Ran about 58.3-6 all day on the default setup, felt like I kept half spinning cause of the downshifts. So I copied your setup, which already makes it a ton easier to control midcorner, but also the normal gearing gained me a lot of time simply because it feels a lot smoother. Went to a 57.776 because of you! Thank you. PS; The longer gearing explains a lot why some people were so darn quick on the backstraight. Hope it will help me overtake too since I'm not the greatest at quali since I for some reason can't have the proper outright pace
The best time was 58.362, I adjusted to this setup and did 58.328. I already felt a significant difference in time, considering that achieving 58.362 required a very clean and well-executed lap. I set the new time on the second lap with the tires not even that hot yet. I'll test more and try to beat around 57.9. Thank you for sharing the setup! @edit 57.992 now!
I am more partial to standard gearing and I won't be surprised if by the end of the week I am running tall for this. This track is amazing. I love it here. I hope to be able to do many, many races this week!
@@helmetculture I have very limited use of my left hand, so the stability the standard or even tall gears give me are more valuable than the acceleration the short stack for me.
Thanks for this. Going to give it a shot tonight. Getting solid 1:00 on fixed setup when I realized I was doing the D Open series. Last turn on this track is fun and where I can usually overtake. More gains to be had elsewhere in the circuit for sure.
You are definitely not the first to have trouble. Try raising the ride height. Then adjust each corner camber and toe press apply, once all 4 corners are correct lower the ride height back down
gaIned 600 irating from ths mans setups!
Love to hear the success stories

Love to hear the times dropping. Gaining those last few tenths is the hard part. Good luck out there

Hopefully, it will be good participation with the holidays
@@edwardbuchanan871 It is a free track. It ought to be good participation regardless of holidays.
My iracing name is Rui Oliveira Teixeira / Rui Teixeira4
I'm on the short gear stack

@@helmetculture it's all about qualy, whatever gets you P1

Good luck! It's all about qualy
As usual very interesting video ..thank you for the work you do ... 👍
Thanks for this mate!
I run an h-pattern and the Short gears is awfully hectic, so I'm running Standard. But you're right, you get KILLED on the start.
At Tsukuba, slow and steady can take the day. Let them take themselves out on lap 1
my optimal lap with the fixed setup is 57,7 with 15L fuel. will try the setup when i get home
Sounds like you have great pace. Let me know if the set up shaves a little off
The setup UI will not let me save these values. Left rear toe-in, at +0.5, is indicated as Too Low. In fact, it remains "too low" even at over +1.0.

In fact, it will let me save the setup, but with rear toe-in set at +0.2.
How much fuel do you put in for qualifying vs the race?
3 L for qualy and 12 L for the race. However, it's pretty close to empty, 13L is safe
what do you change from this setup for a qualy one? just fuel?
Yup, just fuel ⛽️ 3L for this track
@@edwardbuchanan871 alright, thanks mate :) great content btw. Will keep an eye on your channel for the next class D ff1600 setups guides :)
