Cheers
I seen what you did with that comment 😁. 😎
Well don't mention some drunks unscrewed that line a 1/4 turn at a time probably in the dark.
That was absolutely fantastic!!! Ida never guessed it would start that soon after the fuel line laying on the ground. Thanks an ole fieldrows are good folks. Keefe an Jim or Randy are so fun.
They are good people for sure
Them spindles brought back A LOT of bloody memories……..I’ve tried explaining to my son how we used to clean spindles with a curved blade….one by one every morning before getting cranked up for the day……..hence scare hands. Now I just showed him on this video the spindles of pain……thank you sir
I hear ya
On batteries. There are two ways to connect more than one battery.
One is "parallel" which is/ + to + and - to -.
The other is series which is - to +.
If both are 12 volt of similar size--
Series doubles the voltage from 12 to 24 VDC.
Parallel doubles the available current . (amps)
The engine whisperer strikes again. Great job Wiley.
Hope wiley eyes are doing better both of yall be safe out there buddy
Me encanta que revivan esa conbinada para recolección de algodón , hacer los recorridos en un calor de 40 grados , fue inolvidable. Es buena máquina y los que saben mecaniquiarle pa lante . Me encanto y buena suerte 🍀👍
Wiley without whiskers, hardly knew it was him.
Lol
WOW !! I'm impressed !! You actually got that baby to start !!
Its a shame people leave machines sit their and not do anything with them.
Completely agree
I was thinking this was going to have to be a mini series with just trying to piece that injector line back in there. Good video. When it fired up the first time I thought oh, they must have already got the lone tightened back up. Then I saw wiley grabbing wrenches.haha
Lol. Thanks for watching
Found another great channel, thank you Hank, really enjoyed this video. Looking forward to seeing more.
Thanks for stopping by!
Great job guys..God Bless that old machine.
Love your videos you guys can fix about anything and everything 😁😁😁👍👍👍👍
Yes!! 😁👏👏👏👏 Runs like a top! Great work fellas! By the way, Elvis was on your pack of wrenches, Hank.
I had to get a 1975 John Deere 4400 combine running one time when I lived in Kentucky about 18 years ago. Similar situation, Sat in field, etc. got it going, got ac working, and, handed it over to the farmers. Was fun to test drive. Large straight 6 diesel I seem to recall…
After all the "Will it start" videos, I can't believe you haven't made up a set of decent battery cables that you can take with you!!!
We talk about it a lot. Lol
AGREED! Although it is comical to see them stumble bumble grumble and fumble trying to get a good connection to the starter!!
@@HamiltonvilleFarm yeah but how much fun would showing up prepared be? It's a lot more fun to show up with a truck bed full of mostly dead batteries, and only a couple of crescent wrenches and vise grips for tools.
Yuuup, c'mon guys !! Make life a little easier for yourselves !! Unless you like the hassles of "jerry-rigging" jumper cables every time.....? Tee Hee !!
I always enjoy your videos - you guys are really quite amusing with the comments and laughter you get up to !! Tee Hee !! Keep 'em coming guys !!
You guys keep me laughing & learning!
I have seen old machines on here that I had never seen, much less worked on.
I used to work on Bradley fighting Vehicles.
You learn something new everyday. What a great video.
Hank have you ever thought about that every fuel line on a diesel is the same length. That unit will make a great repower for something of even a well. After a all day event using shorter cables to take the amp draw and BOOM!!!!! LOL You all be safe and God Bless.
Good video Hank! I grew up 20 minutes from Waterloo. Just on the other side of the river. And Gravely Springs.
Good to see yall again good luck buddys
Very nice i Love to See how old machines starts i Hope thisachine will workin in Future again on a field
Elvis on the tool bag
Elvis in the tool pouch. LOL Finding that fuel line really saved the day!

Thank you!
Wiley is a real diesel mechanic.
everybody needs a friend like Wiley
indeed
That was surprising how quickly it started when it did. Cool video
crazy huh?
Great video my friend and something out of the ordinary too. 2 thumbs up !
That's awesome. We have a case IH 1660 combine with the 8.3. It's a beast. Good video
seen elvis in the bag and the tractor lite rite up auhha. fun time guys. cheers.
That was cool, dang🤯. Wiley looks so fresh, like he was dressed in his Sunday best 🤣🤙🏻. Great video 👍🏻
Right?!
Very smart crew
I can see your problem right there. The paint is scraped off. I'm alright though, I got to use my Crescent wrench today making coffee.
Elvis was guarding your wrenches
You fulfilled my request, thanks for another awesome video hank!
You bet!
live and learn..lol..hank ..that was so funny when it roared to life full throttle..glad it worked out..in the future maybe shorter cables should be considered first???..keep up the great work guys !!
Thanks for watching!
Awesome will it start Hank, after you got it to finally turn over it fired right up, amazing!
Thanks for watching!
Loved the crescent wrenches Hank and that engine sounds sweet.
👍
Wow that was a truly great ending . Thanks for another great video guys. 🇺🇸
Thanks 👍
Молодцы!!! Здоровья Вам парни!!!!)))
Besides the missing axel I wonder if that old cotton picker was save-able. It looked to be fairly clean for sitting there so long. Also, you can't beat simple, it just works. :)
I don’t think so. I think it had some more driveline issues.
@@HamiltonvilleFarm That's too bad. It looked to be in decent physician condition. But being from NY when I see something that isn't rotted into a rust pile it looks fixable to me. :)
@@Slane583 well technically it IS fixable, but not cost effective to do it to this old girl. Yank the motor for another projust and scrap the rest is about what needs done with her.
@@warrenmichael918 Besides the engine I think she still has some good bits left on her for another of her kind. :)
@@Slane583 Looks like there is still a lot of great parts left
Instead of using multiple batteries with somewhat "questionable" health with all of those jerry-rigged cables and connections, why not just put one good battery on the machine and run some jumper cables to the running truck? That way you'll get ~13-14 volts, and the truck's alternator will pump in any extra current needed to turn the Cummins over...
Beats having four crappy batteries in parallel any day of the week.
Excellent cotton Picker
Took a little effort but you boys got it cranked up 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
I love listening to Wally. He sounds like George Jones
Another great video hank and whiley and friends great to watch and get it running good fun and enjoyed to thanks guys for great video
Thanks buddy
Thanks for the awesome video thanks to all the guys that helped get it stared thanks again
You bet!
Diesel Creek sent me to preview you guys. I love what I see so far!
Thanks!
Another good video, Elvis on the tool roll.
Hello from central illinois. I look forward to your uploads keep it up!
Thanks for watching!
Hank, you need one of those jump start/battery packs
In the shop today - I start my wrenches at 2" and go to 20" in crescent ones.
Bombed....Whoa whod'a thunk it. I liked it. Most fun you two had in a long time.
Lol. It was a good time
Love seeing the ag equipment
Right on!
Nice picker I would use the 8.3 L cummins for a dump trailer motor
Oh wow, that man Whaley, can get any of those farms equipment running.
We run three Case Ih pickers in the early '90, however, because their baskets didn't collapse easily for transport we moved to John Deere and never looked back.
Field Rows is a great YT channel!
Yes sir!
Hey Hank. Just wanted to say, compared to a month or two ago, you guys audio is fantastic. Good job to you and your crew.
Thank you for the feedback.
You guys are awesome. Love the videos !!!!
Thanks!
Best video you have ever made!!!!
Concur.
The missing fuel line on the ground, maybe used to burn the wasps. That engine is a pain in the a## to work on, very difficult access. Battery heaven LoL ! That engine firing up on 4 out of 6 fuel lines was amazing, it sounded that the engine was part seized or the starter brushes completely worn out. Sometimes it is good to check the outer casing of the starter in this case, if that gets very hot, very quick, there is a lot of current going through the starter, as it tries to turn the engine. Great video as always. Good running 6-banger.
Wiley's makin videos👍
Good job and God bless yall
Thanks Ralph! Have a good evening
Wally must’ve got razors for Christmas. Lol. Love your channel God Bless
Lol
them Feild rows boys are awesome!
For sure
Another great video
Enjoy friend
Glad to see Elvis back
I have a couple projects and places you could see if junk will start
great job guys
Thanks buddy!
Gas Station Chicken & Cotton Picker Fixin'! That's what Hank Hamilton does!
Lol. That’s right! That BVA porta power makes my life easier! Everyone needs one!
I always enjoy your videos 😀😀😀😀😀
Thanks!
Case Cummins CDC 8.3 were used in everything at one time and thats one of the good east moline made cotton pickers If memory serves its a 200 horse engine in that machine and the CDC engines were built in Whitakers, NC, USA and made engines for Case and the cummins B and C series and ISL engines .... CDC was phased out in 2008 and Fiat buying Case formed the European Engine Alliance which used the 8.3 as the Basis for the new line of engines under the Iveco Name for Fiat and CNH now use a 6.7 NEF and Cursor 9 ..
That’s cool
Neat video Hank
Elvis on the bag
🕺🏻👍
That ford ranger video was funny as hell 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Glad you liked it 👍👍
Great job the dangers of working the cotton fields back in the day was the cottonmouths or water moccasins great piece of equipment sitting there
Right on!
We use the 8.3 liter Cummins in some of our mining equipment at the coal mines here in Utah
Driven some fire trucks with the 8.3. They didn't have the HP or Torque for the hills in my area but they always started and ran well.
Right on
Cotton Picking Good Time, Howboutcha Hank And Wiley
Howboutcha!
Amps actually=faster turn over, because a starter mainly uses amps to turn over.
holy hank this time( old guys really rule) that was awesome God bless
Lol. Thanks buddy
im still looking for a will it start in New Brockton Al for yall trying to find something i haven't seen you do before
Stud those batteries with allthread and use wingnuts. You'll be able to utilize any wiring configuration and save the wear and tear on delicate lead. Ohms law is against you because of resistance and the length of your cables. Even 4AWG will have limitations and you'd be lucky to see 200amps at the starter with all that length. I bet you'd peg an ammeter at the starter posts. EDIT... LOL, damn.
cool.

Johnny Horton sang the first water loo
What happened to the right side wheel and dual? An have y’all tried running the spindles and doffers to see if they turn !
Didn’t try that.
Awesome!!!!👍
Even though their 20 plus year old machines, there are many 2055 Case Ih pickers still mechanically sound and working.
