You often see these videos where the contestant gets a standing ovation, but you hear the crowd whooping and cheering throughout the performance, especially when the singer hits the money notes, but with this performance, the crowd were so into it, they were listening to every nuance of her sultry voice and waited 'til her last note, elegantly faded before going nuts! That's how good it was!
When she auditioned at the voice she was dressed all sexy and was so happy and confident..sang a rhythmic song and they not only did not turn around but also made her feel she was not good enough... thats what actually makes me sad and happy at the same time....cause this audition here was the complete opposite....here she was dressed like she just woke up and decided to audition with the same clothes..her hair all messed up in braid..she looked gorgeous nonetheless...the song was slow and sensual...and the judges reaction was a thousand percent better than the ones on the voice....this performance was true gold and Simon was right...her voice really is liquid gold

That's how you truly know when someone is good at singing, the entire crowd and judges were listening to her quietly, enjoying every second of her majestic voice. I fell in love with her voice & her as well.

making music myself over 40 years now I've seen good concerts and very good performances but only once in a couple of many years there's something I call a magic moment you'll never forget. Only had a few of them during the time. I never expected to find one on youtube. But the first time I watched Alice singing that song was one of those precious moments.
This is probably the best audition I have ever heard, the only audition which is comparable is Calum Scotts. The way she hits the notes, the nerve and fragility, is absolutely exceptional.
I love all the female jazz singers from the 40's and 50's...Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Etta James, but no one, and I mean NO ONE sings this song better than Ms. Fredenham. She has that smokey, oh so sultry voice that you can't find anymore. When she sings this song, wow, you time travel back to the mid 40's and 50's, to a smokey bar room....maybe Humphrey Bogart sitting on a stool....this for me is the new standard of female jazz songs. Ms. Fredenham should be a super star. Wow.....just....wow.

all she should be singing are all the torch songs of the 30s & 40s no one is singing these incredible song. She has the voice and the way she moves she is out of the big band era...this kids is incredible...
