Underpowered gear will get you cooked in the keys. Beef up those reels, thicken up that braid, and tie up longer leaders. Those fish will take you to the cleaners and back if you let ‘em.
I'm not fishing for sharks I'm trying to catch mutton snappers. Never liked fishing for sharks from the bridges

🌴hey my friend, had to laugh when you said not to many people here you had the place to yourself 😄 , thank god you got that bike rig that would be one hell of a walk , bush this is just a suggestion put a weighted go pro down there just to see what’s swimming around 🤔 , another suggestion try mak’n some chum balls and drop em down , mix canned mackerel from dollar store chopped bait fish ( your choice) and sand add just enough water to make them into base ball size. Put in a plastic bag and put in your freezer till your ready to use 👍🏼 thanks for taken us with !
That is the best idea. I had my underwater camera with me and I forgot to drop it lol. Next time I'm bringing cham and plenty of bait from Tampa not worth it by anything there💪💪

I would recommend the use of a good conventional reel for muttons on the bridge,
Conventional reels are the way to go for the bridge. But I never liked them 😀 I have had one sitting in the garage for years.
