My ignition switch went bad in my 33 (power line does get disconnected when starter gets power so engine spins, no spark happens). So, what I did was use a fused wire with a push button to ignition wire. Now I turn the key ON and use that button to engage the starter. It is running that way now as a temp measure. Does a new ignition switch need the entire key barrel or is there an insert I can change?
Hello. Very nice. You can remove the barrel and have it replaced, repaired or something in between. For the temperature I do have a video for that. Just need a wire to test it to ground
Love the boxer content!
Thanks for watching
Another great video, hope you're able to do work on your 33 in between customer cars and video's
Not really...
Great video of a lovely car. Would love to get one myself later on.
Thanks for watching
But how was the alternator spinning and not spinning the flywheel? The solenoid was not engaging?
It was not throwing the gear far enough to reach the flywheel.
