Just saw the camera segment (I am interested in buying a new phone from the ones that came out late last year), and I have to say, camera comparisons are subject to one's taste. I personally preferred the 8T pictures in every scenario besides the selfie camera. Especially the night mode in the 8T was more natural (pixel's was overexposed) and with better dynamic range, that bubbly building in the background looked a lot sharper on the 8T's night shot. Not to mention in the pixel shots the sky has noise and in that photo with the building, it also had artifacts. As for the macro camera, which I will be super happy to have, cropping into an image can not deliver the same detail as having macro focus, even if the image does not have a lot of noise. Now as far as the monochrome sensor goes, this is used in computational photography to improve low light shots, which to me, it does as opposed to the pixel's shots!
The 8T is a great value without a doubt but I just don't want a phone that's this large. So, I got the Pixel 5 and had a good time with it overall but I had to return it because I was a victim of the screen gap issue you may have heard of. I opted for a refund rather than a replacement because I figure, I may as well be able to buy it again at a better price over the holidays. However, I've had more time to consider other options as well. Both the OnePlus 8T and the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE are really compelling. My main issue with both is the size. I really do like a compact phone. The Pixel 5 is actually a little bit smaller than the Nokia 8 I currently use and has a significantly larger screen. That felt really great. Regarding the Samsung specifically, I'm not a fan of the software and the overall design language. The OnePlus one the other hand, has a comparatively weaker camera. If the OnePlus came with the Samsung's camera or if the Samsung had the software of the OnePlus, I'd probably get either and just get used to the size. But as it stands, I think I'll just wait for a better offer on the Pixel 5 and buy that again. The weaker chipset doesn't bother me. Perfectly fine for light general use which is all I do on my phone. The speakers are good enough; still an upgrade over my old phone. I also grew to like the wireless charging option. I was skeptical but I do see the appeal now even though it's only a minor convenience.

I'm in Europe so Oneplus 8T 549 anyday for me. Better display, better performance, premium metal build, and faster changing. In 3 years, the OP8T will be still smooth with performance from that Snap865 while the Snap765 will be lagging LOL For me fast charging is more important than wireless charging because if you have your phone at 10% battery, plug the 8T and in 15min it'll be at 80% or so. While the Pixel wireless charge will take hours to charge and the only convenience is that you don't need cables. Plus, with cable charging you can be using your phone while it's charging while in wireless charge everytime you grab the phone it stops charging because of course it's not resting in the wireless adapter anymore LOL Wireless charge only advantage is you reduce your cables a bit LOL
Just wanted to add, Oneplus doesn't CLAIM to have a waterproof rating however most US carriers and water tests show it is water resistant, possibly IP68.
OnePlus blew it with the 2 years minimum software update. I am seriously waiting if they are going to announce that they've decided to upgrade their os support by another year.
If you are in India then op 8t is the best choice and if you really have 50 k as your budget go for op 8 pro or else go for 8t but not samsung fe only if you buy in India
In Canada, Pixel is better due to carrier contract discounts. One Plus is not sold by any Canadian carriers. All phones are factory unlocked by law since 2017 so carrier contracts are the way to go.

No one commenting about pixel 5 call clarity and media sound. bought pixel 4a5g,couple days before, call clarity average, i think in crowd area you can't hear the voice, also watching youtube videos always max volume is average, if decrease no use, totally unhappy sold already think buy oneplus 8t, before i use oneplus 5t call clarity and media sound amazing
hey SUPERSAF, Whats your Camera Gear ?
Like both, and actually prefer bigger screens, but gonna try pixel 5 this year
Why no digital zoom camera samples? Need to know now that Google made a massive mistake with no telephoto, is the digital zoom any good?
In my opinion, if I compare price and features of both the phones. Undoubtedly, Oneplus is superior. Common, in just $50 difference, you are getting 120hz refresh rate, 12 GB ram and 256 GB UFS3.1
One plus won, and nicely explain bro. 🔥
How so?
@@arjanvirdi3 for me:
Camera
120 Ghz.
Processor. 😅😅
@@Shahisworld 90Hz is good enough on the pixel, it's just the processor that's making 8T more powerful
@@arjanvirdi3 that's y I said it nah !!
I'm in Europe so Oneplus 8T 549 anyday for me. Better display, better performance, premium metal build, and faster changing. In 3 years, the OP8T will be still smooth with performance from that Snap865 while the Snap765 will be lagging LOL
For me fast charging is more important than wireless charging because if you have your phone at 10% battery, plug the 8T and in 15min it'll be at 80% or so. While the Pixel wireless charge will take hours to charge and the only convenience is that you don't need cables. Plus, with cable charging you can be using your phone while it's charging while in wireless charge everytime you grab the phone it stops charging because of course it's not resting in the wireless adapter anymore LOL
Wireless charge only advantage is you reduce your cables a bit LOL
1+ for sure beacuse it is cheaper givu 865 Snapdragon processor camera are also good.Wireless charging doesn't matter value for money product
This is a hard decision to choose, because on paper the Oneplus 8T has better specs, however Pixel 5 offer better software what is a plus.
I hope you can make a comparison between 8T and 7T Pro... They have almost same price... Is it worth it to upgrade from 7T Pro to 8T?
It's not worth the upgrade
Monochrome camara is usefull to take background blur videos
Unfortunately OnePlus is not sold here in Australia and the pixel does not come with any promotion even from the retailers!
Wish the Pixel came in more colors.
the only downside for me on Pixel 5 is it is still 18W.... both are great devices
Just wanted to add,
Oneplus doesn't CLAIM to have a waterproof rating however most US carriers and water tests show it is water resistant, possibly IP68.
Could you do a camera comparison between the Gcam on the one Plus 8T and the pixel 5?
OnePlus blew it with the 2 years minimum software update. I am seriously waiting if they are going to announce that they've decided to upgrade their os support by another year.
They are supporting for 3 years
@@BudgetNugs you mean security patches? I only know they have 2 years of Android version updates and 3 years of security patches.
Ye its 3 years OS updates now so u get same as Pixel 5 + u can also download GCam which makes camera better so 8T easy choice
I'll buy S20 FE instead. Best of both worlds.
With wireless charging and ip68
If you are in India then op 8t is the best choice and if you really have 50 k as your budget go for op 8 pro or else go for 8t but not samsung fe only if you buy in India
Or go for OnePlus 8
If you are in india please trust me don't go for Samsung it's way more costly than op ones
@KRYPTO NITE that's why go for OnePlus
It's the Pixel for me. Although the fast charge and bigger battery of One plus is quite enticing. I'd till go with the Pixel. #PixelFanBoy
I'm going with Pixel 5... Coz I'm still use Pixel 2xl with Android 11 Update 🔥🔥
Glad I got a OnePlus 8 on sale , matte > glossy
Nice video, but why no one says nothing about free unlimited storage at full resolution in Google photos for all Google pixel phones ?!?
In Canada, Pixel is better due to carrier contract discounts. One Plus is not sold by any Canadian carriers. All phones are factory unlocked by law since 2017 so carrier contracts are the way to go.
