Seems like a fun project and I appreciate the time and energy to share this info, but you can buy pre-made canopy weights for the same amount or less.

I did that but used concrete the frame wasn’t strong enough in the wind and it destroyed the tent if the stakes won’t holed it down take it down or the wind will destroy the tent and you will need a new one that’s my opinion anyway .
commercial rated canopies can withstand wind much better, but whatever makes your setup hold is always best, thanks for the reply Paul
@@esentlwhat company brand is yours ? I got mine from Sam’s club for $200 and it was a commercial grade I think it was from the brand EZ up .
@@paulmarion3290 same Sams Club, its a decent quality for what you get, I think having a canopy that vents is also key

Thank you for this video, but wouldn't you spend less money on quickcrete is you added water creating a cement mixture and put it inside the pipe? Also how come you didn't tie the pipe with your tent legs instead of hanging?
the great thing about this video is you don't have to copy what I do....all these how come this and how come that.. can just become what works best for your situation and you, thats the fun part, I like your quickcrete idea tho that definitely would make it heavier...by hanging them I use the hook holes in the canopy, I feel like I am anchoring them better and not stressing the legs out by strapping them to the bottom at an angle, that would stress the leg since its the thinner part of the leg, but whatever works best

no they are not, I had em already so I figured Id use em, but just the 4 alone was good
Some events have a minimum weight limit per weight. 24lbs is what I say stated. My weights are 22.6lbs but seldom are there any limitations.
It can cost 3x this if not careful.
I don’t see how this is saving any money
not everyone will, when you break down the amount of weight you get per dollar that's where you are saving....I am sure amazon has some sales
I was against this idea at first but realize its a good option.. ive seen others use a hook instead of the eye and hook it no straps to the top frame.. any comments?
eye is more secure for me imo
