Always a good idea to cut so it's bit longer than you think you need, different stems, or setup change might make you regret not doing so, good you did that.

Great move in replacing the stem and bars! I don’t trust Wake components because they feel really cheap. Just got Spank Spoon handlebars yesterday and I love them 😀 the included mud guard is a real plus

the mount is much better for a light than a camera, for camera setup I recommend to install a camera to the chin bar of a full face helmet. No gimbal needed, and viewer sees about what you see.

Bike is coming together, looks good. Man wish I would’ve mentioned the Brand New RockShox 35 Gold RL 150mm travel I’m selling, uncut steerer tube, $375. I was gonna use it on my Meta HT AM but decided to go bigger. Oh well.

when i was shopping for forks, it was supper weird. I could not find things in stock or a trust worth site to buy RockShocks. Price was high too

@@prolificbreedaquatics yes I totally understand where your coming from. I hit a snag with getting a decent dropper post, I ended up getting it from Aliexpress for $90. It was a isatori pro dropper 150mm, I already have a 100mm isatori pro dropper & very pleased with it on my Axum. That was the only part I hit a snag on.
The forks I got from a RockShox dealer on eBay, came with all the papers etc. so I was super pleased with the sale from them plus it’s the second fork I purchased from them so I had confidence in what I was purchasing. But as you already probably are aware of you gotta be cautious where & who you buy these forks from as well as any parts at that.

@@ds1755 yes every single part gave me a headache lol...That’s why after while a lot of the parts ended up being from companies like pnw, wtb, spank.

Your pipe shavings all went into the steer tube and would fall onto the seals of your stanchions.
Should have taken off the steer tube to cut buddy.

Great work! You have allot of patience (any money too 😋 jk).....I gave up on custom builds in the early 2000's.
Do you still like that bike stand after using it on this build? Just bought one on eBay... Hoping it can hold my commecal meta am 4.2

haha i still have it. Its good for 40 bucks. I never had a high end stand so I cant compare. For 40 dollars it did its job.
