I have been a dividend focused investor for a long time. This does not mean I don't own growth stocks, I do. A well rounded portfolio should be a mixture of both categories. One way to minimize the anxiety out of stock market investing, is to make sure you keep a large cash cushion. I invest in the market, but never put all my money in market.
Dividends are dope. Personally, I sometimes use my dividends to buy other dividend and growth stocks for diversification instead of reinvesting in the same stock. To each their own methods though. The good thing is that you’re investing in the first place and that’s what’s important. Salute for the content!
I wholeheartedly concur; I'm 60 years old, just retired, and have about $1,250,000 in non-retirement assets. Compared to the whole value of my portfolio during the last three years, I have no debt and a very little amount of money in retirement accounts. To be completely honest, the information provided by invt-advisors can only be ignored but not neglected. Simply undertake research to choose a trustworthy one.
Impressive can you share more info?
There are a handful of experts in the field. I've experimented with a few over the past years, but I've stuck with ‘’Colleen Rose Mccaffery” for about five years now, and her performance has been consistently impressive. She’s quite known in her field, look-her up.
Thanks a lot for this suggestion. I needed this myself, I looked her up, and I have sent her an email. I hope she gets back to me soon.
I started working every summer after I turned 14. So by the time I finished college I had multiple experiences in the work force and I was able to land my first job. Working every summer was something I looked forward to. It meant I didn’t have to ask for money from my parents and I got to buy what I wanted from my hard earned cash. 🙂 I still remember what I purchased with my first paycheck.
😊
Me too! I took my first job when I was 15. I worked all through high school. I studied a lot in college but also took part time jobs and worked every summer. In those days you could get through college without taking on debt.
1) overpaying for vacation and trips
2) buying new items instead of thrifting them or shopping sales
3) dropping a lot of cash on "experiences for the kids"
4) not making their older kids get a job
Exactly
I always thought that I'm not easily influenced but I noticed that I have been spending much less money since I deleted my social media accounts (excluding youtube) 5 years ago. I never purposefuly kept up with the Jones' but maybe subconsciously? Idk.
My kids are getting summer jobs. I did! We already had our yearly trip off season. But as everyone does, we will splurge and support the local economy!
Budgeting BFF Rachel, I love that 😁 Love you Rach!
hi from australia budgetting BFF Rachel
Great ideas!
Hi Rachel!! Thank you for helping this family in so many ways!! your a great person!!
Lessons learned in blood are never forgotten. Learn from your mistakes and cherish your life
I used to make my kids kool aid popsicles every summer. Just cheap fun stuff
Hi BFF Rachel!
Budgeting BFF Rachel
I need ideas for things to do with my infant.
Snuggle & read to your little ones. No $ cost involved. They need to hear your voice & feel you l Iove them. It also allows you to take a breather. Put your phone down & shift your focus.
@@laurieknodel8442 I do read to my 5 month old as much as he stays still lol. I was thinking more ideas outside the home besides parks.
Go to the park, take walks with your stroller, have dinner in the back yard
When the teenagers get their first job it's a great time to teach them to pay themselves first by opening a Roth IRA at places like Taco Bell that have a 401k.
My budget is $1,500 a month, and I am saving for used vehicle. I am attempting to curtail my spending.
Good luck getting my 20 year old to get a full time job in the summer. She's autistic and stubborn. They've always had a part time job year round from high school but it can be a challenge as they get older.
She will want a job when she asks for something and tell her to use her own money.
No job equals no extras
@@kariforgie457 she has a job that gives her up to 6 hours. I pay for her food and give her a room in my house. I don't pay for her clothes, gas for her car. Makeup. Nothing. Absolutely nothing. I'll also add that her also autistic brother is the hardest worker I know and he likes to earn money and be independent. So when people blame the parents, they are wrong in most cases
@@kariforgie457 right! Why didn't I think of that??? Except... She's never asked for anything. That's part of the autism. Not even as a child has she ever asked for anything.
Could she comfortably handle a full time job with her level of autism? Is there some area of interest she has that a full time job would be a possibility? Food or retail? Something with consistent routine?
Teaching kids independence/responsibility for their leisure time…..
I got married 4 times. Those are my mistakes.
😂😂😂😂
But aren’t you the common denominator? 😅
Bro work on yourself before getting married again 😂
I wholeheartedly agree with #1. I get thousands of dollars of free money every year that I can use on my vacations & trips. How? I use travel credit cards responsibly. Use them when buying things I was going to buy anyway (groceries, utilities, gas, etc.), pay them off in full every month, & get miles/points which I then use to book my flights & hotel stays for my vacations. It is possible, Ramsey NPCs.
I remember when I just got into crypto back in 2019 but later in 2020 I ended up selling it because I was dumb and I didn't understand it. I studied and learned and now I know how it works. Got back into crypto early in 2023 with 10k and I'm up with 128k in a short period of time.
How please, I'm pretty new and feel I have much to learn. I would appreciate if you show me how to go about it.
That's nice! But how did you manage to achieve all that even with the current economy that's very bad? I will appreciate your assistance on how to go about it, I'm desperately looking for a way to pay my bills and get to achieve my goals this year
Investing with an experienced expert is the best way to get started in the trade market. Learnt that.
I think I'm blessed if not I wouldn't have met someone who is as spectacular as expert Williams Brown
What is the best way to get started with the trade?
Why does Rachel always look like a battered housewife who scared to go home to her husband 😂
