Stitching At The Cabin is a channel about cross stitch. We are a mother daughter flosstube that “specializes” in large projects including HAED, Chatelaine, Gecko Rouge, and Mirabilia. You will also catch us rotating through smaller projects like Mill Hill and Just Nan. We do full coverage, we do partial coverage, we do no coverage! Oh... well maybe thats just called buying excess stash. You may even see an occasional bird. Live ones. Like the ones that talk. Unless you have a fear of birds. In that case, they are puppets. We like to think we are funny, but more likely we are just easily amused. You decide.

Julie! I get to see you in less than 12 hours!! I can't WAIT!! You did awesome by yourself! Please send Alyssa and Addie our love though. Missed seeing that little flame haired cutie! Your chatalaine is looking amazing! You are going to be done before you know it! I didn't know you were doing Celtic Summer. Those are on my 'to do' list. They are so pretty! I want to make the Winter one into a stocking. I hope your thumbs feel better! I always worry about something going wonky and not being able to stitch anymore. Getting older sucks! lol Your hiking adventures sound so fun.... and dangerous! lol See you soon!!!!!!
I'm so excited to see you!!!!! I'm leaving for the airport in a couple of hours. Hopefully they let me through TSA with my giant machete and ceiling fan. A stocking is such a good idea for the winter pattern. The odd shape when you try to frame is absolutely perfect for a stocking shape instead. See you soon! ~J

Love your key project! I'll bet the surgery and recovery are easier than you think. It's so stressful going through that, but I will be thinking of you and hope for the absolute best. My mom's surgeon said she shouldn't have any issues with surgery and my mom is 81. You've got this!!!! ~J

😂 your hiking story was my life on the regular. We live in Northern California and tarantulas, bears, mountain lions and snakes are around us constantly. Just the other day our daughters car got swiped by a bear paw. We use to have tarantulas all over our property at our other house. During mating season they would be everywhere even in our laundry. They are calm though and aren’t poisoness. You could just pick them up and move them where they were safe.
No. Absolutely not. Under no circumstances do you just pick up a tarantula and move it. Nope. I don't even have the words to tell you how horrified I am at the thought of tarantulas everywhere. I will now be crossing NorCal off of my list of places to live and/or visit. I will also be googling tarantula mating season before I leave the house so I don't accidentally find them everywhere. Although oddly we have a plethora of orb spiders (or some massive fat breed) in our neighborhood right now. We have one out in the backyard which I have seen but not gone anywhere near. That is officially his or her plot of land now. I bequeath it to the spider. While walking around the neighborhood I have run into two more terrifyingly close to the sidewalk. I will not be walking around the neighborhood again until I figure out why there are so many and how to avoid them. ~J

Blue’s clues Steve’s birthday was October 9th, he turned 50. Loved watching him with both my kids. You did great by yourself btw! ❤
