    I’ve had my LuggageWorks Stealth 22 since 2007, and it’s still going strong. I’ve been thinking about getting the Stealth Premiere for my wife, since she finally tried my bag out for traveling. She likes it, and I love the durability.

    I wound up staying with my luggage works bag after testing the helix pro. The extra space in the luggage works made more of a difference to me. I fly the CRJ so the helix pro would probably fit easier, but I need that extra space especially on a 4 day when I'm commuting a day ahead. Thanks for the review!

    Sorry but I’m sticking with my Luggage Works bag. Been traveling the globe for 12 years with Atlas and it’s a damned tank. I’m on my second bag now and that’s only because I was too lazy to send the first bag in for new zippers and refurbishment. Otherwise, the first bag is still perfectly functional after 7 years on the 747 dragging it through snow and ice in Anchorage, dirt ramps in Nigeria and generally abusing it through six continents. It’s a tank.

    Great review! After 1+ year with this bag what are your thoughts now? Do you recommend it? I’m a FA looking to replace my Briggs and Riley. I’m intrigued by the ergonomic handle, but I’m a little worried it might feel awkward to use.

    Nice review. I still have my Luggage Works from almost 20 years ago! That thing has been through the ringer, but it’s time to replace it. I’m moving to the 737 in a couple of months, so I’m curious to see how you like the new bag. Can you somehow attach a small duffle with your workout gear and shoes freeing up some space while also carrying food and brain bag? Cheers!

      Nice Doug! That’s good value out of that LW! I can tell you it’s been a breeze to slide it under the JS. No issues at all. Still getting used to the handle though. I was looking at adding another bag and it is possible. Although it would be adding another bag😬 for a total of 4. I might move back into my Oakley Kitchen Sink backpack in order to add the workout gear. Welcome to the B737! Cheers!

    What influenced you to become a pilot? How old where you when you felt like you wanted to be a pilot?

      Hi Nathaniel! Man, I’ve wanted to become a pilot ever since I could remember. My dad hung model planes on my ceiling as a small kid so I guess I have him to blame😁. My dad took lessons but never finished. Although I do remember watching him do touch and goes as a kid. I’m sure all that had an impact because I never wanted to do anything else...maybe play professional football but afterwards still become a pilot😆. Cheers!

    I am a big fan of Briggs and Riley , there compression system is second to none. Plus i have a built in suitor. Luggage works makes a specific 737 bag. The LW Stealth pemier is also 12 lbs , so about 3-4 lighter then the standard stealth. The Strong Bags is a smaller bag, and has no built in Suitor.

    Security: *Never* let your flight bag out of sight;
    _Reason is beyond the scope of this discussion_
    Peak of current "difficulties" occurred Friday 8-th January;
    Commercial 141 will be taking grads from places like Emery or whatever;
    If you are a reader wanting to be 141 ATP now is the time to expend effort looking;
    Early in your efforts you can do a mass-mailing to all the carriers you can find with very correct grammar asking what they think you should do • Once luckily I have an assistance by a Medivac · Every source of information you can find is the reply · Usual route often involves trying to build hours via instructor at Podunk FBO → You could for example try regional medium haul freight as some regular worker stating you want to go to flight-school ~ Replies will vary
    You will learn later just why;
    Military recruiters should be visited just the same as civilian I described;
    C. W. Lemoine is a good channel for studies on that;
    My first flights I am in a J-3 - There is a Navion starting takeoff roll - to test I wait until the wrong moment and sure as Call Centers are not mech's the "instructor" locks the brakes straddling the runway • By the time you get to actually operate this equipment you can have ¼-Million on the line if we include $233 Flight Bags stuffed with charts ♦ Time is chock-to-chock not when you pull into the parking structure + With adroit strategy you can have the carrier payback some of your costs but has to be that you survive the cull but then if you get past that they realize what you have invested

    Hanging my head in shame over the “don’t be that guy” thing 😔. At 1st I was wondering where I’d put my “If it ain’t Boeing I ain’t going” sticker, figured I could get a pin and stick it on. Then I went online and saw they offer a hardback version.
    As far as the size thing, you probably stretched the old bag out over the years.
    Now the whole Boeing vs Airbus thing... I get increasingly more open to the Bus as I get older. Surely you understand why. The technology doesn’t put me off, I flew the Hornet for 26 years, and it would fall out of the sky like a brick without its computers. As is the case with any aircraft designed to fight. Inherent stability by design makes a dog that won’t fight, because it’s going to fight you to stay straight and level flight.
    I just like the whole “MERICA” Thing. Childish I know, given the global economy we live in.

    • @FlyingwithBigErn
      @FlyingwithBigErn  3 роки тому +1

      😁 Hey Tom! Yeah it’s all good, we’re all recovering running shoe guys me included😉. My sticker placements have definitely been impacted!
      I think the stretching has happened for sure but the StrongBags Helix is smaller as far as capacity. Part of that is me, I need to take less.
      I love poking fun at the Airbus guys, but really that is a comfortable product. I’m with you though with the basic logic in design of all Boeing jets. I just wish they thought of us up front! Maybe is better on a 787🤷🏽‍♂️. Cheers Tom!

    Man! I’m so glad I found this video. I was wondering what those thin straps were for by the handle that clip onto those 4 d rings. Thank you for confirming what they’re intended for.
    Can’t wait to try this bag out. Normally yeah LW user, but I just can’t with the metal frame anymore. That and in 2018 our company was making us use TP for that uniform look. 🙄. Not sure what the policy is anymore but I don’t care. I am done with Travel pro. I will throw it out the window if I could. I’ve had 4 with 00 and were total garbage. 1 here with DAL and it’s still garbage. Never again with TP.

      I can give you mine. The bag is the biggest pain in the butt ever....I've had mine for 4 months now and have regretted every minute. The bag by itself is nice, but once you start loading it up with a flight bag and cooler, it's super unstable and flips over if you take turns sharp or fast. This is in part to the narrower design and because of the swiveling pole. Also, because of the single pole handle design and the strap/d-ring, securing your cooler on top gets annoying. By the time you're done securing your cooler/bag, you've been left in the dust by your crew. Not to mention makes randoms at kcm even more annoying. But you're probably like "what about the second buckle above the J hook?". Be my guest; It only makes the bag even more unstable and also puts more stress on the handle and the sleeve the pole goes into. After trying that route for a while, it feels like the sleeve has been distorted and the handles going to fall out.
      By it's self it'd be a great travel bag, not so much for crew life

    • @newty82
      @newty82 Рік тому +1

      @@littleeskimo7381 perfect... I never liked single pole handles on other brands of bags.. Just doesn't turn as well for simple physics reasons. Guess it doesn't work for crew life.. And 99% of people dislike heavy bulletproof suitcases more than they dislike single pole handles.
