Hi Robert. Unfortunately all forge items, including the battleworn helmet, are found randomly by opening chests in The Krypt. I have had the most luck by unlocking chests worth at least 5,000 koins and especially hidden chests that can be found by wearing Kenshi's blindfold. There are many hidden chests along the perimeter of the courtyard. I wish I could give you a better answer but it's a mystery.

I found the helmet in the armory part of the krypt check the kenshi chests or the regular chests
