احسن موسم في لبنان، اطيب زيتون ع السفرة

إنه شهر تشرين الاول، موسم قطاف الزيتون في لبنان. في هذا الشهر تكون السماء قد زخت زخات الشتوة الاولى فامتلأت حبات الزيتون بالزيت وحان قطافها لرصها وكبسها في المرطبانات، ولعصرها في معاصر الرحى القديمة، او المعاصر الايطالية الحديثة التي باتت موجودة في معظم المناطق اللبنانية.
موسم قطاف الزيتون يكاد يكون عيدا قرويا في القرى والبلدات اللبنانية، انه موسم لإعادة احياء تقاليد وعادات قديمة ولجمع العائلات وللاحتفاء بالارض وكرمها الذي تغدقه على المهتمين بها.
It is October, the olive harvest season in Lebanon. In this month, the sky will have the first showers of winter, so the olive grains will be filled with oil, and it is time to pick them, to compact them and press them in jars, and to squeeze them in the old mill presses, or the modern Italian presses that are now present in most Lebanese regions. The olive harvest season is almost a village holiday in Lebanese villages and towns. It is a season for reviving old traditions and customs, bringing families together, and celebrating the land and its generosity that it bestows on those interested in it.
