We are back with a new video. This vlog is all about our recent trip to Washington D.C , which is the Capital of USA. We wanted to share our experiences visiting this place, our journey, different places we visited, our travel experience through Amtrak train journey in this video which I hope would of some help and knowledge who would like to travel from New Jersey to Washington D.C through Amtrak train.
Once we reached Washington D.C we stayed at the Hotel Hyatt Regency on Capitol Hill- which is one of the premium hotels in the DC area. We had a very good time at the hotel as it had several facilities within the room and inside the hotel for a wonderful experience.

Today, we’re visiting dozens of national parks concentrated in our nation’s capital - Washington D.C. honoring not only our nation’s past, but also a woman who has meant so much to the national parks - Former Secretary of the Interior - Sally Jewell. She’s offered to guide us to the top of the Washington Monument. But first, we’re exploring some of the most famous park land in America without leaving the city limits.
There are so many different national park units in Washington D.C. The National Mall and Memorial Parks make up more than a thousand acres in the heart of our nation’s capital. In total, there are more than 30 park units in and around Washington D.C. The National Mall contains more than 80 historic structures including memorials for those who fought in the Vietnam War, Korean War and World War II.
The memorial to Thomas Jefferson, America’s 3rd President, is designed in the classical style he liked seeing that he was an architect, author, inventor, lawyer and diplomat. However, he’s most famous for writing the Declaration of Independence.
The Martin Luther King Jr Memorial opened in 2011 and it’s the first monument on the mall honoring a person of color. This 30 foot sculpture is 159 blocks of granite shaped to look like one solid rock.
The Lincoln Memorial is in a class by itself and tonight in Washington D.C. we visit the scene of a great American tragedy - Ford’s Theater - now a national monument, is where President Abraham Lincoln was assassinated by an actor named John Wilkes Booth.
Next we visit the most prominent monument on the National Mall. The Washington Monument is the world’s tallest stone structure made from blocks of marble, granite, and blue stone. It was designed in 1835 as a tribute to General George Washington who won the revolutionary war. When it opened in 1878, this was the tallest building in the world. It’s still the tallest in Washington D.C.
