Love the rebuild. Would love to see a norwegian rebuild, like for Molde or rosenborg and see how the different season start/end dates would affect the rebuild and team.
Hi Jake! Could you maybe rebuild Willem II? They failed to promote back to the Eredivisie last season, after being in the cup final in only 2019 and Europa League in 2020. They're really struggling, would love to see that rebuild :)
I liked the rebuild and understand the need for the channel to display wonderkids. But it would be nice to include the club philosophy, in this case: develop youth prospects from the academy. Also at the end you had one Dutch player in the starting eleven, its hard to imagine this happening at Ajax. Keep up the good work, maybe do a Lyon rebuild as well?
Cool video. Although Ajax already spend 100 milj in last Transfer Window to get this squad. So it would be more realisitic if you started with the given squad.
I got FM24 on discount. First time I bought a 'new' FM since like 2010. Amazing how the game has changed since then. My club is Ajax so of course I wanted to face the challenge of improving on their real-life season (18th at some point in the season, and finished 5th). I played 'blind' at first without looking for hints and wonderkid tips, but did eventually download some tactics to speed things along. Yeah... 23/24: finished 2nd, 4 points behind Feyenoord. Won the Dutch Cup. Eliminated in EL round of 16 by Galatasaray after being up 3-0, but conceded 3, same kind of scenario as real-life Ajax against Spurs in 2019. God damn it. I started with the 23/24 winter signings, so Henderson was there and actually damn good. Played 4-2-3-1 most of the time. Ramaj on goal until Rulli came back from injury. Brought back Tagliafico to break legs as an inverted left WB, so Hato and Sutalo could be the centre backs. Rensch right wing back. Henderson and Taylor as DMs. I bought a Spanish guy named Fidalgo as AMC for €6M. Bergwijn and Berghuis as left and right wingers, respectively, both cutting inside. Brobbey leading the line, Akpom as super-sub. Feyenoord were leading all season, but Slot left mid-season to manage Spurs, and they got some Spanish manager who wasn't as good, so we came within 1 point, but then squandered a 3-0 lead against Volendam, FML. But still a great improvement on the real-life situation, with the benefit of having Henderson all season and fit, who absolutely led the dressing room. Offloaded most of the crappy Mislintat purchases. 24/25: Won the Double, including the league with 13 points difference over Feyenoord and the Dutch Cup. Feyenoord and PSV were very poor competition this season, and I remained unbeaten against them. Reached the CL play-off round in the new format (against Feyenoord, whom I beat easily!) and then round of 16, eliminated by PSG. I sold Fidalgo for €40M (decent bit of business) and brought back Van de Beek for €13M, but Hlynsson started improving a lot, so competition for the AMC spot remained fierce. Rulli remained my first GK, but Ramaj got better by the end of the season so I made him my first GK officially in the summer. Berghuis started falling off a bit, but I brought back Conceiçao from loan mid-season, and he became very good. Brobbey top scorer of the league, but with 'only' 21 goals. Mannsverk and Forbs also increasingly started asserting themselves. 25/26: For some reason, we qualified for the new format Club World Cup in the summer of 2025, which I won, beating PSG, Man City and Barcelona (!). WTF, I love FIFA now! Been saving lots of money, the balance went from €63M in July 2023 to €170M in July 2025 what with all the CL money, transfers out, and other bonuses. I asked the board to give me one big coup above and beyond the transfer budget, to sign Koopmeiners for €84M. Brought back Veltman and Blind, but more for depth and the dressing room. Struggling a bit at the moment however, 10 games in and already trailing Feyenoord by 6 points. We'll have to improve. The CL draw is decent, with quite a few weaker opponents than last time, so hoping to reach the round of 16 in one go. The 24/25 youth haul was a golden generation with about 6 positions having potential star players, so it will be fun to develop them and slot them in. Brobbey is having a lot more trouble finding the net this season, which is worrying because Akpom is still the only stand-in. OTOH, Conceiçao scored 7 goals in 10 games from the right wing. Proof that the 'star' rating doesn't tell the whole story. This isn't exhaustive, but it's certainly possible to rebuild Ajax. The foundations aren't bad in 23/24, especially if you get Henderson all season and still have a bit in the kitty, which isn't really realistic for the situation of Ajax IRL. Real-life Ajax currently still need to reduce the wage budget even now, even if it means selling Bergwijn, to get more budget. Sutalo might have to be offloaded for the same reason, even though he has potential. Ajax in real life are hoping to keep Ramaj, Hato, Taylor and Brobbey, and rebuild from there. IRL Ajax are even losing youth players to Feyenoord. PSV is playing the football style that Ajax should be playing, and buying the players that Ajax should be buying. AZ has the kind of youth development that Ajax used to be good at. It's hard to overstate how bad Ajax's situation is. So you have it a bit easier in FM because you can build, instead of just struggling to survive and compete for Eredivisie honours. Without transfer tips or anything, just using my scouting and DoF, I made some good and some crappy transfer decisions. My team now is a bit unbalanced, a few too many of the same type of players. And lacking a bit of depth since I offloaded some players who wanted first-team football but were not first on my team sheet. While some other positions are over-occupied with some players with potential, who are not there yet and have to be loaned out. Repeating some Mislintat mistakes? There is some great youth, but at 17 they're not yet going to be making the difference on a rainy day trailing 2-0 at Heerenveen or something. The fans and board love me on the back of the 24/25 results and the entertaining football we play, but as any Ajax fan knows, things can turn sour for managers very quickly. And with the 24/25 results and the great financial recovery, the expectations of the Ten Hag era are back: we're expected to win the league every season now. So things will stay challenging.
Man, I'd love to see you do a rebuild in Brazil. The team I support, Grêmio (or GRE in game) has won the league title twice, plus 5 national cups and 3 Copa Libertadores. The club was relegated to Série B in 2021, but managed to get a promoted last year. This year we brought in Luís Suárez and he's been great, got us fightining to qualify for Libertadores again. The thing is: Grêmio hasnt won a the Brazilian first division since 96, and the real Brazilian obsession is the club world cup, which we only won once, in 83.
Fc groningen would be a great rebuild from winning the dutch cup in 2014 pushing for European football to being relegated and just like ajax being in total chaos
I love you video....but that vitesse shirt hurts me ALOT more then it should😂 put a Heerenveen shirt up there and I will subscribe😊 (i subscribed anyway but dont tell)
Dinamo Zagreb. Famous club, starting home of almost entire croatian national team, now in tough times but still with good young squad. Try winning some european silverware with them
Ajax are first save on FM24. Struggling to find coaches it's a massive pain in the anuuuus. Tried the find similar but it's not produced great results...
Can you rebuild Motherwell? Fan owned club who last won a trophy in 1991. Obviously have to overcome the Old Firm but have a promising young midfielder in Lennon Miller.
It's true though. I got lunin from real beginning of season 1. Left 6 months later for 60 million. And he was injured 3 of those months. I've just started asking for roughly double every time. Lol
Indian Super League would be great league to do a rebuild or an rtg or a simple let's play save. Would be great for your Indian viewers. Indian football is slowly but positively moving in the right direction. Would love to see it! ❤❤
Ajax was my beta save. I signed Vitik, Weiper, Braunoder and Polster forst window. Won every competition year 1 including europa. Think I pinched your luck. Sorry mate.
can someone explain why ajax have no staff at the beginning ? didnt know you need licences for it, is this gonna be for more clubs ? i have to prepare myself haha
You should rebuild Benfica, despite all the good transfers somehow they managed to not win any Champions League game and they are 2 nd in the league but playing awfull football

Lyon will be a great team to rebuild. They lost quite a number of their gems and are struggling currently in Ligue1.
wasn't long ago we did them!
