Eni, need vlogger here, and I just wanted to say that I love your content. I am mid 30s and your content resonates with me in ways. TYSM for being raw, real and God-loving out loud.

Hi Eni! I really love the fashion/beauty/lifestyle content you create on instagram. My youtube algorithm suggested your channel one day and I've been locked in ever since. You really speak to so many things that I'm also experiencing: dating, self-confidence going up, realizations from therapy, living alone, etc! I love these girl chats. It would be great if you could talk more about what it means to be a young, successful Black woman - the highs, lows, things in between. I'm 25 going on 26 and it's dawning on me that I'm ahead of the majority of my peers (financially independent, strong alignment with my career, great lifestyle, and generally wise for my age). And although I love and give praise to God for the life I have always imagined, sometimes I tussle with the reality that not everyone around me is in the same boat. I'd love your thoughts on this, and maybe also how it relates to dating mishaps with men who may be similar in age, but aren't on the same frequency.

40:37 Their audience are the single people, but it’s the single people who speak down to themselves who have low self-esteem who feel like they need to be dragged down just to be brought up. People that buy into the truth hurts mentality and tough love. I think they’re really drawn to that because she’s framing it as something that people don’t want to hear but it’s something her target audience has been repeating to themselves either out loud or internally. I really enjoyed this video and vibe!

Anytime you use a Danessa Myricks eyeshadow product it just looks so so good! I’d love to try her things one day, it’s just pricey here in Canada. Also where is your bonnet from?
I just watched your recent podcast episode with Ismatou and it was a nice watch. I agree with you, there are so many amazing countries to visit in Africa. I think people just need to be a bit more open minded

@@EniPopoolaThank you! Is that the very first concealer you used? The one you used to conceal hyperpigmentation is what I meant. I believe Huda is the one you used to highlight

Most, if not all, Carnival bands offer full coverage bottoms. I know you mentioned there was a mix up with your costume, but I wanted to clearly state that in case there’s anyone on the fence about attending carnival. You don’t have to wear a thong or cheeky bottom if you don’t want to. Carnival costumes are customizable.

Hey Eni! I adore everything you do and enjoy your chatty long form videos the most. I will be honest with you, I could tell you seemed uncomfortable with the Toronto carnival look because as you said, you do have a lot of modest looks but like most young women, you strike a balance with modesty and trendier looks of self expression. Also you deliver classy looks like no other. You also put us on brands and looks that sometimes aren’t marketed to our demographic. I hope we see you on more beauty trips or fashion trips because we see a lot of class in you and your brand just screams class, leveling up, improvement, well rounded, etc. not to say carnival ladies aren’t classy - because black women aren’t a monolith and being sexy doesn’t make us not classy -- just that it takes a certain level of comfortability with the level of exposure at carnival). That said, I respect your decisions 100% and I think your subscriber community that really values you will always keep it honest with you with kind feedback only because we do support you and always want to see you win. That said you looked beautiful as always on the trip and I hope more brands involve you in brand trips because whether it’s content captured on the trips, photography or looks, you excel every time! Thank you for sharing snippets of your life with us and Will continue to root for you and keep doing what you’re doing 💕

Loved this chat! I would like to know more about your experience as a New Yorker. I know you’ve touched on it a bit, like how you received a scholarship for grade school. I’m curious your overview of it in general, now that it’s the place to be as an influencer. How has your experience shifted through the years?

lol idc if this is selfish of me to say imma say it. Please dont stop making dating commentary in your videos!! I feel like on tiktok especially the only ppl willing to talk about dating are those who are pretty polarized in their perspective. Its nice to get a normal level headed person's perspective on dating and what they learned from their experiences. I understand that it sucks that a man irl assumed that you're talking about him, but his assumpition is completely unfair if we're being real bc you didnt provide any personal info. He clearly was in a distressed state about the relationship not working out so he was reaching for any possible info to help make sense of the situation in his mind. I think that your perspective is very helpful and I personally think you should keep giving it :)

Djab (jab) means devil in Haitian Creole. It’s interesting to hear the story behind Grenada carnival. I’ve always wanted to attend one but haven’t had the time just yet.
