I just wanted to say, your videos have been incredibly helpful. I have been trying to self-teach for cinematography, and lighting is such a huge subject and its incredibly daunting. Your videos have really helped me with understanding of lingo, use cases for specific gear, etc. So thanks for these! Really great stuff you are doing!

I needed every tip in these packed eight minutes because in five days I have to light a scene on short notice! That's amazing. I especially appreciate the tips on flags, which I admit to neglecting - such simple and useful items.

This was super helpful, I truly appreciate the useful tip!! Question for you with your key light, could you also throw on say a light dome with a grid and get the same results if you couldn't do the book light?

Hey Brady, I have been really enjoying your content lately. I have been a long time subscriber.
One tip for you to include in your arsenal. When shooting commercial work to block light, I always keep in my bag a few plastic black party tablecloths. They weigh absolutely nothing and each one cost about .50 cents if you buy them by the box. You can gaff tape them to anything because they weight less than paper. In seconds you can make a floppy, a ceiling skirt, negative fill etc. they are incredibly versatile.
Cheers man, please pass the congratulations to your lovely girl. I didn't know she was so multifaceted. She killed it on that last video about the tubes. You are a bless man!

Talk to me about that Fresnel attachment on your 600D? Is that an Aputure brand Fresnel? I've always wondered about mixing and matching other Fresnels with the 600D.

Thanks, Great job on the video. Also, like 99% of online lighting tutorials, you show how to light a person standing or sitting still. In most serranoes in video the person and or camera is moving. Please show how to light for movement?

The information in this video is amazing. As it is with all of your videos. But the mic distortion makes it really unpleasant to listen to. If you have Izotope RX or something with de-clipper, you may want to utilize that next time you record with a mask on.
