8 out of 10 actually since Freikugel is almighty physical damage. The main reasons strength is better though are, focus being an equivalent to charge and there being no mind charge/concentrate equivalent, physical damage scaling with level while magic damage falls off at around level 50 except for magma axis I think, Peirce exists late game and only works for physical damage, pretty low max mp in general with high mp costs for spells, and several other reasons.

Though we see in the many possible endings of Nocturne that none of the endings really showed Lucifer killing Naoki. The most depressing one is just him being stranded in the vast deserts of the vortex world that has become dead. The second bit of coincidental 'evidence' is from Naoki's friends in the game. Why did Kagitsuchi claim that Naoki had no ambition or will? Why his two friends and the other guy (forgot his name) were able to obtain both reasons and the surge of power that literally turned them into fiends or demi-fiends. Especially look at the horrific transformation from the two friends while they were still more or less humanoid, they looked like monsters. The third bit, now I'm going on a limb here. It is how the other Fiends, like Matador, Daishou, the Riders, etc, were given their own Candelabrum and told to fight each other in a battle royal to become the next demon born or something like it. Yet, we see none of these fiends fighting each other and instead focus purely on Naoki whenever he is within their range. In fact, for some of them; Naoki had to go out of his way to seek them out. Also why did the Riders claim it as a test while Matador and Lady Harlot see it as a means to gain more power? Plus they all made it clear that to fail this test, equals death. Though Daishoujo and Hell Rider definitely just wanted you dead for their own reasons. Trumpeter's intro dialogue before his battle definitely made it seem like you were among many to be tested, but only you made it this far. The last bit of coincidental evidence, is from the very beginning. When Lucifer made Naoki into the demi-fiend; the moment he implanted the magatushi into his head. Yes, from my view and thoughts, Naoki is not the first person of the 'multiverse' that Lucifer implanted that weird larva thing into. The 'kid' literally looked like he had practiced this before and most likely not many survived the initial implant. Granted the only other reason I'm stretching for this is because of where we start in. A hospital. A surgery room. Look at the other rooms and you see remains and chunky bits about. I am suspicious that those parts were to hint a possible 'other' attempts of Demi-Fiends but the larvae and the host did not mesh well and resulted in a messy death. Though these are just wild theories in my head that I've been playing around with since the trailer of SMTV and our unknown being in the beam of light.

@@Thentavius yeah, I’ve had Tornado for a while (I’m running a mixed build that I eventually intend to max most stats on). My final skill set plan is Freikugel, Gaea Rage, Tornado, Magma Axis, Focus, Pierce, Endure, and either a debuff (likely Debilitate), Mana Drain, Mediarahan, or Megidolaon.
I really wish this game had more to offer for magic builds. The fact that magic has no Focus equivalent really hurts it, and most of Demi-Fiend's unique skills are physical. More skills like Magma Axis and a way to power up magic attacks would have gone a long way. I went for a magic build my first playthrough, and it just feels like I missed out. Just checking these out for poses to use with the Demi-Fiend figma.
What’s everybody’s build? Mine personally is Deadly Fury,Pierce,Endure,Physical Repel, Bolt Storm, Elec Boost, Focus and Freikugel.
haven't played the remaster yet but for my last save on the original version i went with his IV:A build (Freikugel, Gaea Rage, Deadly Fury, Magma Axis) in addition to Focus, Pierce, Mediarahan and Fire Boost.
@@ghostlanceryderwilson Nice I have to say Gaea rage and Magma axis are my favorite animations they look like boss moves.
@@hydogens2333 yeah Magma Axis is one of my favorites as well... and Atlus thought the same about Gaea Rage, so they made it into an actual boss move lol
Masakados magatama
Pierce
Repel fire, ice, force and electricity
Focus
Freikugel
P I E R C E D !
Ah yes, the hd remaster of a classic video
So just to clarify- am I right that Freikugel is the strongest single target physical skill, Gaea Rage or Xeros Beat is the strongest multi-target skill, and Magma Axis is the strongest magic skill Demifiend gets?
Gaea Rage is strongest for raw numbers, yes.
Magma Axis isn't the only high damage spell he has, though. He gets Tornado, a high tier wind skill.
I like how these special attacks reduce your HP. It sucks, yeah. But it’s Atlus telling you to stop abusing your moveset.
More like its Atlus saying "Fuse prayer and life drain onto EVRYTHING"
Nothing will beat the feeling of a buffed Gaea rage
In smt v there should be option to sacrifice one of demons health not the one using it or demi fiends
The funniest thing to me is Gaea’s Rage and Magma Axis look like they would be fire based, but are PHYSICAL.
Magma Axis is a Fire skill it just uses HP instead of MP (similar to Freikugel being Almighty type) and it can be strengthened by Fire Boost
Having choices about how to build your character is a lot less fun when one choice is blatantly better than the other, and it's even worse when you don't know that until it's too late.
Divine shot is all you need.
deadly fury is just way too cool
That explains why digital devil saga he was a nightmare to deal with kekw
the more I look up this game the more confused I get. wtf is Dante doing there of all people
One of the folks who was making the game thought it would be cool to include Dante. The higher ups thought it would be interesting, so Capcom let it happen in return for the SMT demon designers designing Dante and Vergil's DT forms for DMC 3
Storywise, he was hired to hunt down the Demi-Fiend.
@@ysaacaerora1113 It fits since at the end of DMC2 Dante rides a motorcycle through Hell
Which the Vortex World is very reminiscent of
What is up with Demi-fiend's face when he's using Spiral Viper?
Makes me think of that teddy bear with the dentures
