I have mild PCOS and a luteal phase defect (spotting in the second have of my luteal phase) and I have two perfect babies thanks to clomid. Baby #1 conceived first clomid cycle (after a year of trying naturally) and baby #2 on my second clomid cycle. Doesn't work for everyone but for me it is an absolute wonder-drug. Just want to give some people hope who are watching this ❤

One problem I got is I want a family but I still smoke some weed would that cause me any problems wit pregnancy on clomid??? I will not be smoking while pregnant. I have no kids for everyone information and I'm in my 30s

@@angielove6301My sister and her husband smoke tons of weed 20 times of day and they have since they were 16 years old and they’re having their 5th kid soon. Doctor in this video has a video saying don’t smoke weed..You can do however you feel but I know plenty of people who smoke weed and have tons of kids…

I took clomid twice last year after a miscarriage. The first time I was fine no side effects. However , the second time , it gave me headaches and vision problems. I didn’t end up pregnant. Didn’t take it again. But now naturally pregnant 🤰🏻 😊

@@angielove6301 I was trying to get pregnant for two years. Then I did and had a miscarriage. Then I tried with clomid two rounds and it didn’t work for me so I stopped
What kind of visual problems did you have? Did you get better?
Went on clomid in early April 2023 and got pregnant. Currently in my 9th week. Luckily I didn’t have any side effects while taking it

@@Shay2020. I was diagnosed with pcos. I had some of the symptoms but not all. For example I know a lot of people have acne when they have pcos but that wasn’t something I suffered with.
Edit. I have very irregular periods and one doctor put me on birth control for 3 months and still that didn’t regulate my cycle. In 2021 I didn’t have my period for the entire year. I got pregnant naturally without any medication in 2020 but it turned out to be an ectopic pregnancy and I had to end up getting my left tube removed.

Starting my first cycle of clomid this month! After getting pregnant and having a miscarriage it’s took almost 10 months since, so my fertility doctor recommended we take clomid and try to conceive naturally before going the IUI route. I’m praying it’ll work for me right away 🙏🏼

Thank you for the helpful information! My friends mom owns a fertility clinic in Houston (where I live) so I’ve been seeing her, but my OBGYN was the one to prescribe me clomid (I have mild PCOS & am 32 years old)
Blood tests show I have low progesterone in luteal phase so I only get my period once every 2 months and the cycle length isn’t consistent.
I don’t want to take Clomid if I don’t need it..I’d rather just take progesterone if that would help me ovulate.
Do you have appointments that are just for consult (since I’ve already had all the tests) because I don’t feel like my OBGYN is giving me the best options necessarily. It was just “take this this and this and you’ll get pregnant”…I just feel a bit lost🥺

Hi thank you doc for the amazing video. My doc prescribed me 5 days clomid. I took one on the second day of the period and the period stopped. Why did this happen? Should I continue using clomid?

I was put on letrozole twice. My doctor wanted two follicles/eggs to mature in hopes one would fertilize. The first time (2.5mg) nothing really happened. Three follicles (of 20) were moving together at first but in the end only one at time of insemination. The second time she increased my dose to 5mg and all that happened was one follicle grew too big too fast.
I’m excited for this video! Thank you for all this information. I’m on fertility medication now and I’m switching from letrozole to tamoxifen.

@@worldtravelerxoxo1201 I had really bad side effects like ruptured ovarian cysts, migraines, blurred vision, fatigue and etc for months. Im sensitive to medication in general and I was on the lowest dose.
It’s just crazy to me that these medications are meant to suppress estrogen in women like myself who have had breast cancer, but simultaneously used for fertility! Yes Tam can cause some nasty side effects so can Letrozole but I have been doing well on Letrozole besides joint pain. Can’t wait to get off Letrozole so I can try for pregnancy
@@aleecewhite3919 I haven’t had any joint pain but definitely headache and fatigue. But I’m only on 2.5mg to start.

Hi Natalie, i have a question. Ive done 4 rounds of clomid , ive ovulated on all cycles but negative. Our ivf has been scheduled and i have the decision to make , do i finish the 2 remaining clomid

I too want to try naturally. Have regular periods and ovulating based on BBT which shows temps increasing over 3 days then staying elevated so my thought is I am ovulating but not falling pregnant. Would clomid help?
What if you ovulate normally but you're over 40 just want to use Letrozole to boost ovulation to avoid IVF? Is this effective for boosting normal ovulation?
This video was great timing- I took my first dose last night.
How effective is clomid? My doctor said he’s only giving it to me because my insurance wont cover IVF unless I do this first (clomid/IUI), but that I should not get my hopes up or expect it to work at all, and basically just suffer through three cycles so we can show I tried.

@@colomboea congrats!! :) I’m currently struggling with unexplained infertility and have a follow up appt with my fertility doctor next Monday. I’m curious if he would put me on clomid without ivf/iui at least for the first 2-3 cycles. Honestly, it scares me with the low percentage rate on IUI and IVF is very expensive, too.

In the first cycle with Clomid 100mg, I didn't get pregnant. Now I'm on the second cycle with 150mg. I'm afraid of this dosage. What do you think of my treatment?
I got pregnant first cycle on clomid. Yes I had some of the side effects specifically irritability and super emotional. My question, I am 29 with pcos and bmi of 28. Do you think in every future pregnancy I will have to use clomid? Is there anyway to get pregnancy spontaneously.

Is it possible to just take clomid without IUI/IVF? At least for the first 2-3 cycles. I have unexplained infertility and have a follow up appt with my fertility doctor next week. Just wondering if it’s possible doing it that way before going the expensive route (ivf).

I have regular menstrual cycles and I am under 35 years old. I used Clomid, which resulted in the release of two dominant follicles, with normal sizes detected on both the left and right ovaries. Additionally, I used Conceive Plus gel in attempts to conceive, but unfortunately, it was unsuccessful. Could this indicate low sperm motility as a potential reason for the difficulty in getting pregnant?

Hi i have cyst no hormone issue according to test but im just not always releasing an egg. Ive been on birth control mainly just caused more cyst and irregular bleeding i do have irregular periods. My doctor told me if have to go to a fertility clinic to get the pill because she couldn't prescribe it to me because I have irregular cycles. My REI put me on Clomid 100mg daily for two cycles. I have PCOS, still not pregnant. I have been tracking ovulation with OPKs for months and have confirmed ovulation with day 21 progesrterone blood test. I think my doctor wants to try Clomid again next cycle. At what point should I consider more agressive fertility treatment?
Please read!! I was told I have pcos lots of cysts seen on ultrasound and slightly elevated testosterone. My insulin levels are normal. My Ob still put me on metformin. Is met still helpful even though my pcos does not seem to be insulin related.. I'm TTC. its so confusing!

Can one have a BBT temp rise and not actually ovulate? My OB did an ultrasound 3 days after my confirmed BBT ovulation cross hairs and positive OPK but she stated she did not see the corpus luteum on my transvaginal scan and therefore wants me to start Clomid.

What about heavy bleeding? Since I started it on cycle day 3 it seems it increases bleeding and cramps
This!!! It's not increased my bleeding BUT I've started spotting heavily on and off and have cramps I'm on cd8 now and I never have this!

Excellent video, your videos are always really interesting and informative. Just one thing though, I know you're trying to pleas everyone but referring to "people who ovulate" or "people who need ovulation induction" etc really does a disservice to women for whom English isn't their first language, for women who may have learning differences, and women in general. This is women's medicine, not "people's" medicine. You mentioned about men taking clomid for fertility reasons and it was great to hear what can help men too, but why do we have "people" and men? Please don't leave women out of the discussion just to please a tiny minority. Say women and people if you must, but please don't jump on the erasure of women, we're still here, just as the men are!❤

It is a pill, taken orally, usually at night from cycle day 3-8 or varying 4-9. They have you take it at night because it can cause side effects such as nausea, headache. I just got done taking my first dose and I felt/feel fine. Hope this helped

I have definitely experienced insomnia and hot flashes on Clomid. Also, I swear I've noticed some weight gain. Nothing severe, maybe 5-10 lbs, but not 100% if it's related to Clomid. Been taking it for about 4 months.

Anyone else get abnormal bleeding on it? Finished my last pill yesterday and here i am now bleeding again (heavy spotting) ! I had a longer period this month aswell (cd1-6) having cramps along with the spotting. Doctor never mentioned spotting was normal

My obgyn prescribed this for me last month when i said i want to conceive, i havent taken it, the side effects scare me, i'm 42. My husband and i just try to conceive last month naturally, i got my period yesterday which means our 1st month trying is failed. I'm still scared to take the pill.

I took Clomid 3 months in a row, I was not functional, last month I was crying every day and never felt myself as miserable in terms of mental health. The effects took at least 2 months to resorb.
I here only to comment to see if I’m not alone on this journey but I don’t have a normal period. Meaning I won’t see a period for months even up to a year. As well as both doctors I’ve seen has not told me I have pcos but I believe I do but if someone is on here can someone please help me out and explain or maybe help me understand what is going on with me that would be great!
