Overally, im just glad that one more Japanese brand is going to make 2 stroke again.
KDX200 would be awesome, but...I'm just glad to see Kawasaki getting back to business
I recently found and bought a 94 KDX 200 in really nice shape. Project bike for the mountains cus I live in Kodiak. Low to the ground being a big thing for me here. My yz250 is too abrupt. A new 1 would be awesome
I HOPE SOOOOO 😅! WOW!
KDX 200 and 300 lineup would be a thing
Lmao
Hell nawwww..a 300
Appreciate your enthusiasm.
I predicted close to the KX450 chassis with a 300 two stroke, e-start in a standard transmission for moto, and a larger tank version with a wide ratio transmission for the woods.
Most people just don’t realize that those steel frames were comfy, forgiving. Now if I was a pro maybe I’d be pumped for the aluminum chassis.
I do wish more companies would bring back the steel frame better for the average joe
I owned a 1993 KDX200. Made the mistake of selling it for a 2022 Husqvarna. The E-series KDX was a bike for 95% of off road riders who buy bikes for the woods. Very comfy seat, lower to the ground AND with just as much suspension travel. I think people (like me) see these supercross style bikes on TV and thats want they want for the woods, so thats what we get sold.
I’m just an old amateur xc racer who did a little Mx racing in my younger years. I’ve had KX125s, KX250s and even a KX500 back in the early 1990s. I currently ride a xc set up 2024KX450x. I just as most can’t even tell the difference in which material my bike’s frame is made from. Maybe I just lack the skills and capabilities, but I feel like a lot of people put too much into the subject.
@@RichT-s2ragreed. I’ve never raced; however, been riding ALOT over the last 43yrs (I’m almost 54yrs old) and have owned both types of frames (still do currently) and cannot tell huge differences between the two. Must obviously be the fact that I’m not a Pro, but have been very comfortable on any of my MX bikes throughout the years and still am. Just love riding😊
The bike they ran during the release. It was either a 250 or a 300.my guess would be a fuel injected 250.then offer a 300 kit with mapping. Or both
KDX 200 AND 300 Enduro/Bush bikes with e start will suit the majority of buyers
Yes!!
We all now that for decades, but it takes modern managers half a century to realize. But now with Ktm,Husqvarna,Gasgas turning Chinese, and Husaberg kaput, their might be more interrest in Nippon bikes. But build the 200 engine with the old specs,bore-stroke. I had a Beta 200, didnt work for me.
I am so hyped, I hope they make a kdx300
Yeah with KTM in a panic kawaski and yamaha are making moves to capture on the market
I believe they will. Enduro is a huge market right now and nobody is competing with the big name KTM trio
YES YES YES ! 😅
@@asherlito3801 I've been riding two strokes and KDX all my life. I still have two 1984 and 1985 KDX 200s one Red and a Green one. When they bring the two strokes out I'll be on it so fast. 😂👍
Kawasaki getting back to where it should never have left 👍👌
I'm a moto guy but I have learned over the years the KDX was very admired
trying to tell from the sound... seems more 300 than 125.
I wanna see a fuel injected 500 2t lets party kawasaki 🎉
Some one my level that kx 5 hundo baby
@@Bforbendejo cause I like to party !
I like your thinking
YESSS!!!
You ever had a fuel injected two stroke? I have. It dumbs down the power band. I got rid of my ktm because of that and was looking at a yz250x
KDX 350 2 stroke hard enduro monster would take the world by storm
Won’t be a 350
@@kurtheidelbachpretty your right but with Beta doing a one off 350 2 stroke for Casey Stoner an rumours are they are considering adding it to their line up it's a nice dream kawi may consider it
I would perform immoral acts to get me hands on a new kdx300 🎉😮
This could be huge, and you have some interesting points. Thanks.
a 380... please!
Man if they brought back the KDX 200 and a 300 version with all the fruit they would kill it.
Yes yes yes. Kawasaki has woken up. Two strokes yes. 👍
KDX200 🙏
Hope they put some updates like counterbalance and some more power but keep the carbs. I love my 2019 150sx ktm but would consider if Kawi made a 125
Interesting theory and catch on the frame but they don’t usually use the same frames for 2 and 4 strokes. Several differences between the two frames normally.
Well done. I think you're absolutely right on the aluminum frame. Good call
I was at Anaheim 2 in person and when that ad came on EVERYBODY was going Nuts!
I started on a KX100 and a big Kawi fanboy when I was little. As of now I have a 23 TC125 Heritage I love it but it’s great seeing another Japanese Manufacturer that hops in the fun again after a long Hiatus!
Who would of thought⁉️
Let’s hope it’s a 300 with a carburetor!
About 3- years ago , out of the blue Kawasaki sent me an email showing a KX300R 2stroke with aluminum frame ,electric start, fuel injection. They asked - what do you think? I responded “when can I pick mine up”. The last bike I bought from them was an 09 KLX250s. So why they reached out to me is unknown but that’s my prediction seeing how they tipped their hand to me. And again this was 3- years ago. I wish I had kept the email!!!
Great catch!
Makes sense to share the same frame.
Buy a 4 Stroke and then drop in a 2 Smoker later on.
I think most people could do a motor swap with a light weight 2 stroke engine versus the rebuild cost of having a pro rebuild a 4 Stroke engine.
And wouldnt this make it easier for Kawasaki to get a 4 stroke thru emissions and then later these machines could cheaply take a 2 stroke motorswap for "closed circuit" use in the rest of America where 2 strokes are legal, unlike Cali.
I think you found a good loop hole!
If they make a 500 2 stroke I will be the first in line for one! Miss my old 500's
Got my first win on a Suzuki RM250 first bike was an RM80 but I always longed for a KX as a kid lol now as an overgrown kid I’m gonna get my wish 🙌
The crf 2021-2024 and new gen 2025 has the raised Y section aswell, the cr500 fits without frame mods. I think it has more to do with making more power and torque out of the 4 stroke with the straight through flow but i could be wrong😂
Bring back all 2 strokes 🫡
If they bring back kx125s and kx250 2 strokes I will cry in joy.
2-Strokes!!! 🏁🏁🏁
This video is popping off! Great topic! So cool to see new 2 strokes. All i know is I wont be riding behind you if you get this. Just spent a day behind a 2 stroke hahah.
If they made a kdx version I will totally get one
I can confirm your frame ideas and yes, the bike will be a 125 first.
Now, if they could sell it at a reasonable price ! Dirt bike prices have gotten way out of hand. $8K to over $10K is ridiculous.
Good points, however the double mounting points serve a purpose: Kawasaki have two different engine mounts for their bikes, stating they give the bike a different feel. So that's not to accomodate a two stroke engine. But I do believe it will be a KX 300 with this frame. FI and E start.
The second set of engine mount holes are for the optional motor mounts. Would be cool to be able to drop a 300 smoker into my kx frame.
I think your right about the frame too 💯
Good work
Didn’t sound like a 125
curious if they will try putting a KX125 into a KX250F frame, would think it would be to overly stiff and needlessly heavy for such a small motor
KX 125 and KX300 with a KDX250 would be perfect
Don't big daddy kx 500
I’ll believe it when I see one
Long live 2 strokes baby.
What I’m thinking it might be a kx 300 or a 350 2 stroke.
I think so too they know Yamaha is making a 300 with Cody Webb and want to get there first
@@guyontwowheels5423 lol cool your balls kid. if it's going to be a mx bike with a possible XC variant, i doubt it'll be a 300, but we'll see... why? unless the ama changes the rules, you couldnt race it against 450s unless you race in a open class or your local track doesnt care. at the pro level you cant race a 300 2 stroke with 450s in the states, at least not in mx. the rumored yz300 will probably be more cross-country and hard enduro focused, but i know ktm has a 300 mx bike, so we'll see. ktm and the other euros are known for odd-ball sizes, the japanese are not, but a new 2 stroke kawasaki wasnt seen coming either... let's just cool the assumptions as it's all speculation at this stage.
Make a race inspired enduro KDX chassis and fit a smooth ES , carbed 200cc and 300cc engines. They will sell !
Id buy a kdx200 straight up. Lightest and funnest bike ever
Who said they don't exist??
Last time I remember they still produce the KX65 85 and 112
Very true
Imagine a 500 with fuel injection and COUNTERBALANCERS!!!
Fire me up I’m so stoked!
Hopefully bigger than 300, a 450 2T would be sic. With any luck Suzuki and Honda will follow suit.
I am hoping if enough manufacturers made 2 strokes again they remove the cc cap and have it 250 2t and 4t in the same class and then 450 4t and 2t in the 450 class
@@guyontwowheels5423 I completely agree with you.
Team green 💚
Okay, man, hear me out. They could start right back up where they were in 2007 with the m3 kx frame and motor for 125 and up. And that same 41hp 125 they built in 2005 is a motor that could compete with today's 125 class bikes. I wanna put a new kx motor beside this 2001 sitting on my bench so bad. Either way, I'm extatic the old school green machine is BACK.
Kawasaki would kill it in sales with a KX250X off road model with an e-start and hydraulic clutch. I can dream right 🤷♂️
Kawasaki sign me up!!! In 2024 I bought 3 new bikes: a YZ250, a YZ85 and a 300SX. I'd love to add a new KX full size smoker to my fleet!
KDX, or for the love of God, how about a 125, 250, or 300 dual sport! Do it Kawasaki!
Bet they offer a 250 with optional 300 cylinder. Prob 5 speed, no lighting coil.
Long live 2 strokes
It’s be smart to make a mini, to compete in that market on the track. Very limited options rn.
The kx50,60,85,112 exist mini is good for Kawasaki
Although I hope you’re right, but you’re only speculating. KX450s had the same frame in 2024 as the 2025 KX250 and 2 STROKES ONLY has already done all of the R&D to simply bolt in a KX500 engine..so a 250 would be no big revolution. Question is what size engine and will it be a new design or just the same thing used 2 decades ago, electric start or even fuel injection?
Watched an interview one of the ogs on the kawi team said he’s not sold on fuel injection for 2 strokes yet so maybe it’ll be carbed
U can tell by the sound its bigger than a 250cc . Crazy if they went bigger than 300cc , people want power!
It's gonna be a A KDX 200 or 300 ! 🙏🙏🙏🙏 EFI / e start! Hopefully 6 speed transmission!
i sure hope so
If they got a kdx right, ie made like a euro 250 or 300 and not a soft play bike they would sell thousands of them . There are heaps of riders who grew up on a kdx and having a top notch new one would be awesome.
Hope so. Maybe Honda, next. I think these manufacturers are knowing that they price themselves out with the 4 strokes too expensive and too expensive to maintain. Come back with the cheaper 2 stroke. You'll get the sport going again.
We know its going to be a 2 stroke it needs to be a kdx 200 or even maybe 300
Hoping for more off-road/enduro focus vs MX. otherwise I don’t see why one wouldn’t just go with the YZ
Not read all these comments but the two motor mounts on the frame spars aren't for 2 strokes they're for different flex feed back from the chassis you move the mounts to change characteristics of the frame flex. I'd be surprised they go back to two strokes you'd have thought they'd be concentrating on electric.
Last week they announced they are bringing 2 strokes back. why would you be surprised when they already announced it.
Hope Honda is watching
300-350 🔥👍
Awesome vid Asher
They've been using adjustable engine hangers for a minute. Different Flex characteristics.
125 and 250 KX H2 Compressor
Bring back the Beast the KX 500. 😊😊😊
Hell Yes!!!!
That's what I am saying an 2006 rm125 or 250 reproduction would put Suzuki on the map
Sounds great but…. Designing something for more than one purpose always includes compromise.
Take my money Kawi!
Id also buy min 1 KDX 200 air-cooled OSS KYB FrnR discs obviously and removal alloy subframe, (kiss) keep it simple stupid, this would [d sell like hot cakes!
Yes we need a KX125 too
It probably will be an aluminum frame, but that has zero to do with the frame on the four strokes moving the y, It's not like kawasaki is gonna use the same frame for a totally different bike.
We Need a Street Legal kx500😂
A new KX500AF would sell faster than they could make them, even if it was just the old engine in a new frame.
No they wouldn’t. The old 500 sale’s weren’t even proportionally high
you think they did that to the frame with the 2 stroke in mind? the manufacturer's have been going to center-port exhausts, doesnt mean they're all coming back out with 2-strokes. i think even if they use the same frame, they were probably going center-port on the 4 strokes anyway. the 250 shares the same frame as the 450 already which likely explains the engines hangars. you're making a lot of "definite" assumptions. if you're right about anything it'll be because you turned out to be, not because you knew from the start.
Yeah the center spar being shortened was to get even intake and exhaust speeds so it’s neutral during combustion
Even in this AF configuration a 125cc two stroke engine is still way too much at a power disadvantage going up against a modern more powerful 250 four stroke engine
Make it a even heads up
250 cc two stroke against
250cc four stroke then we’ll see just which one is truly the better all around motocross bikes😎💪🤙
Its as if our prayers are answered
We all know Jesus rides a 2 stroke
I hope its 400-500cc
I am buying a 1995 CR 250R 1 owner in a few weeks!
awsome those bikes won many a mx and sx race
When will Suzuki bring em back
It won’t be a 125. They are starting with off road not MX. It will be a 250 and 300
2 strokes only builds billet kx 500 cases to fit 2024 kxf450. Bolts straight in no cutting welding just buy kit & fit
I'll have a 250 please.
Big Bore !!
It makes no sense to build a track bike. A kx 2-stroke isn't going to be competitive with a 450 or a 250f. But an Enduro bike. An electric start 200/250/3 00 would be gold.
Dude all manufacturers are making their frames like that now
This is 21st century shouldn't all motorcycles have an aluminum frame?
So officially have donkeys started to fly? 🤣
Pumped to see what they release. Just for a heads up Kawi has had adjustable foot pegs, bar mounts, and motor mount positions for years
🤙🏁
I herd it was a 987654321cc😂
No 125. No kdx. We need the 300 and 500 kx.
First new dirt bike a 93 kdx 250, just bought it back.
It’s probably just a ke100.
Never made a KDX 50 bro.
It was a real thing Google it, oil injected and everything little peewee bike
Honda needs to bring them back too
Lmfao what a joke. Mitch explains the center intake and outlet was done to balance the flows of the kx250 four stroke. It has nothing to do with 2 strokes it was done so the four stroke power got better.
KDX 300. They will sell every single one
350 2 stroke please 🙏
Won’t be a 350. 300 at best
Day late and a dollar short.
