Great video, but I'm just having a slight issue that when I choose darken in the compositing. It seems to add a thin black border for some reason, any idea how I can change this? Also in the 1st method where you uploaded a yellow image, I tried this but was unable to change the height or width, I can only adjust the scale of the rectangle
Hey! You can try using the same yellow background image that I've used in the video to avoid those black borders, you can download it using the below link:- drive.google.com/drive/folders/1alGQs28pmNrcAA5EMAa3dJwY7gTH2xbc?usp=share_link But if the problem still persists, you can try other compositing options like multiply or overlay. And for the scaling problem, it happens because in the recent versions of Filmora, you've got to first unlink the height and width, for that, you'll have to click on the 'lock' icon that you'll find under the scale option itself, and that will enable you to adjust the height and width of the image.
What's the key to resize the image directly from the video preview? I'm trying to drag the corners of the image while keeping ctrl/alt/shift pressed but nothing happens. What's the keybind for it? What did you press?
There are a few methods of rescaling the images and other elements: • Click on the X/Y value, and use the up/down buttons on your keyboard to increase/decrease the size of the element. • Alternatively, you can place the mouse cursor on the X/Y value, click and hold the LMB, then move it to the right/left direction for increasing/decreasing the value. This is what I did in the video while resizing the images. • Further, you can place the mouse cursor on the X/Y value, and scroll the mouse wheel up or down.
@@TheMohammedSadiq Thank you but it's not about rescaling, I'm talking about cropping it. You literally reshape, crop and adapt at your liking the yellow image directly from the video preview onto the text straight up. I know how to resize it maintaining the original ratio, but I want to manually crop the image directly from the video preview.
@@ex_0LL Oh, I used my mouse for that. Simply unlock/unlink the X-Y values, and click the image on the video preview panel, and resize it as per your requirements. Also, if you want to crop the image, use Alt+C.
Nice one bro, but I just tried it with filmora 13 and for some reason when using the 2nd method, blend mode aren't working on the text, it's doesn't become transparent after I change it to "darken" or "multiple", It's still a solid yellow. The first option worked perfectly though.
@@TheMohammedSadiq No blending mode worked, so I decided to arrange the highlights first, convert the text to a Compound Clip and then changed the blend mode of that compound clip and it worked 😁
Your method is good, but you talk too fast, It seems you're in a hurry and beginners who follow this video take many times to play and pause your video to follow.
Well, as long as people are able to follow the steps being shown in the video, the purpose is being fulfilled. Even if one were to mute the video and merely follow the steps, he would be with ease able to follow along. Anyway, thanks for the comment!
You explained it way better than anyone else
Thanks for your comment! I'm glad it was beneficial.

i cant stretch the photo for some reason
Just unlock the X and Y parameters in the scale and then try to adjust the size of it.
@@TheMohammedSadiq whenever i try to adjust the x or the y the other one automatically adjusts as well
@@TheMohammedSadiq nevermind it worked tysm
@@xyrelium Cool! You just had to click on the lock icon to unlink X and Y.
The fact that they don't have an actual highlight option is ridiculous
Yeah, it is. But in a way, it's also good, because I wouldn't have otherwise figured out so many ways to do it.

Thanks for the feedback! Will look into it and make sure that the next videos that I make are at a slow pace.
You are not a good tutor.. Better to learn how to teach perfectly.. It looks like you are reading for your exam
