and 1990s Navy Blues. Also The Boomer Esaison Cincinnati Bengals Unis and The 1960s Cleveland Browns Unis.
Vikings current uniform looks a little fairyish. 70s originals would be awesome. Seahawks. Nope. Don't like em. Screw "fashionable". Less is more. Tougher too. Keep changing a uniform it becomes a costume instead of a uniform. Kelly Greens are coming back to the Eagles. That's a done deal. And good riddance to that garbage green or midnight green whatever the hell they called it. White pants, not silver. Green and white pops all game long. As a kid, I loved the white helmets with the green eagle years. And I'm a Giants fan.
Also the Ravens had change their original logo (1996-1998) for copy right infringement, if they could work something out that would be great, or at a minimum at least wear the original jersey and pants? And I still want see the Rams (1973-1999) and 49ers (1964-1995) wear their throwback looks even though their current uniforms are modernized versions of that look, well the Rams home blue jersey is, the road bone color jersey is awful.
As a lifelong Pats fan and New Englander, I will say this, NO TO THE RED! We were terrible wearing red, with only a handful of decent seasons in them. I, for one, believe it's karma. Why would you call your team the New England Patriots, and have them wear red coats (shirts)? The original New England Patriots, or at least the Continental Army under Washington, wore a primarily blue uniform. If you want to know what it looks like, look at Pat Patriot on the old helmet. He's wearing a blue coat! Since we switched to blue as the primary color, we've gone to 10 super bowls (including 96), winning 6. The new uniform is essentially a reverse version of the old uni, swapping the red for blue. I like it. If we decide to go further retro, I don't mind getting rid of Flying Elvis to bring back the white helmet with Pat Patriot. As long as the uniform is blue! My 5 cents.
i love the "orange crush" broncos uniform and ESPECIALLY logo from that era. i myself am a Bills fan. I think our unis are the best they ever been atm. But it would be nice to see them bring back that kelly-era brighter blue/red helmet/white pants offset? (random comment just for fellows bills fans: dont want em back but i *didnt* hate the all navy with red offsets (pre helmet change) era jerseys ----- hated the QBs we had then LOL but jerseys? i always kinda liked... ) also i feel the better Cowboys throwback is the 90s navy/silver one with the star on the shoulder (one that was in The Little Giants movie) as well. The Oilers was always my top throwback along with the Falcons red helmet/black jersey and as a sleeper one, i kinda like the original run Bengal ones when they donned the stripes finally. Also the yellow helmet steelers one is *chefs kiss* as well.
Houston and Tennessee need to have a couple years in which both teams decide to wear their Oiler throwback jerseys. The ultimate Fan-service would be if both teams agree to wear them for one or both Division matchups with the proper Home and Away attire. Now if only NFL would get rid of their stupid helmet rule restrictions and we could have this happen. Minnesota 90's throwbacks. Yes, that is one of my favorite eras in the entire team history. I don't like the jerseys much from the mid 2000s and beyond eras. Trying to change too much on the overall look of the jersey. Hit and miss at times. Simple was better. Also, not much into the current PrimeTime alternate. I liked the throwbacks from the 60's and 70's era as well. Tampa Bay Creamsicle... No, just why?! The NFL and it's stupid helmet rule ruined it's comeback... Thankfully. Yet, it crushed others I liked returning. Which I liked seeing on this list.
I was gonna say the Raiders throwback uniform, but never mind we got them back in 2016, but we just change the white pants to the sliver pants with the black stripe, but me personally I think the Raiders should try to bring back their throwback logo from 2009 along with the Away Uniform but with the Color Rush Jersey instead and wear it 2x each season! One for a primetime game in LV & the other when we play in LA
