Not only was the AMC Spirit wider, longer and similar in price, it could be specified with an AMC 6cyl with a Torqueflite trans - it was basically a Gen II Gremlin, which was basically a SWB Hornet - possibly the best compact car of the decade. The 6cyl Spirit would SMOKE that Chevette and do it in style!

Yw! The newsbreak isn't included on the tape sadly but I do have one from 1983
