      Koreans and Chinese don’t always look similar because there are two different looks you have northern Han Chinese and southern Han Chinese.koreans look closer to northern Han Chinese due to close proximity but as a mainland Chinese I think that Koreans still look really different from Chinese.Korea has impacted China heavily on makeup so when girls and boys have makeup on in China or Korea they look more similar than without makeup

    *It can be difficult to tell apart since we are all Asians. But these images with their hair, pose, and makeup its relatively easy to tell. But even within each country, there are those who don't always fit the standard. Sometimes its very easy to distinguish, its just a feeling and overall appearance in the faces. One quick way I would say to tell apart is, Korean usually appear more masculine, squarish features. Japanese are more sharp features and Chinese are more delicate features. You can't simply say large eyes or small eyes, you have to see the entire face together.*

    The rules: Usually nature Korean have squre face and jaw, slender eyes (with flat eyebrows style), the height of nose between two eyes usually more flat if you observe it from profile. Japenese usually have bigger eyes, longer mandible, oval face, clear bone strucure, with their stylish hair style. Chinese is so diverse for the massive populations and huge landscapes. The northern chinese face structure is more similar to mongolian ( for example, with long square jaw like korean). The southern chinese more like Japenese but possibly with round face too. And the southest chinese looks more south asian people like Thai. And for the south-western chinese, those minorities like Bai or Tibetan who are not mixed with any other race, but don't know why their are exactly unique with long eyelash, bright big eyes, a little bit deep orbita(not the caucasian way deep), born tan skin, deep dark hair either curly or straight, and they usually have the best facial structure. As to the western Chinese like Uygur, Hui muslim, its not need to mention too much how different they are. So in general,, as we only talking about face structure instead of height or shooting style something, the mainpoints to distinguish the people from three eastern asian countries are: korean-square face shape, long slender eyes, flat eyebrow (maybe it's not the nature eyebrows' shape but for the makeup), flat but straight nose, lighter skin colour. Japenese- Oval face, round eye-shape, long mandible, black hairy style. Chinese-The typical goes with round eyes, with either oval or round face. and the northern chinese has long square face with slender eyes. And with some other Chinese race which looks different, etc. Those are my ways to tell asian as a asian, correct it if I'm wrong.

      I'm korean and I agree more or less. Korean have a bigger jaw and square face kind of, also more monolid eyes. Chinese are very diverse. Japanese usually have different hair and more beard, along with a smaller head and more oval. I as a Korean have a different face though, it looks. I have a oval face with prominent jaw and beard and bigger eyes than most koreans. Funny how nature and genetic works

      Indeed, It’s difficult to differentiate Japanese and Chinese without fashion since Chinese migrate to Japan which is known to be Kofun, which is around Yunnan Province to Sichuan Province, while the Yayoi people, which is another part of Japanese mixture, also move to Japan, the Yayoi people originated from the Yangtze River to the Korean Peninsula. And Japanese also have a Taiwanese look because taiwanese are the jomon that migrate to Japan. Which make Japan 2/4 Chinese 1/4 Korean, and 1/4 Taiwanese.

    This was a piece of cake for me.
    Remember this people: Japanese men usually have very pretty boy looking, slim faces. They try to go for the cute, innocent look most of the time.
    Japanese women have very large eyes, they dye their hair in very bright colors usually, crooked teeth, and have no definitions in the cheek area. They too go for the cute, innocent look.
    Chinese men usually have very manly faces. 60% of them have double eyelids, and the other 40% have a lot smaller eyes. Most of them aren't pale skinned, they are usually a yellow-brown. Chinese men go for a manly, strong look. Chinese women usually have large eyes, their faces aren't round as the Japanese, but they are quite round, they put a lot of emphasis in their eyes through makeup, they are usually pale.
    Korean men usually have square, defined faces, and long, small eyes, they are usually pale, and are the tallest out of the Japanese and Chinese (don't believe me? Check average height in the world) Korean men try to go for the warm, yet manly look.
    Korean women also usually have square, defined faces, long, small eyes (be careful though, many of them get plastic surgery to make their eyes bigger), and they are usually VERY pale. Korean women are the best at doing makeup while making it look natural. They try to go for the innocent, yet sexy look.
    Hope this helped. :)

      Not are about that, the most recent stat shows S. Koreans being taller than northern Chinese and Southern Chinese. This may change eventually, but all the data keeps showing the tallest Asian was S. Korean. Maybe the data you were looking at was taking about N. Koreans

    • @Al1492
      @Al1492 7 років тому +1

      We are talking about different things. I was talking about average Northern Chinese (Total male) and Total female (The female one you can't really dispute). With the males you can manipulate the stats/data to only select certain Chinese from N. China to show they are taller (but that is manipulated data), then I do not know what to say, other then that Stat manipulation gets questionable. (Especially for such a populous country.) But just looking at average young and old, no manipulation, you get a different story or with a random selection of young people, you get a different story. Then you get Taiwan 5'7-1/2", China 5'8" and S. Korea 5'8-1/2". That is without manipulation. This info is in general: www.averageheight.co/average-male-height-by-country
      It can change over time as diet changes. In addition, genetics will change it as well, Example Singapore or Hong Kong former colonies where lots of white male genes would have had an opportunity to infiltrate the native genes. The data on that website is not static.

    • @Al1492
      @Al1492 7 років тому +2

      GodsCommand obviously your are an emotional person, who can't seem to have a normal conversation without name calling. That data is all Chinese north and south, and considering, Canton, translates to Viet, and the Vietnamese are on the top ten shortest men in the world , the southern Chinese on average will bring the northern average down. That is why I stated Northern Chinese are 5'8" not what the chart was saying for all of China. Also if you manipulate the data, like the info you are comparing then it gets weird. You can do that with Japan and S Korea as well. people of Suwon district, under the age of 18, are 5'9-1/2" or Japan in the Kyushu prefecture, they are taller than the average. Then the info gets all weird. again we are comparing different things. The manipulated, is confusing, young in one country can mean under 21 but another can mean 18 in 2010. Too many inconsistencies over different test. No need to get upset and start name calling, this data can change. again it is not static

      GodsCommand , why are you so angry, and what is with the name calling. Why would you reference German and Japanese articles from the early 1900s. We are talking about today. The data can be manipulated, If you only take a group from one city in Japan or Korea you can do the same thing as the data you are presenting. Only selecting 18 year olds from the city of Beijing, Then why not only select 19 year olds from the Suwon district in Korea. like I said earlier this info is not static, it changes with nutrition and genetics, right now S. Koreans utilize mail order brides from China and the Philippines. 10% of the gene pool is going to change. They may get shorter, depending on the brides. Why does a constantly changing stat bother you so much you have to scream out profanities and rude name calling. This statistic will not make you any taller or shorter. Eventhough you are defending China don't think you are N. Chinese, most Koreans and Northern Chinese, do not care so much about these barely noticeable height difference. Are you from a short Asian nation or South Chinese, who just has an issue, with the taller brethren. I do not think you are Chinese because you referenced an old Nazi German and Japanese study, and you referenced dog eating in one of your profanity laced angry rants. Chinese love to eat dogs, and they take it a step further and even eat cats, (remember SARS)

      GodsCommand 5'8-1/2" is the info that is known in most statistics classes for S. Koreans height, 5'9-1/2" for younger S. Korean. I'm in a stats class this quarter, they were using ANOVA, to compare multiple Asian nations and F ratio the see if the variability was large enough to justify the difference in the conclusion. Can you read Chinese , Japanese and Korean, because that is the only way you can get the data, you want. Our university had the articles translated and threw out the questionable data. you can't use data from 1980 and 1990 for one nation and use the data from 2017 for China and believe it is justified. I really do not think you are N. Chinese, like I stated above you are referencing a Nazi study from Japan in 1900, then you are yelling about dog eating, when Chinese love to eat dogs and cats (SARS). I think you are from a short region/nation. Most Koreans and Northern Chinese really don't care like you do. Our Stats class had the most recent data , most current and translated from the original language, none of this 2000 data compared to 2016 data because you are not trilingual.

    What's the point of this video? I already know 99% of who these people are. You should get pictures of regular folks from the three ethnic groups and then test if we can distinguish between them. Every country have their "ideal" features they want to enhance, and the people in this video are somewhat famous so they look very Chinese, Japanese and Korean.
