This is an informative video explaining different scenarios of how to deal with flooded wood flooring. Great to see the examples too! Thank you!!!

I had some joe blow contractor try to rip me off saying the whole floor needing replacement, I had a bathtub leak behind the wall and had to bust it open with a sledgehammer then I found the leak and repaired it. The section that had water damage was about a foot in diameter. I sanded it down and repainted it with some specialty wood coloring markers from home depot. It's not the exact color but close enough that unless you look real close you won't see color change. I saved thousands and told that contractor to shove it. They assume we are all dumb.

What about hardwood that was glued to a foam sound barrier glued to concrete that has a leak spread vastly underneath the floor? Can the rest of the floor not effected be saved? Severe Buckling in 5-6 places. Or do you need to start all over again?

Hey Joe! Our Technical Director Daniel goes into the house later in the video where he elaborates a bit more on the signs of water damage, so we decided to save our b-roll flooring footage until that part in the video. The footage gives some great examples of water damage on hardwoods. Thanks for the comment!
