I enjoyed your video! You have so much enthusiasm it makes it fun. Lots of ambition:) I would like to recommend not using masking tape though. It makes your edges sticky, and if it's on for years it can compromise your fabric. Try a whip stitch or find someone with a serger. You can also turn the edge under and just sew it. I'd love to see a time lapse btw, that would be fun!
I'm seeing so many more people start their own flosstube, it's really growing and im loving it. Welcome to the community, I plan to start flosstube in the new year :)
Hi Jess, Your video was adorable. Cross stitching is a little bit solitary but those of us that have found Floss Tube really enjoy seeing other people’s talents and projects!
if you know anyone with the simpliest sewing machine that has the zig zag stich, it wil prevent the edges of the canvas to unravel. and : your video is really good. you show so much joy when talking about cross sitch. i do agree: cross stich is obsessing. congrats on your chanel. kisses from brazil
It’s a bit daunting but I should hopefully have plenty of time to work on it throughout the next few years ☺️ I’m not in a rush to finish, just enjoying the experience
How beautiful!!! When you showed the pattern I had a good laugh. It's huge! Enjoy the journey. I have been cross stitching since the 80's and I never tire of it. There is always something new. Good Luck!

Thank you so much! I have a WIP Parade coming out tomorrow on my channel. I’ll check out your videos next time I’m stitching, it sounds like we have similar taste in kits! 🥰
Just watched the unboxing of the very large world map, I am doing a similar size piece. What do you do, use a floor stand, do you fold the fabric, etc? Thanks for your help.
I use a q snap frame, with the fabric folded and tucked into a waterproof pillowcase to stop dirt, then I use a lowery stand to hold the frame while I work - though the q snap I use is large enough to balance on my knees if I'm working somewhere away from my lowery ☺️
I have to ask where you got the material with it already gridded that is that large? Looked online for that on Gecko Rouge pattern…wow! It says it is $1500 US dollars! I’m going to have to get a second job to keep up with my cross stitch habit! Lol
When you buy the kit, it comes with the fabric, so since I got 28 count, they send the pre-gridded fabric. I'd have no idea where to find fabric this big otherwise haha! I know, it's an expensive kit, but it's definitely worth the money (in my opinion). I'm thinking 10-20 years stitching on it, so if you divide the overall cost by 20, that's how much it costs for each year, which makes it a bit better to me haha. Plus joining the GeckoGold club gets you 10% off, and a voucher every 6 months - which I thought was super worthwhile for this kit! I know what you mean - I need a second job AND some extra storage space somewhere for all of my collection haha
