    Exactly. When Steve Shutt scored 60 in 76-77 they expected it ever year. He was a 35 goal guy. Ray is absolutely spot on here.....

      Hard when we've had the injuries we've had this year
      Full team plus another top 4 dman and I think we can contend

    Brock is a 30+ goal scorer. He will get 8 million+ on the market. 8 is fine. 8.5 is borderline. but demko wont cost a ton. We're fine paying him.

      Because he has a bad reputation with the fans, I know he’s heating back up now but he’s inconsistent and fragile. JT Miller has gone all out for this team for a long time nos

    Can't agree more. Boeser was ineffective when Miller was out. We don't want to get into Leaf's situation where top 4 players make up almost half of the salary cap. Can't build a championship team like that.

    listen, if a CEO of a multi million dollar company walked away from his job for 3 weeks because his mind was not into it, he would be gone. These sports figures make alot of money and need to deal with it. unless it is a family issue put your skates on and get out there.

    Glad to hear Miller will be back tonight against Florida. I agree with Ferraro that they need him bad, and also as Ferraro says, Miller is the team leader next to Hughes. His stats have proved that over the last few seasons, consistently being in the Top 10 - 20 for goals /assists all season long. Unfortunately this is NOT the case with Petterson, and the fact that he earns $3 million more than Miller is a big mistake by Canucks management. Petey is a great player but making him the Canucks franchise superstar on a level with McDavid, Mackinnon, Dreisatl, Nylander,etc. -- is just plain wrong.

    • @mrquirky3626

      They not trading Petey so just bite the bullet already and choose a new team to cheer for before you give yourself an ulcer. Every fricking day you're in the comments complaining about Petey like he purposely killed you dog or stole your girlfriend or something. Switch to being a Jets fan, they're doing really well, and you'll probably start to enjoy life better.

      Ya but Miller is outperforming his contract and the salary cap is only going up. Petey's been underperforming but he's coming around.

      23 points in 15 games. He's playing well. He fights for pucks and makes pretty amazing passes. I think petterson is great.

      Both are great, but the chemistry Boeser and Miller have is unmatched with any chemistry Pettersson has with anyone. Tho him and DeBrusk have played great together recently, along with Kuzmenko in the past.

    Getting the 5th highest salary in The NHL should be reserved for Hart Trophy candidates; anyone here think Pettersson will ever be a Hart winner? (If you do, you're delussional.) Worst contract ever signed, that Canucks have to sit and eat over years, for a player who does have talent, but seems disinterested in even playing hard for most of the game. Things seemed to be going in the right direction for Vancouver, and then this bonehead contract comes out of nowhere... ?? There are at least 3 players currently on The Canucks who are better players than Petey; so what are Demko, Hughes going to make on their new deals? Thank goodness Miller was willing to sign a reasonable deal; I wouldn't be surprised, though, that he was not a happy camper to sign for 8 Million, and then watch a lesser hockey player that hasn't proven much, get 3.5 Million more!

      @bakikountwa2192 7 днів тому

      Unfortunately, you need all to perform at their best in order to win a cup. And that makes it very hard to win in a team game because you need everybody at the same page.

    Yes, JT is heart of the team, but he’s damaged goods now and to gamble $8M of cap space into so much uncertainty long term is not good management. Canucks need to explore offseason.
