I had my most successful days trout fishing using a gamarus. Fished degreased a few inches beneath the surface, it can be deadly on days where the more traditional patterns fail. Beautifully tied sir, a dying art. So much more satisfying catching on a fly or nymph that you have made.

Fly fishing is the finest form of all fishing and anyone can learn easily. Chub love a fly as do dace and big rudd. I'd definitely advise starting.

Out of all my hobbies as a youth, [compared to models painting and decophage] Flie tying was my very favorite, as where trout. I had thousand of streams and rivers around me. And to make and catch fish on your design was amazing. But I quit when I started doing it for money, I was too young. Could not keep up with work load.

I've been using Tungsten instead of lead because I always bite my line off when fishing.

Hello. please tell me what is the name of the resin which you covered the hamarus with? Is it activated by ultraviolet light?
It is UV Resin, Cured by UV Light :))

Even though I consider wrapping away from you as monstrous as someone who puts the toilet paper in the over position, I still say this is a great pattern, and tied very nicely.🙂
Wrapping away is the same way that you wind in a reel. Feels so much better

Just getting into fly tying...is there any reason you can't use a thin mono fishing line in place of the stretch tubing?
