Wow! The quiet passage demonstrates how he makes every note count.So subtle! IMO, that is what makes Joe B different from 99% of the other high-end guitarists.
Graham Nelson: A lot of what he's playing is note for note from Beck's 'Truth' album. He's not making every note count 'like he's thinking it up as it's happening'! He;s making every note count because that's how Beck did it! Hear the original. And I don't mean Buddy Guy's version!
I agree, you dont see that nowadays. Everyone is playing all the way up on 10 with their Jackson guitars plugged thru a boss metalzone in a line 6 spider.

He's playing it note for note from Beck's version. He could probably cover the entire album, note for note. What does that tell you about Jeff Beck!
Dude i can play most of Beck's songs note for note too, anyone can cover anyone pretty much with practice. It's coming up with those amazing riffs that makes someone special. Anyone can cover a masterpiece AFTER it's already been done.

Then don't get to see one of the best blues performers alive today live. As long as you don't go in the first 5-6ish rows his prices aren't any worse then any other good bands.
I would pay any amount, and I did, for mid orchestra seats!

I was at this concert. Two things to say, firstly you can only see the central block of the audience, there was a whole side of the arena where people were standing, by choice, and many were dancing. Secondly, when you are in the presence of genius, you just want to listen .
