I'm from Singapore and like durians, from our perspective (durian eaters) we simply don't understand why most foreigners cannot take the smell or taste of it. This video was hilarious to watch though xD

I am southeast Asian, and I love durian so much. I love it so much that I could eat a whole piece of it until I get dizzy because of the alcohol inside it (Yes, durian contains alcohol, about 3%).
It's understandable that both daniel and max didn't like it. Even half of my friends here in Indonesia don't like it, haha. Durian is the type of food that if you like it, you'll love it so much but if you don't like it, you'll hate it so much

In Max and Daniel's defense, Durian fruit is one of the few things both Anthony Bourdain from the Discovery Channel AND Andrew Zimmern from the Food Network show 'Bizarre Foods' absolutely hate and those guys will eat insects ! Max's reaction is priceless ! What makes this all work so well is that in spite of being competitors on the track, it seems they really are good friends off the track which is great and speaks to both of their characters.

From what I observe, people who really like durian tend to have an opposite reaction to cheese, and vice versa. There are some people out there who either likes or hates both, but for me i couldn't take durian at all (except durian icecream because the strong flavour has been diluted) but i could eat cheese and heavy cream without feeling nauseous even after several servings. I could eat 1kg of cheesecake alone no sweat while my friends that love durians couldn't even finish a 250g serving

They probably haven't got a choice. Ferrari and Mercedes are cunts that won't accept other teams matching their engine power, so that door is shut. Renault is calling it quits after 2018 and Aston Martin/Porsche aren't joining until the engines get revamped in 2021. They are out of options.

To those who have never tried Durian: when you crack it open it smells like the juice that pools up in the bottom of a dumpster. The taste is somewhat... creamy? But since so much of taste relies on smell, it's an awful experience.

They way they had each other is quiet different between in the circuit and outside the circuit
U can use a Swiss knife(any knife also can) to make a small cut at either end of the durian and from the small cut, use both hands to tear it open in two. The smell is very strong but if u make a little effort to actually eat the flesh, the taste is not that bad. It is sweet and creamy. We even have durian ice cream, durian crepe, pizza with durian topping and many other durian snacks. When in season, u can see durian sold at every turn of the roads. So do try once in your life.
