- Sandie Shaw, MBE (born Sandra Ann Goodrich; 26 February 1947) is an English singer. One of the most successful British female singers of the 1960s, she had three UK number one singles with "(There's) Always Something There to Remind Me" (1964), "Long Live Love" (1965) and "Puppet on a String" (1967). With "Puppet on a String", she became the first British entry to win the Eurovision Song Contest. She returned to the UK top 40, for the first time in 15 years, with her 1984 cover of the Smiths song "Hand in Glove". Shaw announced her retirement from the music industry in 2013.
The 60's will always be my favorite era...The music, TV shows, movies, hair styles, clothing...Like nothing else...
Elle i love your comment i feel the same way as you ,,this darling gal was every thing we wanted ,, her beauty , dress , hair style ,, voice ,, A perfect mixture lol Janw x
True words
She’s heavenly
So much interesting stuff going on behind Sandie. You've got a blonde guy in a dark suit who REALLY doesn't want to be there, the two young men directly behind her who look like their going to fight each other over the girl with a flower in her hair BUT the most amazing thing is the guy on the far right, in the jacket and turtleneck sweater who may be a malfunctioning android judging from his dance moves.
My gosh she was stunning 🥰, she's still a very attractive lady!.
You do not know how much. The fact she was as hard left as Chrissie Hyde to me is not the point Given were they come from it was always going to be that why. Women are inclusive.Nen exclusive. Most women don't have a clue politically and I judge women by their beauty and intelligence and it would be simplistic to say that sandie the type who thought she could save the world by having sex with any man and I never met her or saw a gig with her performing in person, but I was wrapped in her final releases of 1968-70 and White is Wight was my favourite Radio Caroline NZ track inn1970 when it was released in 1970 and her records were the first I ever brought. My sister's were listening to Quarto and Exile on Main Straight by 1973 but for me other than Clapton only Christine McVie on Rumours came close to Sandie Shaw I mean the Marianne Faithful or Nico at the time of Broken English were hardly a sex fantasy and I didn't actually meetJoan Collins or Chrisie Hyde when they came to Auckland or Wellington in 1977 or 1982 although if I had not been otherwise engaged at the time

Darling girl , she was so talented i adored her voice , clothes and hair style ,, she was my all time favourite of the 60s era lol x
Beautiful Sandie you bring back a whole lotta memories of our youth! ♡
Now that's a stylish frock Sandie is wearing.
'Tell The Boys' is one of her best songs. She also presented it at the BBC 'A Song For Europe' ESC preselection early in 1967.
I recorded it from BBC radio Pick of the Pops with Alan Freeman Sunday afternoon. I think Sandie preferred this song to Puppet on a String which won eurovision in 1967
Love this , Sandie absolutely brilliant 😎🇬🇧
What a great song and catchy tune. I haven't heard this for years.
Dobra muzyka. Fajna melodyjna. Ciekawa wykonawczyni. Pozdrawiam wszystkich!!!
The lovely Sandie performing on German tv.
Certainly remember this song from the late 60's. Brings back fond memories. Wonder where Sandie is in 2022?
What a timeless elegant shoeless beauty, good old Sandie. And what a sweet voice!
One of my favourites from Sandie
❤️❤️❤️Sandie❤️❤️❤️
I wanted to mention that the crowd dance looks silly.
Then I remembered I used to dance like that...
Gute gute alte Zeit als ob es gestern war. Schön war es. DANKE für Deine Musik 🎶 🎶 🎶
A great singer.I can easily see why The Smith's were enamored with her.
Puppet On A String won in the selection process and, ultimately, Eurovision. This, however, was my personal favourite and would easily have won too in my opinion
This song was the 'B' side to Puppet on a String in the UK
It was but was uplifting enough to top the charts
Its sounds very much a eurovision song
Sandie hated "Puppet on a String", she thought it misrepresented her and had been chosen by old folks who were watching Rolf Harris, not by her fans. She would have preferred "Tell The Boys" to be elected, and I agree with you, it probably would have won too.
Noch ein Lied aus meiner Lehrzeit , ich liebe es bis heute . Danke Sandie Shaw
En España se la conocia por " la cantante de los pies descalzos",porque no llevaba zapatos/shoes
Year 2022 nobody else sings like that anymore.
Nice !
Now I know why Morrissey loved her. Awesome!!
I know very few about mister morrissey....but I know he appreciates people who have true talents, for example Also late artists as missis dusty springfield and mister peter wyngarde and a good atlete as bruce lee
elle chantait souvent à pieds nus
This series was broadcast in a 3th public network from Frankfurt (Hessischer Rundfunk).
So in the most parts of Germany it was not able to watch.
The show was recorded on locations in Hessen often in the near of the US army headquarters and in the first time broadcast also on AFN Radio.
In those days also young teenagers from the US were invited to the event.
Maybe there is a mixture of Germans and folks from the US.
This episode was recorded in the townhall of Offenbach (Offenbacher Stadthalle).
the real star is the dreamboat dancing behind her
Yes, I also noticed that guy who is dancing behind her. He is so Cute.
I noticed that too!
Jules one fantastic lady massive singer love all her 🎵
Not heard this lively b side since 1967 that song has been forgotten but some n sides have made the charts take Man who sold the world on 1974 by David Bowie it became a single by Lulu
Timeless 👍🎶
ALL GOOD , i love youre expression of a word ,, it brings together the thoughts of this divine woman ,,who did so very well in the 60s era x Her looks and voice were paramount ,,i will still love her classics until eternity xxx lol Jane xx🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹

Sandi Shaw has such a great voice. I never heard this song before. I wonder if it was released on a 45 or an album and if it was a big hit for her.
I'm wondering if Sandi was singing this in German but it was dubbed in English.
Crazy to think in this video most of the people in this video in 2023 would now be at least in their early/mid 70's.
Who else is here because of Last Night In Soho?
If you're reading these comments sandie, after 48 years, its time you kept the promise you made to me...
Oh this is pure gold x
nice dancing too, i mean her, sandie
Oh boy I wish I had a Time Machine
The shoes are so ugly today but back then I thought they were sexy.

Que moça magnífica com sua voz incrível e maravilhosa. Canta muito bem e esta música é muito linda.
I really fancy the guy who's dancing real sexy next to Sandie with Pamela Franklyn!
I voted for this , by postcard back then , I though Puppet was to obvious..
Winnie Wallace...Sandie looks cool which is more than can be said for the dancers...
Maravilhosa cantora ,quanto mais velha ,mais bonita,demais...
Think it All Over was one of my first singles but this is a new one for me
Fantastic but that lad in the back ground keeps edging in to be noticed 🥴🥴😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣
Unfortunately most of singers backthen have to sing in playback
I love how sandies skirt is much shorter than the german girls 🇬🇧
