I have two questions dear @Adrian Salisbury
1/ Can we resize video windows on the canvas and also crop them as we do in observation. OBS allows resizing of video windows and also cropping.
2/ Can we use any other app to change the scenes without using the mouse. Apps like Touch Portal let you do that on OBS and it comes in very handy for those who can't afford buying stream deck.
I am not referring to the picture and picture mode though. That also shows the desktop. I am talking about adding a video window on the canvas and resizing and cropping it.

Thank you for acmes to these videos. Forgive me for being slow...the videos are showing me what you can do, but somewhere I'm missing the how! Ho do you add the little boxes that you keep ticking? How did you add the screen share? How did the PiP appear?

@@AdrianSalisbury We have watched those movements several times and must have somehow missed something. What is the trick to get the pdf file to load?
Excel church - Open finder, select your pdf and drag it onto the main Ecamm window or the overlays tab. If it’s 16:9 format it will fill the screen. Reach out in my fb group ‘pro video made easy’ if it’s easier and send me a screen recording or screen shot of what’s not happening

Can I add an external microphone to Ecamm? Or plug in the sound input from a mixer?
Scene window way too small...why not just have preview/live windows? How do you create scenes while live?

@@lhommedelapampa9730 yes...it would be like a preview window where I could set up a new scene before it goes live while another scene is currently live. Most live production platforms have this feature.
I greatly appreciate you creating the videos. I was very apprehensive it getting your Ecam Live however, you were great in explain the detail how to use it.
Just one question those the record or go live button does it say in the middle of the page or can it be moved?
Hi when using Ecamm with 3 guest I've set up a scene with all 4 cams up when I play a video clip then when switch back to camera all my guests window have gone ?

I'm using a Canon Vixia HF-R800, when I record all the icons from my Canon are showing in the movie, is there a way to hide them?
Apparently yes, google something like 'Canon Vixia HF-R800 clean hdmi' and you'll find some tutorials that should help you remove the overlays. Sorry, I'm not familiar with it.
two cams scene: cameras have different delay, what type/connection are they, why there's such a difference?
because they are all coming in different sources, one built in webcam, the Canon DSLR coming over usb and the main camera coming over HDMI. Interesting seeing the delays though right. You could adjust them individually if needed in the preferences area but I was just demoing. :-)

Ther only problems we're having with ecamm at the moment in Livestreams for church is the transition time between scenes. It's so fast and no adjusting to slow it down.... Any add on ideas about how to get a smooth slow transition fade between scenes in ecamm
You can change the transitions in preferences. It won’t slow them but it will fade if you want

in a two people live stream, both needs ecamm live? or a link is provided to the second talking head to do the broadcast like other platforms do?
I just installed ecamm but my camera setup between scenes are not remembered each time I close/open ecamm?
At the bottom of the camera effects tab you can select this as your default setup or similar wording. Just make sure the camera is connected before opening Ecamm and it will remember it

Will ecamm allow you to save the current overlays and scenes for later use like a template? I have different target audiences and saving the current state and recalling them later would be very useful when making videos or live stream.
Apparently when you save a scene, all the overlays are also saved with the exception of the vids.
@@tommyellison5506 there are scene groups, so I guess so. I will need something similar too for different types of streams and clients
How did you make your pdf the size of the Ecamm screen?
Will FB still receive the wide or do i need to use the square setting?
Why are you saying "Tick" instead of "Click"?
Why does in display sharing mode also show up all the buttons of ecamm to the viewers? I tried to switch off all that in the preferences in screen sharing. But it still shows all the buttons. Thanks for help
It only shows Ecamm in Live Demo Mode
I don't hear you say anything about how to assign the input to the different scenes. How is this done? You said camera two came up by default, what is the step to set the input? Mine is aways defaulting to the onboard cam, but I want to show other things.

Q: My PDF online covers half my screen when I bring it in, why is yours full screen
@Alan Ball If you double click right in the Ecamm screen on the item you are sharing, you can then move it about and pinch or pull to if using a laptop track pad to further adjust it.
@@wagthedogandcompany I figured it out thanks, had to save my PDF in 16:9 to zoom it to full coverage on my screen, thanks
Is there any way to turn off the shortcut Cmd+E? Sometimes, switching between my scenes (Cmd+3/Cmd+4 usually) I hit the Cmd+E by mistake and I end my Live Session immediately.

This guy is the worst. Not once does he explain how to create a scene. Switching between them is self explanatory.
The title of his video is how to "use" scenes. I am pretty sure he has a how to "Create" scenes video as well
